Teagan is a great colorist! 8/30/2006

This salon offers a casual, relaxed atmosphere that really appealed to me. I had an appointment with Teagan, who had very strong (and correct!) opinions about my hair. I was thinking of going lighter, but I'm really glad I listened to her, because the rich, dark brown she gave me, with subtle red tones is a work of art! It's nice to have a stylist who isn't afraid of letting you know that she knows what she's doing. Can't wait to go back! Pros: Casual atmosphere, great colorist Cons: Cost! more

Best haircuts ever, awesome people 8/26/2006

Several months back my friend and I decided we needed to find a more permanent salon to go to, so I started researching on Citysearch and after reading the rave reviews decided to give M2 a try -- a fantastic decision on our part, because M2 Salon exceeded all expecations. Not only are the girls there wonderful, down to earth, and attentive, but I looked great when I walked out! Vanessa is truly a gem. I've had my hair cut there twice now by her, and both times I felt so stylish and so good. Both cuts got nothing but praise by everyone I know. It's not only fun to be there, but they work for everyone. You don't have to be a fashionista to feel like you belong, but hey, if you are, that's fine too. Just awesome.... more

Hair god!!!!!! 8/25/2006

I came to Tegan to see if she could fix my hair from the last job i got at another salon.Which mind you my hair was breaking off,Tegan saved me, she took care of my hair by giving me a conditioning treatment ,it was a process,but she saved me, my hair looks and feels amazing.She also gave me some great highlights and my hair cut ,WOW!!!! She is one of a kind, realy takes care of the hair and its cuticle!!!!! There is a god!! Thanks for looking out for me.People tell me all the time how wonderful my hair looks. Competent and Trustworthy 8/17/2006

As a female vanity becomes a big issue these days on our looks. I have been a frequent client of M2 Studios and Debra as my hairstylist for many years. It is with absolute relief that whenever I come in, I sit in a comfortable chair, am served coffee as soon as I'm situated, then I am ask what I would like done today. At times I have an idea of a change and discuss them with Debra and to my amazement her creation is better than what I had in mind. But what sticks out the most for me is when I just say, "Do what you think will look best." It is my confidence in her abilities that allows the freedom of just letting go and still knowing that with all her experience as well as the continued education she seeks for new styles, color or tends I am always in competent professional hands. I work in the Restaurant industry and I always get comments about my hair cut or color style, it is with no hesitation that I praise the salon as well as the employees who make everything happen. I would with no qualms reccomend this salon to anyone. more

They get it! 7/25/2006

After reading the reviews on this website I scheduled an appt. with Vanessa which was an excellent decision. Vanessa is amazing! Not only does she cut and color my hair (and my mother's when she comes to visit), she did make-up and hair for my entire wedding party and everyone felt gorgeous. Plus, after spending an afternoon in a hotel suite hanging out with her while she worked on us, everyone loved her and wanted her to stay for the wedding. She will spend hours with you getting everything just right. I feel like I can communicate with her; when I say long, loose layers, that's what I get rather than some Jennifer Anniston circa 1994 cut. She's very up on what is in style and what looks good and individualizes your color and cut rather than following any sort of formulaic model which I've had many other hairdressers do over the years. I can't recommend her enough. more

Eyebrows to die for! 7/12/2006

I have very thick eyesbrows. I can't seem to tame them on my own. So I ended up going to get them waxed. This young lazy, I think her name was Rosie, first looked at my eyebrows for about 2 min. Then she layed me down and got to work. When she was done I could not believe the aftermath. She actually gave me the shape I wanted!!!!! Rosalina has got to be one of the best estheticians I've ever been to. She really got to the bottom of what I wanted to accomplish with my skin and asked me questions in order to make sure we were on the same page. great for curly hair 6/21/2006

I saw Vanessa after reading a great review about her here on Citysearch. I find it very hard to find a stylist who knows how to cut curly hair, but she did a fantastic job and listened to exactly what I wanted. She even blew it out straight after the cut (which I loved). I highly recommend seeing Vanessa at M2! more

