the service was good and was done in a timely manor.I used a groupon for which I paid 20.00 for an oil change and tire rotation,but was very annoyed when I was charged extra for synthetic oil.It seems to me this offer was poorly advertised. more

Every time I take my car to Kirkwood Auto Center they have done a good job on fixing my car. It is on time and they tell me if I need something else done. They also remind me of service that should be done depending on the mileage. I would recommend Kirkwood Auto Center to a friend or relative. more

Auto Repair 8/19/2011

I brought my car in because it was stalling. Your tech diagnosed it as a problem with the distributor cap. The repairs were done quickly and correctly as always. more

Every time I take my car into Kirkwood Auto I am pleased. They take the time to thoroughly diagnose any problems, talk candidly beforehand about pricing, they take the time to sit with me and discuss needed work, work beyond what was expected, or items that are due for scheduled maintenance. I always feel respected when I go to Kirkwood Auto. I never feel like there are "oh, it'll be $2000 more" surprises, or "this will take three more hours" inconveniences. I really trust Kirkwood Auto to service my car and I always walk out pleased, no matter what work was done or how much it was. It always feels like a square deal. more

Good service, but no favors 8/18/2011

There's no question, the mechanics at Kirkwood Auto are excellent and courteous. But you'll pay for every service. Loyal customer for years? That's fine. But ask them to throw in an oil change on a $1200+ service, and you're out of luck. Their rates are high, and even a diagnostic (before they do a single thing to fix the car) is over $100, where other shops won't charge if you have the service done there. In short, use them if you can afford it. more

August standard service 8/17/2011

The staff at Kirkwood Auto always treat me friendly and professionally. I love the work area where i can sit and work for shorter appointments and dont have to take vacaton or worry about the ride to and from downtown Wilmington. It has made it so much easier for me. I am sure you have contributed to my car making it to 135,000 miles. more

Patched a tire 8/14/2011

I was able to get an appointment after work -430PM, which was great. I had a slow leek in one of my tires, which was patched. I was on my way in an hours. I'm always pleased with your survice more

Excellent service 8/13/2011

I have been taking my vehicles to Kirkwood Auto for over 15 years. The quality of the service has been consistently excellent. The customer service representatives always clearly explain the recommended services and also include the urgency of critical repairs. The detailed final receipt includes all services performed as well as services that are not critical but should be performed in the future. I always feel that I am a valued customer and that I receive a good value for the services performed. more

They went above and beyond to make sure I received the best price for my tires. However, they must have lost one of the valve caps and replaced it with one that does not match and also did not tighten the lug nuts to the proper ft/lbs torque. The hub cap cover that covers the lug nuts also fell off while driving up the driveway, but we were able to recover it and put it back on. Minor issues, but would expect a place of this caliber to have those minor issues worked out. I will still go back to them and give them another shot. more
