M2 Studio Salon & Spa

I decided to go to Katie after reading all the great reviews on Citysearch. They sure weren't lying! She's awesome! My hair was flat and had no style before Katie worked her magic. I really liked that she listened to what I wanted (keeping length and making my face appear slimmer), worked with my round face shape and hair texture...giving me an amazing cut. The salon, might I add, is super cute too. I will definitely be back. Thanks Katie and M2! -Tammi more

My hair had been looking very dull and -- gulp -- gray. Katie took care of that in a jiffy. I'm loving my new 'do and got a ton of compliments at work yesterday. Everyone said it is looking much glossier and more healthy. Yay! more

I found M2 on citysearch and it got such good reviews that I decided to try it. Well, the reviews were right. I went to KATIE for my haircut and she was fabulous. Not only did she do a great job, but she actually listened to me. I didn't want my hair to be cut too short so she obliged. I also was contemplating getting it colored, but she was honest and told me that I should wait until my straightening grew out. I really liked her and can't wait to go back. By the way, I got tons of compliments on my hair. I also went to Patricia for waxing and she was great!! She was professional, fast and fun to chat with. I will go back for sure. more

I was searching and searching for a salon to get my hair done for my wedding and for me and all my bridesmaids...and I chose this place because of the reviews on Citysearch. My own stylist didn't do updos and I was desperate. This place was awesome- i did a trial run with them and then booked my entrie wedding party there-this was back in August. I have been meaning to do this review and just let everyone know that they did a fantastic job for us. They came in early, served champagne and strawberries to us and made the whole experience really really relaxing and fun. They are truly a great group and did an amazing job. I had Deb, one of the owners do my hair, and it was exactly like the picutre I brought in. She DID A PERFECT JOB and honestly my hair was flawless and I couldn't have been happier. From out of town. Looked up salons on citysearch(this was the highest remarked). Have short hair and have got it done in Manhattan, NY for like 5yrs by a good stylist that I liked. She gave me a short cut that I asked for and I loved it. Anyway moved out to LA recently and went to the cut specialist, Beau, at M2. WOW!!! I thought that my cut was so cute until Beau redid it and I feel like my old cute sucked even though I loved it. Had to tell people. One of those experiences. LOL. Thank you Beau! Perfection! Perfection! Perfection! Since Pamela styles everybody?s brows in my office, my brows too finely had the great pleasure in meeting her. Her Magic touch made my brows even and perfectly shaped. I went to see her during my lunch hour and when I came back to work nobody knew because my skin wasn?t even red. M2 is a great place. They really listen to you there and help you find the best cut, best color for what YOU want. Busy location - book early if you want to park on the street. If you want more than hair, you can get a mani/pedi-cure in the same place, even a massage. I took my daughter there for her to "beautify" for a quinciniera she was in. We had a great time! I just moved to Toluca Lake and was nervous about trying another salon. I read the reviews on here and some other sites about M2 and went over there to try it out. I had existing blond highlights in my hair and just needed a touch up. KATIE, the color specialist at the salon did a fantastic job on not only touching my roots up but adding a warmth to the color I didn't have before. She was so personable and lovely. I followed that up with this amazing express facial by PAMELA, who could not have been better to work with. She's such a master of her craft. I ended my day with a haircut from BEAU. I'm not going to lie. When I heard he was a stylist from Beverly Hills, I was a little apprehensive (We all know the diva horror stories of stylists in that 'hood). However, I could not have asked for a better experience than I got with him. Not only did he give me a great contoured haircut, but he also gave me some tips on strengthening the health of my hair. On top of that, he was just a really chill, personable guy. On top of all that, none of them pressured me to schedule my next appointment (which I will be scheduling anyway) or purchase the products in the salon (I feel like most salons I've been in are more concerned with pushing products than satisfying customers). I appreciated the whole experience and will definitely be heading back there in about 6 weeks. I recommend the m2 salon highly, even if you don't live in the valley. M2 is the ONLY salon I will go to -- for my nails AND my hair. Debra has been doing my hair for 10+ years (hard to believe...) and after moving away, I've had a few people color and cut my hair, but never as well as Deb. If you're looking for AMAZING color and cuts, look no further than Deb. Now that I'm finally back in L.A. for good, I have regular appointments with Debra and Joy. Joy is an amazing nail technician -- with YEARS of experience and it shows. She's always upbeat and I always look forward to going in for my every-two-week appointment (yes, I have a standing appointment with Joy... and have for almost 10 months now). When I first starting seeing Joy, I had acrylics from another nail tech (in another state) she had to match -- and they came out great. She's always willing to work with me, especially when I first started to get my nails done with her -- if I wanted my nails to be rounder, etc... She's always been extremely accommodating and my nails look FANTASTIC. My mom is also now a Joy convert -- after being with the same manicurist for years... Joy gave her the best manicure she's ever had. I reccomend BOTH Deb and Joy to everyone I meet. I get so many compliments on my hair and nails, and am never shy about telling them about M2. Hey guys!! I just wanted to tell you thank you for being awesome stylist. I am a natural redhead but I like to play with my own reds (and believe me, you can go really wrong if you don't know what you are doing). I was cheap one day and dyed my own hair, which turned to a disaster. Now all I wanted is to get it back to my own hue or at least close to it. Katie turned out to be a brilliant colorist, she prescribed me a shade that was a bit more brilliant than my own, but nicely faded into my own red. I haven't colored my hair 2 months, and you can't even tell the difference between my own roots and the dye job anymore :) Oh yeah, and last time I was there she talked me out of getting highlights (which I now dearly thank her for). She pretty much told me she knew I wouldnt do the upkeep...and she was right. So anyway, if she can fix a complicated redhead such as myself, I can only wonder what she can do with easier colors. I had driven by this salon a few times and was intrigued by the flavored signature nail treatments. When I finally had time to go in, I was highly disappointed. I don't remember my nail technician's name, but she had really long, fake nails that obviously gave her a hard time while doing the paying customer's nails. While the treatment was nice, the paint job was awful. After she did my toes I had to ask her to re-do half of the French manicure on my fingers. Even when she redid it they all looked misshapened and totally unprofessional. When you pay almost $100 to get your nails done, you expect it to look great. If I had wanted a crappy nail job I would have gone and paid $20 at Happy Nails. There were no reviews of the nail salon here so I just wanted to warn people that while their hair and skin departments might be great, you're better off avoiding the nail salon. A couple of weeks ago, I went to Katie at M2 Salon and Spa. I had seen some great reviews for her and the salon here at citysearch, but was honestly going more for convience of how close the salon is to my home...I'm so glad I did! Katie gave me a very flattering haircut that is so easy to manage, and she gave me some styling tips to help recreate her professionally styled look at home. The color was too the most natural looking blonde highlights I have ever had. I've waited a couple weeks to write this review to see how the color and cut grew in, and since then have gotten multiple compliments from other hairdressers in the business. I am definitely going back to Katie at M2 and would recommend her, and them, to any of my friends. more

