I had Katie cut my hair about two weeks ago and she did an AMAZING job! She was really attentive to what I wanted and took great care to give me the exact cut and color that I asked for. I dont think I've ever been this happy with a cut and color! The staff at M2 is also very friendly. I would definately recommend this salon, and I'll surely be back for my next cut and color! I had been looking for a salon where I could feel comfortabel, I had tried several in the LA area that just didn't have what it took to keep me going back. I wanted a place that was nice but not pretentious, and I found it, M2 is perfect! Debra is amazing, she really knows what she's doing! I have actually seen Beau Hale a couple of times, but i wanted to let everyone know that he is an amazing stylist and great guy. I have never had a guy stylist i guess because i thought that it would be weird or something but a g-friend recommended me to him nd i'm so glad i went. M2 Salon is the greatest salon and better than any other in the area that i have been too! Beau really listened to me and i felt A LOT of passion coming from his work. To tell u the truth, having a guy stylist is great cuz he knows what looks hot and what doesn't on ladies. NE wayz, everyone should check him out! Pros: Friendly, nice, passionate place more

To say that I'm nervous when it comes to getting my hair cut is a serious understatement ... since moving here from NY, I've experienced some absolute disasters ... but this definitely was NOT the case with M2. Not only was the salon accommodating with a late, last minute appointment, but I was lucky enough to be taken care of by Katie. She listened to my needs and concerns, put me at ease, and gave me a phenomenal, easy-care cut and highlights to die for! I've already had people asking me where I got my hair styled. My wife went to this new guy hairstylist about a month ago and raved about her new cut. She said the guy gave her such good service and told her how she could improve her style w/out paying rediculous prices. He told her EVERYTHING about her hair like he was a doctor and did this amazing style so she's all dedicated to him now. then she said that he's been doing mens cut's for longer than women's and that i should see him. I'm a typical guy about my hair but he made me realize the differance between a cheap cut and a good cut w/out having to go to Beverly Hills. It's hard for a guy to care about his hair because it seems like no one can really do it or something. But Beau @ M2 was amazing! i totally love that i can like my hair style now. Thanks Beau! more

I met Beau @ M2 Studio and he was sooooo good and a really cool guy. I prefer a guy stylist over female, but limiting myself to gender can be risky. Good guy stylist can tend to be full of themselves too:( And Beau started in Beverly Hills, so when he told me that i thought he would be one of those. But he totally wasn't. Has the skills but not the attitude. NO one has EVER been able to get much volume out of my hair or body cuz it's so fine but Beau did it! I am soooooo happy i found him! I have gone to Katie for both a haircut and a partial weave. What impressed me first was that she took the time to really listen to what I wanted done with my hair, and then she followed through by giving me a great haircut and styling. She patiently showed me some great blowdrying techniques with the round brush, and also how to get my look to stay put. When I came in for my color a month later, she found out that the salon had double booked her. To compensate for having to make me wait a few extra minutes, she gave me a complementary glaze. When she was done with my color, I couldn't believe how shiny and beautiful my hair looked! Katie is a professional, friendly stylist, and M2 is lucky to have her on staff. Thanks, Katie! more

I USE TO GET MY HAIR CUT WITH A STYLIST WHO NO LONGER WORKS AT M2 FOR OVER A YEAR NOW, UNFORTUNATELY I LOST HER PHONE NUMBER, SO I DECIDE TO GO BACK AND TRY M2 AGAIN AND TRY A NEW STYLIST.SO I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AND THEY BOOKED ME WITH "BO"?. IT TOOK HIM TWO HOURS JUST TO CUT MY HAIR. I WAS VERY UPSET ESPECIALLY SINCE I WAS ON MY LUNCH BREAK!! ALL THE GIRLS THERE KEPT TELLING ME HOW GOOD MY HAIR LOOKED" BLA-BLA-BLA".AFTER I GOT HOME AND LOOKED AT MY HAIR I COULD HONESTLY SAY IT WASN'T WORTH A TWO HOUR MAN HAIR CUT. , HE IS A NICE GUY, BUT I JUST DON'T THINK SITTING THERE FOR TWO HOURS AND HEARING HIM TALK ABOUT HE'S SKATING AND WATCHING HIM COMPLETELY STOP WORKING TO JUST SIT THERE AND LOOK AT ME AND CONTINUE TO TALK TO ME , WHILE HE SHOULD OF BEEN CUTTING MY HAIR. I used to go to Fred Segal Beauty but M2 is much better and substantially cheaper. Debra is a master at making my hair look fantastic. The sunny hilights she adds to my hair are beautiful. Ive gone to top salons all over the country like Mario Russo in Boston and Corbin in Baltimore but found M2 to be unparalelled in its styling and color. Everyone that works there is very friendly and down to earth. more

