M2 Studio Salon & Spa

I got the Brazilian Blowout at M2 Salon earlier this month (for those who have not heard of this it's a professional hair smoothing treatment). AMAZING is what I think about what it did for my hair... SMOOTH, STRAIGHT, and SHINY is how my hair looks now... 8 MINUTES is all it take to dry my hair (which used to take 25 minutes to dry and another 10 to straighten with a flat iron)... SOFT CURLS is what I get if I decide to just let my hair dry naturally... VERY HAPPY is how I feel about the experience and my dear friends at M2 salon - Debra is a POWERHOUSE! She is a seasoned professional who's work is best described as PERFECTION. She does not settle for anything but the best when it comes to the quality of products used and sold in her salon as well as keeping up with the latest and greatest in industry styles and innovative tools to do the job. When you leave the salon, you take with you a look that nothing less than fabulous! - Val is the other owner of M2 Salon who along with Debra runs a TOP NOTCH, BEST IN CLASS salon! Val makes everyone feel welcome and informs us of upcoming fun events hosted by the salon. She is a true professional and it's no wonder M2 stands out above the rest! She's also very active member of the community which is admired by all who know her. - Cassie works at the front desk and is very nice (You should have been there on Halloween to see her very creative Yellow Submarine costume - Passersby had to stop in to see what a great job she did making it!) - Katie, Liana and Melanie round out other stylists in the salon that do amazing work! And I can't forget Morgan who gives the best hair wash (makes you want to fall asleep it's so relaxing) and blow dry around! So... I found Deb & M2 by searching on City Search for a salon in the area when I moved to Burbank. M2 and Debra came highly recommended so I made an appointment. From my first trip to M2 I have been nothing but thrilled with my results. Deb knows exactly what I need to make my hair look fabulous! Everyone at the salon is always super friendly and make you feel like an old friend when you come in the door! If you need a fabulous new haircut or color, Deb @ M2 is the right call to make! I've honestly been a fan of M2 Studio since they opened years ago. Deb is the owner and my personal favorite! She has ALWAYS made me very happy with my hair! I like to change my hair often and it's always beautiful & stays healthy! The environment in the salon is always very welcoming and fun! The customer service is second to none, so therefore I will remain loyal forever! :) I recommend everyone go to M2 if you want to look fabulous! Jennifer is the best!! The only stylist I've ever had that matched the exact color I wanted and style!! I highly recommend her to everyone I know and have referred my family to her as well!! With my wedding just around the corner, I had no doubt about who I was going to to make my hair look amazing!!! The studio is also awesome! more

Alanna is THE one at M2 for color..just can't say enough; even though I was afraid to go to someone new (my former hairdress left the state) I wasn't disappointed. Alanna evaluated my color and style and after a brief consultation I decided to let her also cut my hair with her suggestions as to style to fit my face. FABULOUS ! more

I almost hate letting the secret out...I want to still be able to get an appointment! But the truth is when you find someone this great you are required to share the information. Alanna Kelly is IT when it comes to hair. I have been having my color done for more years than I can count and finding Alanna was the best gift I've ever given myself. I have red hair, well the truth be known brown, but I color it red which is the hardest of all colors to keep. She is magical and my color is beautiful. I receive compliments on it constantly. My hair was in terrible shape before I got to Alanna. She took what was left of my hair and turned it into a healthy, fabulous red with gorgeous highlights. The cut is perfect and fits with my face. Something she also considers before doing your hair...what is right for you as an individual. I'm here to tell you, she is the only stylist you will ever want or need. The salon is warm and comfortable. The entire atmosphere is like walking into a friend's home. Nothing stuffy going on here. Pam the facialists is fabulous! Always courteous and has kept my almost teen daughters skin looking great! I was skeptical at first and that was about 3 years ago. We had gone because my daughter was having little white bumps on her cheeks. Not pimples, just little white bumps. She explained that my daughters pores were so small that the oil that was created had no way to get out. She gave her a mini-facial (no hard chemicals or anything that would create an allergy) and within about 3 times of going once every 6 weeks they were gone! She also gave my daughter the speech of how important moisturizing and having one with sun screen. Now my daughter tells her friends NOT to use the over the counter "pimple" meds as they can create more pimples and try moisturizing first. WE LOVE YOU PAM! Pros: service Cons: parking more