After being pleased with my daughter's haircut, I made an appointment for myself. I knew I wanted less hair b/c my hair is very thick. Instead of cutting it short, however, Katie just thinned it out. It turned out well. I was very happy to have a hair stylist who was willing to make a recommendation on a style for myself. I love my skin, thank You Pamela. I have been suffering with really dehydrated skin and major congestion. My skin was very dull and sort of unhappy so I took my good friends advice and went in to see Pamela for a facial. I arived with make up on, covering my sad face and left glowing totally revitalized with a feeling of my face breathing again and to make things even better my sister who was with me at the spa getting a Pedicure said Wow!!!, You look so refreshed. Do you have make-up on? My skin looked so clean and glowed even after extractions it seamed that I had make-up on. I love my skin and I think that Pamela has fawned a client for life. I really enjoy going to M2 Studios. All the stylists are great but Katie has been doing my hair for over a year now and I always leave happy. She is very honest and lets me know what type of hair cut and color would be best for me. She has a wonderful personality and is a complete joy to be around. You can tell she really enjoys her job. I am experimental with my hair and she doesn?t let me leave until she knows I am completely satisfied with my new cut. For anyone looking for a GREAT stylist I highly recommend Katie. more

To make a long story short i am very fortunate to have met many great hairstylists in such comfortable environments but i didn't realize how lucky i was until i entered M2 Studio Salon located in Burbank, California. They gave me the worst service ever! they did not appreciate the fact that i was giving them business i asked for a certain technician and they refuse to give me that information in which resulted into a huge conflict because my hair turned out looking like Hurricane Katrina! if only they had paid attention and respected my wishes things could have turned out differently and the hair stylist that i had i think her name was Kat kept down talking her own co-workers which i thought was very unprofessional i am not sure if this business is going to last too long the air is just to thick. No one seems to invite happiness. I guess my advice to them is just to appreciate your surroundings and be thankful to people in general. since thats been said i will return to my regular stylist located in Hollywood where everyone gets along and holds a friendly atmosphere! P.S my hairstylist name is Jenna Smith the best hairstylist ever! more

I just came back from getting my hair cut and highlighted by Katie. :) This is truly my favorite stylist that I have ever been to. She is super friendly, super patient (and understanding), she gives her personal opinions and advice if you ask for it, and she works with a passion. I have been to other places where it's like pulling teeth just to get some help and opinions, but as soon as I asked Katie she gave me several ideas and recommendations. Go there and ask for her! All i can say is WOW to the comment below me because i just had my hair done with Katie for the first time and she is simply amazing i just got one of the best hair cuts ever, acutally no i GOT the best hair cut ever from her she gave me so much advice about my hair and what i should use product wise i love everything. all i can say is if you ever read this review Katie guarentees all her work she told me that and also my friend that recommend me to her that. she said if you are the slightest bit unhappy please come back and she will fix it herself and make it better. and she gives free fringe trims for the 29 years that i have been getting my hair done i have never had a stylist do that.
