I will not recommend this company to anyone. 8/10/2010

We were not pleased with our moving experience. Our furniture, we were told, was to be bubble wrapped which wasn't done. We have dings and scratches in some of our furniture. The gentlemen moving us were very nice, however, their main concern was moving us as quickly as possible. We finally had to ask them to stop so we could figure out where we needed things to go. Things we would have moved ourselves they took and things we needed them to move stayed for us to move. We also felt very obligated to give them a tip, which we did. Their main objective was to pack and go as quickly as possible which made a very difficult move for us. I will not recommend your company. RESPONSE FROM Mad City Moving Services, LLC: We do not say that we bubble wrap the furniture. We tell all customers that we shrink wrap the furniture which was done. All our paperwork clearly indicates what services we do, and states that we shrink wrap and blanket protect the furniture. I am no aware of any company that bubble wraps furniture. This is the first time that I have had a customer complain on a crew that was moving too fast, in turn saving the customer money and did not have any damage. The men try to move at a steady pace, to be efficient as possible. Our policy is to do a walk before the move begins to indicate what items go, and before we leave to deliver to make sure that we have loaded all the items desired. more

Great job 8/10/2010

The movers were careful, quick and considerate 8/10/2010

Upon reviewing the contents of the storage facility they moved my office to I am missing the top to one of my glass tables. I am not sure where they put it. If you can ask the two guys that would be very helpful. more

Mad city moving showed up early and ready to go. They were very professional and efficient. more

Cost was higher then expected 8/10/2010

We were charged more driving time then I thought was reasonable. This added quite a bit to the cost of a small 1/2 day move. They were also late to our job by 1 hour. more

Excellent 8/10/2010

Your guys were awesome. One even hurt himself and managed to work through it. We will be moving again within the next couple of months and will definitely be using you guys again. Thanks, Bruce more

excellent 8/10/2010

quick fast and efficent. they did not complain about anything..would use again. more

Very hard working, but poor communication from front office to employees. 8/10/2010

The movers were very good and professional. The down side of this move was that I contacted the office a few days before the move with a problem. I was not going to be able to get items moved myself as planned, so I needed them to pack and move the complete house. The men were not notified of this and did not have a large enough truck nor the packing items needed to move the complete house. They were very understanding and apologized. They did all they could to get as many items as possible but in the end many items were left behind for me to move at a later date. more

Great Company 8/9/2010

I was really impressed with the actual movers, they really hustled and were careful with our stuff. The price we paid was pretty close to the estimate. Overall great experience and was definitely well worth the cost. more

Horrible experience 8/9/2010

The movers arrived with an incorrect address so I had to show them a map of where to go and then have them follow me to my new place. Not only did this take extra time and cost me extra money, but they were also extremely slow moving. It took them 3 hours to move a bed, desk, tv stand, and two couches to my new house only 15 mins away!! RESPONSE FROM Mad City Moving Services, LLC: All of our crews are sent with maps and directions based on the address that our customer provides to us. If the men did not have the correct address, it was due to us not being told an address or us given the incorrect address. We have no other way to obtain the address unless it is from the customer. more

Most Awesome Moving Experience EVER! 8/9/2010

I was very impressed with the service I received from Mad City Moving. From the first contact and conversation I had with Roger Kleven to the actual move done by Lawrence Hoge and DeJuan Reynolds, it was a first-class service all the way! Lawrence and DeJuan were very professional, capable, quick, experienced, careful, friendly, and respectful. Mad City Moving can be proud to have them on their team and representing their company. I have already mentioned to family and friends the great experience I had and will continue to do so in the future if Iâ??m ever asked my opinion on movers/moving service. Mad City Moving made what could have been a stressful experience a breeze! more

They rocked! 8/8/2010

The company did not come out to assess our moving needs. They sent 2 men and 1 truck. They had estimated the move would take 4-6 hours and cost about $600-$700. It turned out that the movers were not able to get all of our things on the truck. The company underestimated time and expense and caused us a lot of extra stress, hassle, money and time. The move took 9 hours instead of 6. It cost me over $900. Plus, I had to hire free-lance movers to come back the following day to get the rest of our stuff which cost me another $200. I do recommend Mad City Movers, but I recommend that you insist that they send someone out to evaluate your stuff so that you get an accurate estimate and avoid having to pay a lot extra. The men who did the actual work were courteous and attentive, they communicated well with us about various issues, they worked constantly - in the heat - and did a great job. more

The two men you sent were excellent and made our move easy. 8/8/2010

they had large, heavy pieces to move and did so very well without any problems. more
