Romantic date and group hangout spot! 3/5/2008

I have been here several times and I always love it! The food is great! The crowd is very mixed and cool. I hosted a going away party for my boss here a couple of weeks ago and without any hassle or charges and with only two day's prior notice, they allowed me to reserve an entire area and to have two waitresses all to oursevles! It was great! Everyone had a fabulous time! The bungalows are great for romantic dates! And you can't beat the macaroni andcheese! Pros: Food and service are great! more

Rude service, even ruder management. AVOID! 2/29/2008

Went there a few days ago, food was ok, drinks were warm, decor was cheesy , patio was dirty. When we went to ask what was taking so long for our food, waitress had an attitude about it. On the way out, we saw a manager (or owner?) being rude to the staff. Should have avoided this place after seeing all the bad reviews. The place is just not as trendy as they make it seem to be. Pros: I like all the private bungalows. Cons: the moroccan detailing is kind of lame. more

YOU WILL LOVE THIS PLACE!! 2/11/2008

We went here last Saturday night for my husband's birthday with 12 friends. WOW, what a beautiful place! The food was soooooo good!!!! Everyone in our party was raving about it! The service was excellent! Our waitress so sweet and attentive!!! We danced upstairs afterwards and we all had a blast!! If you have not been here, I promise you will love this place! Keep in mind, birthday's here are great but it is also great for a romantic dinner!!!!!! Thanks to the staff for making my husband's birthday so special! more

This place is obviously the next big hot spot in LA dining - - came here this past weekend for a bachelorette party for my girlfriends and the sleek and trendy atmosphere made for the perfect surroundings! We were greeted by a stunning staff who were all attentive and very knowledgable about the menu, the drinks were large and highly potent, and their sushi was AMAZING!!!! after our dinner we didn't want to leave so we ended up closing the place down in their inside lounge area, and it seemed like everyone had that idea as well! this palce is so great that no one wants to leave it! Loved the Bungalow Club for their fantastic food and drinks, and for their even better service!! Pros: everything Cons: nothing! more

Wow - I have been to THE BUNGALOW CLUB several times for happy hour. The food is amazing... The drinks are out of this world! Then the service is good!!! Highly recommended :) Pros: Happy Hour, Martini, Mojito more

Never Again! 1/20/2008

I made reservations for my husband's birthday party one month in advance and confimed the week of the event. I had 20 people in my party for a 9:30 reservation. We waited for over 2 hours for our table and were never seated. My guests were starving and left after such a ridiculous wait. There was never an explanation given from management. Needless to say, I will never go back and don't recommend this establishment for large groups. Please disregard all the glowing reviews about how great it is for groups because it is NOT!! Fun eclectic crowd, great food! 11/6/2007

Despite having a reservation it took a good 45 minutes for our large party to be seated. To their defense, the place was packed and they finally ended up seating us in the private area and buying a round of shots. The crowd is easy-going and eclectic, the music fun, although a little repetitive (playing popular songs more than a couple of times). However, the food is excellent, the wait staff very friendly and the club itself is beautiful. Aside from the seating, everyone in our party had a great time. I would definitely come again. If you?re looking for a Hollywood style club with a little more class (i.e not a meat market), great food and dancing, this is the place. more

Great atmosphere 10/27/2007

I've been going to the Bungalow for a couple of years now. Went again last night for a birthday party in the Moroccan room. Love the atmosphere. Sooo romantic. The new guy (manager I think) Rich or Chris? This guy is five stars. Can I have him. (for my Hotel I mean). This is where w.o.w. comes from. Being serious...after 15 years in the food and beverage world (hotels) I can say the Bungalow Club is a great place to hang out and meet with friends. The food is just o.k. but everything else makes up for it. Thanks , had a great time last night. more

Not a pleasant experience, slow and unattentive waitstaff, lukewarm food, drinks were okay. When I think of all of the other establishments in LA that one could celebrate a birthday, it makes me sad that my friend chose bungalow club. Do a little research on some places that have across the board good reviews. more

Fun place to Hang out and meet people! 10/9/2007

The bungalow was a very nice place to hang out. The decor is very fun and classy. The downstairs part is a restaurant and the upstairs is where the dancing happens. I went on a friday night and it wasn't too full but the music was top 40's. It was a lot of fun, the crowd was very diverse and very easy going. If you go you have to try the MOJITO MARTINIS....they ARE the BEST!!!!! You must try! Valet was really cheap, only $5.00 and worth it. Finding a parking spot in this area is ridiculous! You have to have a permit. Pros: Great Drinkis Cons: Not very packed. more

Poor Excuse Of A "trendy" LA Spot 9/27/2007

From the decor and location, you can tell the management is trying hard to establish itself as an LA hotspot, but it seems to fall a few steps behind. It's been busy the few times I have gone, but service has slowly declined each time. Nothing to write home about. One of my top 15 restaurants. Eat outside. If you can score a bungalow --grab it. We've never been able to get one as they go very fast, but they look oh-so-romantic. Food was good, service was good. No complaints really. Pros: romantic Cons: none more

Yuck 8/13/2007

Yuck. I expected a nice restaurant but this was not that kind of place. People were really rude to me - starting from the guy i made my reservation with. My waitress was not entirely interested in being my waitress, the food was ok and the drinks I could have sworn were watered down. I also had the privilege of complaining to management about the food and was given very poor treatment from somebody with som serious ego issues. Not what I expected at all. Would not go back here...this place was bad enough to where I even want to write a review about it which I have never done before. Stay away. Wow looks like this girl who had a party has nothing better to do than have all her friends write reviews and trash this bar. I have been to Bungalow Club on many occasions and the service and food is top notch. (Check out the back patio very cool scene). I just had my boyfriends 31st birthday here last week and everything was great. All of our friends were extremely happy with the location and food. (Order the Filet it is one of the best I have had yum!) I have eaten all over LA and this definitely is a solid choice any night of the week and an awesome environment to hold an event. Did I mention they have sushi now yeah! more

Defending the Bungalow Club 7/30/2007

Please ignore all of the bad comments, I'm a regular at the Bungalow Club and I know the owners. This is obviously a nasty person that had a bad experience and taking the situation completely out of proportion. Their service is wonderful and the food is fabulous! Please, the Hummus is best you'll ever have, Red Snapper is amazing and they have Sushi (nigiri and sashimi :) Don't miss out on a great experience because of one person's immature behavior. more
