When I signed the contract in 2005, unfortunately I was not provided a copy of this agreement at signing, and despite my insistence that my sales agent provide one to me as soon as possible, this never happened. I was reassured by the Quantum alarm sales agent that this was just a ""basic"" contract, there is nothing to worry about, therefore I decided to stop my pursuit. My sales agent in 2005 never explicitly told me I had a 3 year agreement, nor did he explain that there would be a stiff penalty if I were to try and leave early.
Pros: teaches you how to deal with corrupt, manipulative people
Cons: they will try to brow beat you into submission