As any woman living in Los Angeles I get slightly nervous about people touching my hair, especially because I am a brunette masquerading as a blonde. So when my long-time hair dresser moved I went into a slight panic-mode. OK, so I cried and threatened his life...details. I had heard about M2 from a friend and was more than a little tentative about trying out someone new. The moment I walked into the salon I felt at ease. I walked into a large reception area complete with magazines, hot coffee, and squishy couches. But maybe they were leading me into a false sense of security? Then I met Liana, who I must say is pretty fabulous. She not only improved(!) the color of my hair, but recommended products to help the overall health. So, if you go in buy the product "It's a 10" especially if you have dry or damaged hair like mine was. I heart my hair, and I heart M2 and Liana!! My only con was parking. They have the wash basins that don't hurt your neck, yea! Katie did some beautiful hightlights on me and when I said I wanted them carmel colored she pointed out that my hair had natural carmel colors that would not show the carmel and now I have beautiful highlights that some notice, ( really good friends) some do not, which is perfect because they look natural. She went with 2 colors one lighter, one a bit darker. She fixed a not so great former cut too, and did exactly what I asked for. joy! Alright so I am a pretty simple guy who recently moved to the LA area from DC. I was living in Burbank for a bit and needed a hair cut. I was very nervous to go to a new salon for a cut, but Beau made the experience AMAZING! Honestly, maybe the most friendly, energetic, and knowledgeable stylists I have worked with. He did a great job capturing just the right amount I wanted trimmed and found a perfect solution to a problem I was having with my hair. Beau you are truly talented and your honesty goes a long way when it comes to hair and what looks good. So people, lets just say that I will still commute to the valley from West Hollywood to get my hair cute by Beau :) GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH HIM!! more

so a friend told me about the use of this website! And I wanted to check out the places I go for services and damn. My salon is at the top! I have been seeing Beau for like 2yrs and even followed him from last salon cuz I really like how he does my hair and treats my as a client(he always says ur a client not customer, LOL) My husband was the first to go to him actually and my husband was never loyal to any stylist. Debra the owner did balayage on my hair. After I looked like a tiger... It was terrible. I had to pay $300 dollars somewhere else to get it fixed. She never checked on my hair while it was in the foils. When I finally asked about the different colors to my strands of hair she said it would add more definition to my hair when it was down... DONT THINK SO! Never again will I return... Oh did I mention that my hair cut was totally uneven? And its just weird how all the stylists at this particular salon don't stay very long.... After searching on ?Citysearch? I found M2 Salon and made an appt. with Katie. She mostly had great reviews and she immediately made me feel comfortable. I asked for her expertise in regards to a haircut with highlights that would look good on me and she definitely gave me the look I wanted. She?s awesome!! I went to M2 almost a week ago & had my hair colored by Katie. I loved my hair when I first left & I still love it a week later!!! I've recieved several compliments regarding the color & that it looks very healthy (we did a conditioning treatment as well). The staff was very fun & energetic! You can tell that they are one big family--because you feel very welcomed there! Katie was fantastic! Besides being very satisfied with my hair, she was fun to talk to--felt like an old friend. just wanted to thank beau. I was just telling a friend that I wanted to find a stylist that only cuts that's not $200 in BH. But someone who is still passionate. I swear i went to like 4 or 5 stylists in the area and they were a step up from beauty school. I like beau a lot and loved what he did. Last week I went in to M2 not 100% sure what I wantd done other than that I wanted a change to my hair and probably something in a red color. Katie was super patient and helped me pick a perfect and flattering hair color as well as took the time to give me advice about the cut. She was very good about respecting my wishes to keep as much of the length of my hair as possible (I've had a lot of stylists at other places just end up cutting it off without really talking through it!). Having mostly dyed my hair at home in the past it did seem a bit costly but they are very worth it and the results are quite impressive. First off i would just like to say that in regards to the review below me, i think the stylists at M2 are great! they are always kind and respectful. i have been going to M2 for awhile now i get my color done there and had an event to go to the other night, i called in and explained my situation to the receptionist and she set me up with Jenn. i went in and only had about 30 min til i had to be at my event and no joke i was in and out with a fabulous up-do in no joke about 10 min. i loved how fast she was and great it looked. I think Jenn is a wonderful addition to the staff. And will remain loyal to her!! THANKS JENN!! So I went here twice and the first time was blown away! Beau was VERY attentive and did the best job on my hair. Then went back maybe 6 months later and total change in personality. He was rude and messed up my layers. I couldn't believe it!!! I mean i tipped more then 20 % last time i was in there, and the only thing i could think of was that i didn't make an appointment within the 4-6 weeks that he had said to do the first time i came and looked it up. And he looked like he was ready to leave but hey i called and asked and he was available. Then he even told me that about 2-3 of the women in there will do a horrible job on another clients hair if that client is pretty. So girls that look good, avoid going to see one of the other sytlists! So with Beau I walked out of there with a bad hair cut and was extremely hurt, and still tipped him 20% too bad he only deserved 1% for his attitude. It's not Beverly hills buddy so don't think you can treat people like that or even expect them to come every 4-6 weeks, i don't know anyone that gets their hair done that often anyways unless you dye it, which i don't. So i will never step foot in to your facility ever again, and to think the following week i was planning on getting a facial! Too bad! Horrible place !!! Pros: none what so ever!
