The company did not come out to assess our moving needs. They sent 2 men and 1 truck. They had estimated the move would take 4-6 hours and cost about $600-$700.
It turned out that the movers were not able to get all of our things on the truck. The company underestimated time and expense and caused us a lot of extra stress, hassle, money and time. The move took 9 hours instead of 6. It cost me over $900. Plus, I had to hire free-lance movers to come back the following day to get the rest of our stuff which cost me another $200. I do recommend Mad City Movers, but I recommend that you insist that they send someone out to evaluate your stuff so that you get an accurate estimate and avoid having to pay a lot extra. The men who did the actual work were courteous and attentive, they communicated well with us about various issues, they worked constantly - in the heat - and did a great job.