I'm very skeptic about trying new salons. But my friend highly recommended M2, so I had to give it a shot. I love my hair cut and I received so many compliments. Vanessa cut my hair and she is simply amazing. I have curly hair and I'm scared people don't know how to handle it. But Vanessa gave me a beautiful cut and after it was straightened, who would have guessed that I have curly hair. I love the salon and the staff was very friendly. I can't wait to go back! I found this salon on citysearch and saw all the great reviews so I decided to set up a consultation for hair extensions. I met with Debra and her assistant who were so kind and friendly, the place is so nice in decor and they all made me feel right at home. Debra did my highlights and color which look amazing. I ordered my hair extensions and can't wait to get them put in for my February wedding!! All in all this salon has great people who are sweet and helpful and know how to do hair!! Thankyou all so much and see you soon! I got my beautiful extensions in february right before my wedding and they look incredible. Everyone thought it was my real hair because it looks so natural and the blonde color is perfect. My Hawaii wedding was a dream come true and I had the mermaid golden locks to go with it. I found M2 Studio online and thought I would give it a try because I was in need of a wax service. I was told over the phone that Pamela would do the service but I was not sure what to expect. Pamela warmly greeted me and took me to a quiet area to do my wax. Like a real pro she was done within 15 minutes. To top it all off, I ended up paying less than expected (thats always nice!) and I was very pleased with the outcome. Pros: Nice ambiance and friendly service Cons: Parking more

I always go to Pamela for my facials. She does an absolutely magnificent job as a beautician. After her facials, my face feels so clean and looks so great--that I even get compliments. She knows what she is doing and that always gives a customer satisfaction. I totally recommend her to anyone who is looking for a facial specilist. Besides her extraordinary service, she's also very friendly, which makes the service beyond good. I've never had the opportunity to have another service besides facial done at the salon, but I can say that the salon has a beautiful and relaxing decor. Pros: EXTREMELY FRIENDLY more

I just went to this salon today. I love my haircut. I got my cut done by Katie since she seemed so highly recommended in the reviews. She was wonderful exactly what everyone described and more. She gave me exactly what I wanted. Heard about the salon through city search. Couldn't believe that it was rated 10 out of 10. I decided to try it out. Absolutely no regrets!! The service was great. Everyone was really friendly. I got my hair trimed with layers and bangs. The bangs were a big change for me. But Katie is an absolute perfectionist. She wouldn't let me leave until she was happy with the way my bangs looked. I love my cut and I got so many compliments as well. I've searched high and low for the perfect stylist. Since moving from San Diego and Orange County, I thought it was time to stop making the trip to SD for my hair needs and start looking in LA. It's been a long journey but I finally found the person I'll be staying with for awhile. Katie is EXCELLENT. She actually gave me a through consultation (the kind you read about in books and magazines but NEVER really happen in real life), listened to my needs and then gave me her opinion. Being Asian, I love how she listened to my request of "natural" hair coloring (not the usual red or purple highlights other colorists suggest) and convinced me to glaze my hair (since she actually liked its O.G. color). She gave me a really great cut (well-worth the money asked for). My hair looks fabulous AND healthy. I LOVE IT. I can't say enough how much I love it. I actually convinced my husband to have a haircut and even though its a little bit more expensive than his usual Fantastic Sam's budget, he can't believe the wonders they did to my hair. That's why he wants to try it out. One drawback-the parking...non-existent but I'm still going. Even if I have to go around and around and wait for a free space on the side of the road! it's a great salon. the people are really friendly and the decor is very rustic and relaxing. they have a great waxer named pamela. she is so friendly and makes you feel comfortable right away. Pros: fun people, quality service Cons: no parking more

"I want to make out with your hair," was my headshot photographer's reaction to my new hair cut. Deb's been doing my hair for a little over a year; I've never had a complaint. This most recent "do" is pretty much the sweetest one ever. After a wonderful hair washing/head massage from her amazing assistant, I asked Deb to "make me look pretty." She did that and more, free-styling with her beloved razor and expertly bleaching the tips with nothing more than a glove. Anyone in L.A. who has yet to enjoy the M2 Studios experience is missing out BIG TIME. But please don't overbook her! I still need my Deb/Val/Katie/Mayella fix! Also worth mentioning is the new(ish) massage therapist and, from what I hear, awesome (straight!!!) male hair dresser Beau. He's gotta be good to work with Deb. Major kudos to all of you at M2 Studios. Pros: Comfortable atmosphere, great client care, awesome experience. Cons: Parking can be confusing. Valet service across the street at Acapulco though. more

Have you ever gone to a hair salon and walked out 100% satisfied? Have you ever had your stylist do exactly what you want without having to aruge? Katie was absolutely wonderful! I've only been in town for a few weeks and had no idea where to go for great service with reasonable pricing. M2 Salon came highly recomended. It was easy to get an appointment , the enviroment is so relaxed and you feel welcome. I'm only here for a few more weeks, still trying to figure out how to get Katie on a plane to the east coast with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

It's been years since I cut my hair. As always, it's stressful because you can't go back - at least for a while. I love that Katy helped me make the perfect decision for this big move. She knows Asian hair and how to cut it so it won't lay flat and I don't look like the poster child for Maruchuan noodles. I usually take photos in of what I love and what I hate and she helps me choose what will look best on my head and with my hair type. I love it...I think I may even dare to go shorter next time. I love my new cut and color. Katie did an awesome job. My hair was in need of a jump start and it looks and feels rejuvenated! Katie was very personable but not overbearing. She paid attention to what my concerns were and was honest with her recommendations. Being a blonde, it has been hard to find a stylist I really like and trust. I think my search is over! I will definitely be back. more
