Took my 2001 325xi in for service and I received a call from my advisor Ashley Walker saying that I needed cv boots, oil pan gasket and rear diff resealed. He said that if I didn'...

Patricia is awesome! 5/24/2011

I wanted to take a minute to thank Patricia Fradenburg at Performance BMW. Patrica has been my service advisor for the entire time I've had my BMW and she makes the experience easy. She always acts like I'm the only customer there. I've previously used another BMW service center in Raleigh, but I'm glad I found Performance BMW. It's close to where I work and as long as Patrica's there, I'll always be back! Ben, Raleigh NC. more

Performance Subaru--Great Customer Service! 5/4/2011

I took my Ford to Performance Chevrolet in Chapel Hill because I have had lackluster experiences with other service centers in the past. At Performance Chevrolet, I talked to Brant, who was extremely helpful in determining, based on my car's history, what services needed to be performed. After I told him that I was okay with the services that he listed and gave me an estimate for, Brant informed me that the whole process would be a two-day process. He said that they could do part of the service that afternoon, give me my car back, and do the rest of the service the next day. I was happy to do this, as having my car is necessary. He told me that he would not be there on the second day, so he introduced me to Tom, a Subaru service advisor, before I left. He ensured me that Tom was well-aware what all was going on with my vehicle and told me to go to him tomorrow when I came to get my car serviced. The cost of my service was less than his estimate and I was extremely satisfied with the service job. I came back to Performance Chevrolet's service department a month after my service to inquire about something that was hanging down at the back of my car. Brant looked at it and told me it was just the trailer connector hook-up, but told me they would be able to fix it. When I got my car back, the connector was no longer hanging down and--Brant said it was free of charge. I will definitely continue my service at Performance Chevrolet! more

Pretty bad, even for a car dealership 9/2/2008

I purchased my 3rd BMW from Performance earlier this year (3rd BMW in total, 1st from Performance). My parents decided it was time for their baby to become an adult and buy her own damn car and after coming thisclose to signing some ridiculous ""deal"" on a new 328i this really hyper, crazy-eyed guy had ""worked out just for me,"" I came to my senses and ran away. I checked out other cars, desperately wanted an Infiniti G37 but since the previous cars were in my parents names, I had little credit to go on. So back to BMW I trudged, knowing I could get something there because BWM Financial ""knew"" me. I figured pre-owned would work best for now so I started looking. I thought I liked a 2004 330i. Pressured into making a decision, I stayed cool until I got a call saying ""Oh, it's the end of the month, we're sending that car to auction unless you buy it now."" Stupid scare tactic worked on me, I'm ashamed to say. Bought it that night. Then the problems start. Like, uh, hey, y'know that turn signal with the condensation on the inside and the sensor that says there's a broken tail light? Yeah, the stuff you were supposed to fix before? Yeah, when you said you fixed that, did you really mean you DIDN'T fix that, because that's what it looks like. Yeah, you omitted the key word - ""DIDN'T."" I have had the car in there 3 times for the tail light thing, each time assured it's fixed for good this time (guess what? No it's not), the rear defroster doesn't work and they just keep saying, ""Well, we don't know how to test that since it's not foggy when we have it"" (it is when I get outta' work at 3am, though, thank-you-very-much, I'm sure there's some way to simulate condensation during the day), my tire monitor doesn't work, which I found out when I almost flipped the car when the pressure shot down to less than 10psi in a front tire. I could go on and on but this damn citysearch box is saying I'm outta' room. Peace out. Find a better BMW dealership, I know I will. Pros: They have BMW's - that's the only pro they have Cons: Greedier and pushier than normal salesmen, the truth is something they prefer to dance around and all that great service they promised you? Ha ha, good luck with that. more

BMW Dealer Service/Repair Alternative-- 8/28/2008

We are a BMW/Mercedes specialty shop and know how frustrating it can be to have to get your car serviced, especially by the ""Stealer."" If you ever want to regain trust in the people who service your BMW's, come take a look at our website. We will turn your thinking around about the Automotive Service Industry. Thank you.\r \r Google Search: MPowered Automotive\r \r We are in Cary, off Cary Parkway\r \r Pros: Nice People Cons: Too many to list more

New Buildings mean nothing for personality or service 6/17/2008

I have taken my BMW to performance a few times since I moved here and each time wonder why I did not go elsewhere. My service down south in Florida was nothing to brag about, but compared to Performance, I miss it.\r \r I have never been offered a loaner vehicle, even when booked in advance. I have asked for them on many occasions, only to find them ""booked."" The funny part about them being ""booked"" is when I go to pick up my car later that day, the same loaners are in the same spot they used to be.\r \r Attention to detail was lost somewhere between my turning off the ignition and handing the keys over. I have found on many occasions that rubber insulators in the engine compartment were just placed on the block (potential fan damage), windows and doors have been returned broken (no window or door work to be done), always get my car back dirtier than I left it, oil and coolant lights are a given...\r \r The staff is always too busy to answer questions, they are mainly concerned with not talking and getting you out the door.\r \r The new facilities look great, but they still provide the same shoddy service and customer care. \r \r Do not count on me to buy any vehicle or return for service. Pros: I know where not to have my BMW serviced Cons: Poor workmanship and customer care more

