hard workers, but rough on furniture 5/2/2010

The crew were hard-working and accommodating. However, they had to be watched closely, as they tended to be rough on the furniture. I caught one man trying to carry an antique desk down the stairs single-handed, without taking out or securing the drawers. After the move, the plastic corner fenders on my box spring were broken, and several other pieces had been nicked. When I reported this to the company, they were unsympathetic. Considering the damage, I would probably have been better off with one of the major moving companies, despite the cost difference. more

Three time customer. 5/1/2010

We've used Mad City Movers for three local moves. We hired them to unload our rental truck when we first moved to the area, then again to move our larger items into a new rental and finally our own house. The office staff is very helpful and attentive. The movers are polite, hard-working, professional, and handled our items with care. Mad City's prices were the best we found and the flexibility allowed us to move with a very reasonable budget. more

This is the second time we used Mad City movers. 1st move from Chicago to Madison, 2nd move Milwaukee to Madison. Both times service was excellent. Movers were on time, friendly, detailed and organized. Both times nothing was broken. Movers did what was asked without any problems. more

The only issue I had was that I was told the estimate to be about $325 and had budget of $500, it ended up costing $575. It felt like the movers slowed down at the end, but they were moving up and down stairs and took turns. I felt bad because I was planning on giving them each a tip but didn't have the money at that point. It took 6 hours which seemed like a lot of time for what I had. I have wanted to send a tip, would that still be possible, when I get paid next? more

During the move, there were some minor paint scratches. I was asked to send in an email describing the damage. A person from the moving company came over and fixed it in a couple days. No problems at all. I'd certainly recommend them. more

Greatest Moving Service in Town 7/16/2005

This is one of the great moving services in town. They offer 1 truck and 2 mens to help you with your moving. They have the best hourly fee in town. They help you calculate how long it takes to move your stuffs based on how many things you have to move and schedule your moving. Their truck always come on time and their mens do a quick jobs so you don't have to pay a lot of money. I recommend this service for your moving!! more