Satisfaction guaranteed 6/15/2006

The first time I went to M2, I remember thinking "these people must have lots of family and friends!" because it seemed like everybody knew each other and really cared about each other. Usually that kind of thing makes me feel left out, but after just a few visits, I realized that you may go in a stranger, but you come out a friend - a friend with a hairstyle that is exactly what you've always wanted! Debra is the best, in my mind, but the staff seems really good also. I'll miss their old location, but I bet their new one will be great too! NOW i have A LONG HAIR 5/22/2006

after a really really short layered cut, i decided to get hair extension. i had hair extension before..and it wasn't nice...but with deb, it turns out to be really nice!!!! she was fun to hang out with..since i had to sit there for 4 hourss i wasn't feeling out of place or bored!...and kathy was veryy sweet..everyone there were very friendly!!! its highly recommendedd....and worth to drive for longg way from marina del rey Pros: nice place, friendly staff more

i'm so happy that i went to M2!! All the workers there are so friendly. I was even able to book my appointment same day...(got lucky i guess) My stylist's name is VANESSA and she is just WONDERFUL! She makes you feel very comfortable talking to her and she gives you her honest advice. Vanessa knew exactly what i wanted, and my hair honestly came out how i pictured it to be. (unlike my other experiences) Even my boyfriend, who rarely notices anything about my hair, told me that i looked good! :) And they're affordable too~ The only bad thing i can say about this salon is the parking.. you have to find street parking or park across the street...but other than that, this salon was fabulous~ i definitely found the salon that i would come back to over and over again... Loved It! 5/4/2006

I just experienced my first cut and color at the M2 and am thrilled with the results. I went in wanting a change, but not sure exactly what to do. In a dreadfully indecisive state of mind, I went in basically leaving it all to Megan. She did a great job. She didn't over cut my hair and the color looks awesome. I was impressed 4/30/2006

I used a temporary hair color and it had been almost 6 months. It was starting to fade out, but looked "faded" so i went to Vanessa and she went right to work. I truly love the color and cut and she even did my eyebrows. I was a faded orange color when i walked in and a beautiful red head when I came out. I was also highly impressed with the cut. My hair is naturally curly, but i can do just about anything with it...straight, rollers, flip, however all my previous hair cuts are only for one style. But the style Vanessa gave me is so versatile i can go from curly to straight and still look great! I have nothing but wonderful things to say. Best Hair of My Life! 4/30/2006

I have always had a desire to go blond, but have always been afraid to really make that kind of drastic change! I finally got up the guts to do it and decided with much trepidation to go for the goal. I went to M2, even though it was quite out of my way, because I had heard great things about a certain stylist there - Megan Titus. All I have to say is that I look amazing! My blond is beautiful and looks just like I imagined it should. I am not the best communicator about what I want my hair to look like, but somehow Megan knew exactly what would look best on me and she gave me an amazing hair cut also. Anyone who is thinking about going to this salon - do it and ask for Megan Titus, you'll get the best hair of your life! more

Gotta say that I love Kate! 4/30/2006

This review is a week overdue but you should know that this place is awesome! It's not Beverly Hills, thank God! None of that "Hi, I'm the professional here so I'll tell you what's best" load of crap. Kate gave me awesome highlights! I told her what my style's like and what I'm going for and she pieced it together. She and her boss are super friendly people and actually LISTEN to you! They're also VERY accomodating! Their last appointment is usually 4pm, but I went in at 6pm on a FRIDAY evening and stayed there till 9pm! Then they got my hair party ready and I was good to go! If you want down to earth people in a zen-like atmosphere who are friendly, check out M2 Studio! I got my hair highlighted and cut by Vanessa (the sweetest girl!!) for the first time, and i walked out loving my new hair. she paid close attention to what i wanted and she made it feel like it was truly her goal to make me love the outcome (instead of just doing whatever she wanted) i will definilty be back! ps... another great part was the fact that she stayed there late to do my hair!!! no other salon i've ever been to has done that! more

So Impressed 4/24/2006

So I have had blondish highlights for 7 years and decided to go brunette (which I am naturally but always hated on me). I also wanted a very minimal cut, as I am trying to let my hair grow. Lastly, just a few wisps of blond for a face frame. I am from the East coast and had one bad experience in LA and was very nervous to try again but saw that M2 had a 10 out 10 on here, so I went. Meg did my hair and it came out soooo much better than I had imagined. My hair somehow looks longer, WAY healthier and I have gotten so many compliments on the color. Long Hair At Last...Thanks to Debra! 4/22/2006

My hair is very fine and thin. As a result, I could never get it to grow past a certain point. I had my first appointment with Debra 3 weeks ago, and she did an amazing job on my color. It was EXACTLY what I wanted, but had not been able to achieve after repeated attempts at another salon. Yesterday I had extensions put in for the first time. Once again, Debra gave me EXACTLY the look I wanted. For the first time in my life I have long, thick hair...and it looks natural! I'm so thankful to have finally found the perfect salon. The atmosphere at M2 Studio Salon is fun, yet professional; and the entire staff could not have been nicer. more
