Great NYC laptop repair place 10/21/2010

My laptop could not get on the internet at home. So, I brought it to New York Computer Help. I expected there to be a problem with my laptop, but instead they said the Internet is working perfectly fine and said the Internet issue must be on my end with TimeWarner. I was surprised to not be charged anything at all. They even welcomed me to call them while at home to help me through the rebooting of my router and mode. I called them, and they had the patience to walk me through the steps and I was up and running again. I am thrilled they not only helped, but was did so without charging me anything. I will definitely go back in the future and recommend them highly. more

My laptop could not get on the internet at home. So, I brought it to New York Computer Help. Reasonable and honest laptop computer repair 10/20/2010

I brought in my laptop to New York Computer Help for computer repair, and was very, very happy. My laptop was slow. I thought it was a virus. They diagnosed it for free, and told me my hard drive was failing. They fixed it, recovered my files, and had it ready in the same day. They also gave tips on how to do online file backups and keep the laptop battery lasting as long as possible. I love getting free tips like this and especially not waiting long for a computer issue. These guys are the best! more

I brought in my laptop to New York Computer Help for computer repair, and was very, very happy. My laptop was slow. I thought it was a virus. They diagnosed it for free, and told me my hard drive was failing. They fixed it, recovered my files, and had it ready in the same day. They also gave tips on how to do online file backups and keep the laptop battery lasting as long as possible. I love getting free tips like this and especially not waiting long for a computer issue. These guys are the best! more

Very professional computer service for my business 10/20/2010

As a small business owner, I try not to call outside help if I don't have to. This includes if we need computer service for our PCs and server. However, our in-house staff guy who doubles as a tech support guy when needed was stumped on our email issue. We couldn't send out emails for some reason and we couldn't waste time troubleshooting any more. I called in New York Computer Help - they found us to be on some blacklists with our email. They were able to remove viruses and ensure our email server and security was up to snuff going forward. We are able to email with no problems now and we're having them come in periodically for maintenance to prevent any possible future computer issues. Although I'm penny-wise, I feel like, in the end, New York Computer Help will save me lots of money and business in the long-run by lending their professionalism and expertise by giving my company periodic onsite computer support. Their computer technician who came out was the ultimate professional so I'm shouting high praises for them so others can enjoy their computer repair service. more

Fast and very affordable virus removal 7/26/2010

I needed to get rid of these irritating popups. They kept redirecting me to virus removal websites. So annoying! I also couldn't open my programs which is definitely a problem! I was able to drop off my laptop with New York Computer Help and they got rid of my popups and viruses in the same day. And much cheaper than I expected. I'll be back when doom strikes again. Pros: Quick and cheap - the way I like it :) more

Best New York Computer Repair Place - no joke! 7/12/2010

Why do I say this is the best NY computer repair place. Their blatant honesty. I came into their shop with an Macbook Air that had what I thought was a hard drive problem. They diagnosed it and said the hard drive is fine and can recover it. They followed up this diagnostic by suggesting that it is probably still under warranty, and to go to the Apple Store to use my AppleCare warranty to fix the logic board. What I still can't believe is they skipped a sale and making money off of me for the benefit of saving me the expense. They could have told me I needed data recovery and I would have listened by paying whatever amount requested. Instead, they were honest and told me to save my dough and just get the warranty repair. I'm pleasantly shocked and can say they have seriously set the bar for other computer repair shops. Pros: Can't say enough praise! Cons: Hard to find one more

Fixed my home mac quickly! 7/1/2010

My Mac had the dreaded spinning wheel. I am a freelance photographer so I thought all my pictures were gone which would have been really, really bad. The New York Computer Help mac tech quickly fixed the startup issue. He also showed me how to check that my Time Machine backups are working fine. Definitely indebted to them for life! Cheapest data recovery place I've found. 6/10/2010

My netbook crashed. And unfortunately it had all my pics from my recent 3-week Africa safari trip! Ugh! I brought it to these guys frantic, and they were able to take their time with me and calm me down. And better yet, they recovered all my files including my Africa pics! Yay! And the price was much cheaper than the 3 other companies I checked out. I'm a fan for life! Pros: Cheap and recovered my pictures Cons: Shop is a bit underwhelming..but it's a tech place after all more
