got a popup with a virus software saying to install to remove an infection. I installed it and got worse so gave up to let a pro take care of it. the New york computer help gang took care of it in same day i brought it and was well-worth it. they even gave me some info on how to set up my wireless internet in a secure way. Pros: very fast, lots of updates Cons: somewhat tough to find the building more

Fixed my office server and saved my business!! 5/10/2010

My server was down which meant my whole company was down. The NYCH server tech came and found a corrupt Windows server file and fixed it within an hour. I really dreaded the worst...redoing the whole server...recovering files...ugh!! but, NYCH really saved my business here. Many thanks! Pros: Quick and professional more

Free diagnostics and done same day - need I say more? 4/27/2010

I wasn't sure if I should repair my 5-year old laptop so the free diagnostic was perfect here. Instead of fixing it, it was better to just back up files as recommended instead of further investing in this dieing piece of you know what. They backed up the files in the same day and even recommended what new laptops to purchase. Pros: diagnostics are free Cons: no parking more

Stellar office computer maintenance 4/17/2010

I've been using a tech support company for a year and wasn't happy - I felt like I had to call them non-stop of computer issues that weren't being fixed or continuous viruses popping up. So, I met with 5 other tech companies and this New York Computer Help felt like a fit right away and already 4 months since have been using their weekly computer maintenance service which has already saved me thousands in tech support since the last company. I haven't received any viruses due to their proactive protection and feel like my company is much more prodcutive for it. Pros: Reliable, honest, cost-effective Cons: wasn't sure they offered onsite support more

Pleasant computer repair drop-off service 4/4/2010

I've been to computer repair shops before, but never stuck to one due to the rude tech attitude. But, NYCH is a keeper! I brought my 4-year old laptop in. They gave a free diagnostic within 2 hours and told me my motherboard was bad and it makes more sense to buy a new laptop than replace it. I couldn't believe they were taking away business from themselves. What honesty! So, I decided to get a new computer and had them transfer the files over. It was so refreshing to have a computer repair place tell me the truth instead of just blindly fixing my equipment. Will definitely be back. Pros: Quick and honest Cons: not on ground level more

Quick new computer setup for home home. Very easy! 3/11/2010

I had my new Dell desktop arrive at my home, and although I thought it would be an easy setup, I didn't have the foggyest in transfering over my files and setting up my Outlook. So, I called the NYHelp company and they had a very nice gentleman named Lawrence come out to my apartment and set up my new computer with everything transferred and set up. He also gave me a tutorial on my new Windows 7 and quick shortcuts to make my life easier. Forever grateful! Pros: Easy process. Same day response! Cons: Wish I heard of them sooner more
