I read a lot of good reviews on Katie so i decided to give her a try. the receptionist switched me over to the manager? i believe since i was a new client and told me that i would love katie. She was very nice and helpful so i was really excited and pretty confident that i would get an amazing cut. Katie was nice, but she gave me the worst hair cut Ive ever gotten in my life. The front and the sides i can deal with, its not that bad. but the back is just horrible. The layers are so uneven and so incredibly poorly done. I seriously think i could have layered my hair better. Its really hideous and even my boyfriend said it looked totally off. i was really disappointed and I wanted to go back to get it fixed, but frankly I didn't want her to touch my hair again and I def was not willing to pay another 65+tip when she messed up my hair. My hair looks like a mop in the back, Its really disheartening whenever i look in the mirror. All I can do now is wait for it to grow so I can get it fixed up nicely at the last salon I went to in beverly hills. more

KATIE is the most amazing stylist. Ive been going to her for about 4 years now and I will never go to anyone else!! I am a tricky customer too.. always changing my mind about hair color and cut. Every time I am so pleased with how it turns out, I get compliments on it constantly. Katie has a wide range when it comes to styling. What i mean by this is she can do something very natural and simple to something fun and funky. She always gives me great advice on how to style my hair and what products would work best for me, never pressuring me to buy. KATIE IS AMAZING. She is never snobby or rushed and she truely takes the time to listen and care. I have sent many of my friends there to see her after they kept complimenting the many styles I have gotten. They all adore her and are full time customers now as well. Get in now before Katie gets too busy to see anyone! She is amazing. I cant say enough... I HAVE NEVER HAD A BETTER EXPERIENCE AT A DAY SPA. THIS IS A VERY RELAXING COMFORTABLE SPA. KATIE DID WONDERS WITH MY HAIR, I WOULD RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE FOR ALL HAIR TYPES ESPECIALLY COLORING. I recently moved to Los Angeles, and after I met Liana, my search for a quality haircut was over. She does quality work with awesome personal service. Not only does she give you a great cut, but she's great to talk to. Liana, and the entire staff at M2, are always incredibly friendly, and their prices are really reasonable too, especially by L.A. standards. "I'm a total SPA girl" and since I travel for work I 'm always trying new Spas and treatments. After getting a treatment with Pamela, I will be looking forward in coming to LA more often now because it was the best facial treatment I have ever had. She is very well educated in her craft, she is genteel with extractions and has great massaging skills and most importantly I felt her care, for her I was not just another appointment. It's been two weeks since my facial and my face still feels clean and soft. I already have made my next appointment. Can't wait!!! I came in with horribly damaged, over-processed hair, and Katie worked a miracle! She gave me a great cut and gorgeous color, and she really listened to all my concerns and questions. So it was my first time at m2 and i found the salon on city search i was a little hesentant to try a salon i found on the internet. But i am so glad because know i found where i belong. i got the best color and cut form KATIE my hair was really thrashed and looked so damaged but she recommended some products that i felt a difference with one treatment. She is so amazing she took her time with me suggested some great styles that would look good on my face and i love it i have never been so happy. i cant wait to go in 3 weeks to get my color re touched. the salon had just a great atmosphere that i almost just want to go and hang out on a regular basis. thanks again Katie your awsome see you soon!!!! I have had my hair cut and colored at M2 salon by Katie a few times now and I love it every time. I get so many complements on it and even when it starts to grow out, it still looks great, they do exactly what you ask for and will give their opinion if you ask for it. I highly recommend this salon I live two hours away but it is definitely worth the drive. Friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff, cute salon, great products, what else can you ask for in a salon! I don't generally give places glowing reviews, and am cautious before recommending a place. I had my first haircut from Vanessa back in January, and it was quite honestly the best haircut I've ever had. I was tempted to post a review back then, but I decided to wait until I'd had my second haircut from her, to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Well, I went back to her yesterday, and I'm convinced - she's definitely the best hairdresser I've ever been to. That's not an easy title to win, either - I've been to some very highly regarded salons. When I lived in San Diego I frequented both Salon David Perez (and David was my hairstylist) and Salon Tonic; when I lived in Berkeley I went to Peter Thomas Hair Design and G-Squared (in San Francisco). I have very fine, wavy hair - not the cute perfectly wavy hair you see on actresses - the unruly better blow-dry it straight or it'll look crazy wavy hair. Or so I thought. When I first met with Vanessa I told her I'd love to wear my hair down and wavy (or even a little curly), but that I hate spending time on my hair. The 5 minutes I spend blow-drying my hair straight is more prep time than I'd like, and when I don't feel like doing that my hair winds up in a ponytail. I didn't just want to be able to wear it wavy/curly, though, I also told her I'd like to be able to blow-dry it straight sometimes too, and still have it look great. So, to recap, I want my hair to look perfect wavy or straight, and to spend no more than 5 minutes on it. Amazingly enough, that's exactly what I got. My new hair routine is: shower, put on curl creme, scrunch my hair up with my hands, let it air dry, get PERFECT actress-like waves/curls. It takes me all of about 1 minute prep time, and my hair has never looked this good. It's incredible how many complements I get on my hair now, and how often I hear "I want your hair!" - especially after they hear how easy it is to style. I had my hair cut & colored. The color was great, but I was very unhappy with the cut. I called the salon, & the owners, Valerie and Deborah, were very anxious to make me happy & have it corrected. They set my 2nd appointment with Beau. He was unbelievable! Spent over an hour "educating" me about highlights, possible risks with my hair, hair care. (Late on a Saturday, what a sweetie.) Even though I felt there wasn't much hair left to work with, he did an amazing!!! job w/the cut Totally turned my attitude around about the salon. The haircut was very flattering to my face, worked well with the natural wave of my hair, rather than fighting against it. It's easy for me to maintain, which is important with my lifestyle (swim laps) & busy schedule. (And unskilled me with a blowdryer.) I am incredibly happy with it, & my boyfriend loves it! This was my first try with highlights. I have very damaged hair, so Beau did a number of interesting tests on my hair to make sure it was strong enough to handle the treatment. I really appreciated his careful, cautious approach. He made the whole experience fun. I came into the salon with a very negative attitude, & he completely turned that around. Don't let the cute baby face fool you - Beau is clearly very experienced, really knows what he's doing. He takes the time to talk to the client, find out what they want, but isn't afraid to give great suggestions. I highly, strongly, wholeheartedly recommend Beau, as well as the salon. If there is a match with a stylist that doesn't work well, the owners will make sure you're satisfied. (There was no charge for the second haircut.) Everyone is friendly. The atmosphere is very comfortable. There's a good assortment of products, but there was no high pressured sales tactics from either of the two stylists I worked with. Just friendly suggestions. Katie has been helping me with my hair, and she is amazing. She really knows how to put her guests at ease. My hair was a disaster when I first walked into the salon, and after only a few weeks, she has made me feel much better! She rocks, and everyone is awsome! My appointment was late on a Saturday night, and Pam still managed to be cheerful and bright! She did an excellent job with my eyebrows. That is not easy, as I have very thin eyebrows, and they're hard to style well. She managed to do it beautifully! Thanks Pam. I'll definitely try her facials and other services. The salon was very cute, everyone was friendly; nothing snobby here. My hair appointment was switched from one stylist to another late in the game, so I wasn't thrilled about that. more

