MCM have only professional quality workers. They are most concerned about my "things" not just how to get them into the truck. The most amazing thing is how they seem to never stop working, they just keep going and going. This of course gets the work done faster and relates to a more cost value to the moving cost. more

Mad City was prompt in picking up and delivering a sleeper sofa to a woman in need of one in Sun Prairie. I liked that they put shrink wrap around it so it wouldn't get soiled. Also the cost was reasonable. more

Mad City Moving did an excellent job with my move. From the initial quote to the day of the move their representatives were always on time and ready to get to work. Moving day could not have gone smoother. They took great care of my furniture by wrapping each item before it went on the truck. They also went to great lengths to protect the house I was moving out of and the house I was moving into by putting protective runners across any area they had to walk. The movers were very professional and worked very efficiently. They actually completed the job 30 minutes under the quoted time and price saving me a few extra bucks. Again, I could not have been happier with my move experience and would definitely use Mad City Moving again for any move. more

They showed up timely and worked fast! I was nervous I didn't order a big enough moving truck, but they managed to fit everything. That was the best packing job I've ever seen! They had every bit of space accounted for and nothing was broken when I got to my destination. If I still lived in Madison, I would definitely use them again! more

The move went fine. I felt that the movers could have been more professional with how they managed themselves. Because of a personal health issue I had to pay the price for slow moving- with no apology. On the other hand, the men were very delicate and careful with my belongings- the most important quality of movers in my opinion. more

The Mad City team were great to work with. The two men who came were VERY efficient and cleared out my one bedroom, second floor apartment in one hour flat. They were very careful and everything arrived A-OK. They did arrive about 45 minutes late, which was a little worrisome, but they ended up finishing under budget and everything worked out well. Customer service was also very good and Brenda was able to accommodate an extra pick-up at a furniture store day before. I would recommend them without hesitation. more

The days leading up to this move were so stressful, but from the moment the movers arrived, it was as if a great weight was lifted off my shoulders. They introduced themselves to me and my family and then took a look around at what approach was needed for this particular move. They came well prepared and were so fast and efficient. It made a world of difference, because I truly felt confident that they would take care of things. And they did! more

We found the service from Mad City Moving to be average or below average for two major reasons. First,a person from MCM came to our house and looked in every room and asked detailed questions about what would be moved, to which we gave detailed answers. And yet, when the crew showed up they acted shocked as to how much stuff we had and commented on it numerous times. And, in the end, the truck was not big enough for all our stuff. Whose fault was that - MCM. They came, saw how much stuff we had, and based the estimate on that, which was CLEARLY wrong. Second, the crew constantly dropped not so subtle hints the entire time about being tipped. Over and over they found ways to interject stories about other moves or comments that indicated they expected to be tipped at the end. I have no problem tipping, but give me a break. A tip is supposed to be a bonus for a job well done, and not expected by a crew and constantly hinted at. Obnoxious. We likely would not use MCM again. RESPONSE FROM Mad City Moving Services, LLC: I looked up the specific move, and the move was estimated at 8 hours and our men finished the job in 5.5 hours. Considerably under the estimate, which in turned saved the customer over $200. The largest truck that we have a 28ft straight truck was used. It takes on average 4-5 hours to load this size truck, so with the total move time being 5.5 hours, it does not make sense that the truck was not big enough. As for the tip issue, it is not acceptable for the employees to drop hints for tips. It is against our policy and will be addressed. more

Our two movers were very nice and did a great job of packing everything into our trailer. Since we were being charged by the foot, they were able to get all of our stuff in such that we paid less than our estimate. However, our mattress and box spring did get dirty, so it would have been nice if they could have shrink-wrapped both of those items (although maybe it wasn't something included in the service). Also, when it came time to unpack the trailer, some items shifted, which made it more difficult to remove the bulkhead without items falling down. Even with that, the movers were great, and the overall experience was very good. more