Poor workmanship, totally disconnected, but very Courteous 4/14/2008

Have a BMW & an Acura TL and do all the services there, since I work close by. The workmanship is very poor. Have had trims takent out & not put back (more than once), forgot to align head lights, Forgot to put parts back (found them in the trunk). Pinched some harness while fixing power windows problem, leading to not able to open doors from inside at all. They test drove the car after some repair, and almost totally ran it out of gas and gave it bakc to me promptly. Car was given back to me so filthy that I had to call the GM to take a look at it. \r \r Drop off and pick up is good. People are very friendly, nice & courteous, but I can say without doubt, the mechanics are very poor in caliber. I doubt, whether they have any QA system at all to make sure that cars were serviced to resolve the issues. Pros: Couteous, firendly people Cons: Poorly trained mechanics (Jiffy Lube may be better.....I am not kidding) more

Great Customer Service 10/18/2006

I purchased my car from this place. But, I don't want to comment on the Sales Department. What I would like to comment on is there Service Department. 9/10 times they answer the phone promptly. And 10/10 times the service they performed on my car is top notch. One time my car was making a weird noise and they even diagnosed it for free. Then they called me to tell me what the problem was and let me know exactly what the problems were before doing anything. Great Service Department! They are rated by Subaru as a ""Stellar Performer"". more

Performance puts a personal touch on service and car buying 9/14/2006

I purchased my Acura from Performance in 2002, and received a great deal from them without feeling that they were trying to rip off a young, single woman. They made the car buying process enjoyable! But their courtesy didn't stop after the purchase. Their service center is phenomenal -- from the shuttle driver to the service consultants, they are all friendly, resourceful, and respectful. In addition, unique to the Hendrick's dealerships is the ""west coast"" treatment that is teflon-based (I think), and it made my car shine inside and out. I received many compliments on the shine from strangers in parking lots! I have recommended Performance to friends, family, and colleagues, and would certainly buy from them again. Pros: west coast treatment, service, courteous staff Cons: parking lot difficult to navigate more

Great place to do business - they will help and they care !! 8/26/2006

I have found that if you have a problem the people in the dealership will certainly step and always have anytime I needed assistance. I am long time client and have always found the decision makers are hands on and involved and care about you in a unique way meaning if something needs to be handled - its handled. They have a great customer care dept. that follows each experience up to make sure all is perfect, and if not the decision makers are ""quickly in touch with you to resolve"". They have a great marketng approach about ""they PROMISE"" to take care of their clients and I can assure you they do !! Pros: Great product mix of vehicles from budget to high line - unique to find at one place. Cons: None more

The Place for Porsche 5/20/2006

I have never written an internet review before but since I saw 2 reviews for Performance Auto that were critical, I just wanted to mention my experience. I purchased a C4S and was treated like royalty. I ordered the car nearly 7 months ago and it arrived 2 weeks ago and honestly the entire process could not have been better. And this is coming from someone who has an aversion to car buying and sales persons. Everybody I dealt with was personable and professional and I think I would have received this level of attention if I were purchasing a less expensive car. Several friends and colleagues from work have also purchased cars from Performance and the level of satisfaction has been very high. I would buy again from them with confidence and sincerely hope that this review is helpful and that others share a similar experience! Pros: Quality, Communication, Customer Service Cons: None so far more

Dishonest 10/30/2005

After spendoing $1,000.00 in July 2005 I still have the same problems with the car. When I bring it in regarding these problems they say there are new ones that will cost another couple of thousand dollars. They just recently serviced my car and didn't connect the radiator hose properly. The hose blew off causing coolent to spray all over the engine and the car overheated causing the ""Service Engine"" light to turn on. Now I have to go back to them to turn it off. I wonder what kind of excuse they'll come up with this time. I am getting rid of my BMW. Pros: None, None, None Cons: long wait lines, unskilled, dishonest more

Buyer beware 4/10/2003

Leased a BMW with 29,000 miles and drove it 3,000 to have the staff tell me I needed to do $600 of preventive maintenance when I brought it in at 33,000 miles. This was after the their mechanic told me this work should be done b/t 29k and 34k. Staff does not provide documentation to support its case and is unyielding. Don't care about losing customers. Would recommend it only for very rich people who are willing to throw away their money. Pros: selection, location Cons: unethical, contradictory more
