The staff at Performance are always friendly and willing to help. Luckily I don't have to bring my car in for service in very often, but when I do it is always a pleasure. Clean, comfortable waiting area with refreshments, TV and Wi-Fi. Can't recommend it more, great place! more

Very good service 10/27/2011

Sure all cars will eventually run into some type of issues but the staff and technicians at Performance really make the unforeseen circumstances a little easier to deal with. Initial visit for service was at a BMW dealership on Capital Blvd because of convenience and after a lengthy wait, remembered why the car was not purchased there. Drove towards Chapel Hill (before requiring a tow) and received the great service and assistance that I've been receiving for the past 4 years. Sure I didn't get a car wash (it isn't the greatest honestly) but did get taken care of and was back in my vehicle the very next day. They even had crepes for you to enjoy! Go ahead and compare them to the other BMW dealership on Capital and you'll realize it will be worth the trip! more

Performance ? Sometimes yes, sometimes no 10/10/2011

Bought two cars there and staff are courteous. Service is highly variable in quality though staff are almost always friendly and helpful. Sometimes, however, it took 2-3 tries to get things right. Don't rely on the fact that it says fluids were checked, tires were rotated and pressure checked, etc., always check yourself. Also, if waiting for the car, sometimes the wash is so backed up it's not worth waiting 30-45 minutes extra to get a sloppy car wash. Overall, better than many dealerships but it ain't prime time, baby, when you compare to Mercedes dealerships. Oddly, my wife recently got a call from Performance to say the manager had seen her car while it was in for service and wanted to offer a great trade in. Meanwhile my wife had forgotten to bring in the car, so there was no way they saw it during service. more

Great Service! 10/9/2011

I've used Performance BMW for service for 3 years now - both for my car as well as my husband's and have been very impressed. The service staff is incredibly friendly, prompt and informative. The car is always delivered on time and clean, and getting an appointment is easy. We've also bought two cars at Performance and the experience has been great! No hassles. Very pleasant. Fred and his team were extremely helpful during my recent service appointment for my certified preowned bmw. Overall performance was very knowledgeable, helpful, and above all extremely prompt in keeping me updated with the latest and greatest with my car. They even went above and beyond to assit in the process of retrofitting my car with BMW accessories. I had such an excellent experience with performance I will continue to utilize their expertise with any future maintaince/servicing for my car - worth the drive from Raleigh for such excellent service. Excellent in every way. Arrived at Performance BMW on a Saturday afternoon around 4:15 pm with a flat tire. They replaced my tire and I was on my way even though they had to stay 30 min. after closing. Everyone in the Service Dept. was considerate, knowledgeable and attentive. UNBELIEVABLE 7/22/2011

Even though I didn't buy my car from Performance, I couldn't be more happier about my decision to take it to them ! Maurice is an excellent service rep. , and attended to all the cars needs as well as mine. I was super impressed with the courtesy which was extended to me and felt as though my needs were a priority even if still under warranty. There is no doubt that I will continue to do business with them and have already spread the word. I felt like I drove a new car off the lot......and when in need of my next one, will head to Performance ! more

Simply Terrific Service 7/10/2011

I've now bought 6 new vehicles from Performance over the years, with 4 from Performance BMW. The service department there is among the best I've experienced anywhere. They are friendly and very focused on the customer. I'm also aware that they regularly have work sessions where they work through any issues and exceptions that have happened, so they are always working to ensure service levels continue to be good. Another characteristic that is different here than at some other dealers is that there is always one person who handles your visit- from check in, though keeping you updated with status, through checking you out when the work is done. This compares with some other dealers in the Raleigh-Durham area where I've felt like I was continually being ""thrown over the wall"" to the next person, and often that next person had no idea what my circumstances were- with less than acceptable results. Net: Even though I live in downtown Raleigh, it's well worth the drive to Chapel Hill to Performance BMW when I need any type of service for my car. more

Awesome customer service 7/10/2011

I have been taking my 2003 540i to Performance BMW for four years for service. They are considerabley farther away than my local dealer but worth the extra drive because the service they provide is first rate. The quality of work has been consistently high quality but the reason I keep going to Performance is because of their focus on customer servive. Work is completed when promised, they are very good at keeping me updated on progress with the vehicle and the shuttle service to work is great. For those minor repairs they have a very clean and comfortable louge for customers to wait while the work gets done. I recommend Performance BMW to anyone needing repairs. more

As the owner of a 2008 BMW Li looking to add a small sports car for spirited driving, I went this month to Performance BMW (had previously purchased there multiple times). Buying at the dealership was, as always, a wonderful experience. The attention to detail is unmistakable in terms of the culture of the staff from the greeting at the door, to the personalized demo drive, thru the quick sales process. Kudos to Bob Wohlfarth in sales for his professionalism and his phenomenal explanation of the workings of the equipment on the twin turbo Z4 that I purchased as well as to Erin Woolley for the quickest handling of paper work on record. All too often folks post reviews to complain, There was nothing to complain about at Performance BMW and everything to praise. Hope to return there for the next Bimmer. more

Bought a CPO 3 series. Tim was great at helping research the possibilities and the deal was good. I was told you need to ask for service loaners, as they are limited, but available. The Staff was very helpful, even though they were extremely busy during my purchase period. more

Performance BMW is the best!! 5/26/2011

I began having issues with issues with my 2006 3 Series BMW earlier this month where my car would not always start when I tried to turn it on. This happened three times within the last few weeks, so I decided it was time to have my BMW checked out. I wasn't sure if the problem was that my battery was dying, the starter was broken, or something else, so I took my BMW to Performance and asked them if they would be able to figure out what was going on with my car. They said that they would run tests on my vehicle and give me a call when they knew what the problem was. The service advisor quoted me on how much it would cost me to have tests ran on my BMW, which I agreed to. Later that day, I received a call from Performance saying that the problem was with my battery. They explained to me that my battery was not completely dead, but that it would need to be changed sometime in the near future. They asked if I wanted them to replace it while it was already there, which I agreed to do. When I got to the dealership, they had my car ready and washed, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they didn't charge me for the tests they had to run on my BMW like they had originally quoted! I am impressed with the great customer service Performance BMW provided me and I plan to go back there from now on for my BMW service and sales needs!! more