As indecisive as I am, I chose to go to M2 because it had such good reviews, despite the fact that im from LA and Burbank is a significant trip. I got a color and cut with Katie, and I have no regrets. I went back 6 months later, and again, I was happy with the work. They were really understanding to my schedule and even let me make a last minute appt, which was totally amazing. I really feel valued as a customer at M2. Katie is knowledgable, easygoing, and understandable. She helped me choose a color because, well, I couldn't decide. She was sensitive to my needs and I came out pleased. She really tries to establish a relationship with you. Plus, she has a 100% guarantee so I know things will turn out ok no matter what. M2 Salon has a great aura and I'll be sure to go again. I just go my hair done by Liana. I wasn't sure what to expect because it was my first time at the salon. I had highlights in my hair, but wanted to go dark. Liana helped me pick a color - dark black. I LOVE IT! My hubby loves it. The conditioning treatment was incredible. My hair is shiny, healthy...and she kept it long! I am sooooooo happy. You have a loyal customer. Thanks Liana! more

I have to say that all the reviews on citysearch convinced me to try this salon..... I'll never make a decision like that again! I had my hair cut and colored here and in all honesty, I am not at all happy with the cut or color (the stylist I believe did her best so I do not want to say her name however she was VERY undertrained). I must also mention that I was not the only displeased customer at the salon on this day! The staff was generally nice and the salon is cute however the was a lack of professionalism in general (the staff gossiped loudly while my hair processed). Pam is really great! I have seen her twice now, and both times have been completely satisfied. I see her for brow waxing. When I first went in my brows were a mess from me plucking them. She took her time with my brows and told me everything I should and should not be doing to them. She did such an amazing job! My eyebrows did not start growing back until about one month later, and they were both perfectly even. It was the best brow job I have ever had done!! I found M2 here on citysearch because i'm new to the area. I had been wanting to change my hair from very highlighted blonde to a dark brown. I finally got up the courage to go and i'm so glad i did! Katie was extremely patient with me making sure that i was completely ready for the this drastic change. I feel like when you usually go to get your hair done stylists often push you into doing something more drastic or don't prepare you for what a huge shock changing your hair can be, and with Katie this was totally not the case. She was completely honest about everything and what she thought would look good on me and what wouldn't. She is awesome! But, besides just katie, every person i saw walk out of that salon looked amazing so i can't imagine you could go wrong with anyone.
