I have used Dave's Best Limousine Service a few times in the past with no issues so my husband and I decided to use the service again for our upcoming vacation. \r \r I submitted an email quote for round trip service for 2 in a private Town Car from Abington Twp to PHL. Dave's Limo quoted me $39.00 one way or $69.00 round trip for 2 passengers. What a great deal, right? WRONG! When I called a few days later to make the reservation I was told it would cost $325.00 round trip for the both of us! I argued with the dispatcher that I had the lower price in writing and that my quote did specify private town car. The dispatcher spoke to the manager and the manager said $276.00 was the best they could do for the town car. They would not honor my quote!\r \r Obiviously the information in the quotation means nothing and the person providing the wrong information is not held accountable for their mistake. I guess if the manager doesn't care then why should the employees care? \r \r Will not be using nor recommending Dave's Best Limo anymore! more

I called them at 7:45 from ground transportaion and was rudely told by Steve, the dispatcher, that it will be here in 30 minutes. 45 minutes later when I called back, I was again connected to Steve who was nasty and rude again and told me to""Hang up the phone and go sit down and he would be there. When he finally arrived I found out I was not going to Bensalem Township for a while, as Steve told the driver to go to Jenkintown COMPLETELY OPPOSITE DIRECTION AND IN NO WAY CLOSE TO MY DESTINATION. There was a customer who had a reservation, and arrived earlier than me ,but she told me she watched Daves 1 st car earlier pull away as she was walking to desk.\r Almost 2 hours later I was finally deposited at my parents house. Today at approximately 10 am a woman called me from DAVESBEST to confirm my return to the airport. I ASKED HER name and she said ""Joan"" which I repeated and wrote down. I told he of the horrible service and that I was cancelling if they were going to run me all over the city again. She put me on hold, came back , and said they were going to go in opposite direction again. I asked her to refund the retun portion to my mothers credit card as I was cancelling and would find another company to take me. She said that would not be a problem to credit back my parents , who had pre paid, I again verified her name and we hung up. \r Tonight I had the displeasure of talking to Steve again, Donna answered the phone when I called and put him on the line. He was downright abusive which in turn triggered me to react in kind. He claimed NO ONE named Joan worked there and that Davesbest would not be refunding my mothers card for the unused return cancelled 24 hours prior and due to their Terrible service. He ended up hanging up.\r The driver on Wednesday had been very kind, and he told me Davesbest has lost drivers due to this Steve, and he told me the driver I had last year when I used them quit, after telling Steve off in front of the 1 owner Manny. \r There are plenty of other reliable and customer oriented limo companies in the are, THIS COMPANY IS BAD NEWS. I see from the reviews that many other former cutomers also had horrible experiences. I shall be filing complaints with the better business bureau, the attorney general for the state,and any other State agency as well for their refusal to credit my mothers card , after I WAS told they would. VERY RUDE! BAD SERVICE! 5/14/2011

I called Dave Limo 9:53PM today. The call operator kept shouting rudely at me when he could not hear my voice. When I told him to hold on the line while I was looking up the address of the hotel I am staying, he said get everything ready before you call and hanged up. On the car, the air-condition was broken. TOOK 6 HRS to get from JFK to Philadelphia. The driver kept complaining all along. Like what other people said, AVOID AT ALL COST. more

Real cheaters...real money stealers...thiefs...my flight was late for 30 minutes and i missed the shuttle. i called the cust service and they the next is after 3 hours, as i am with a 2 year old in the winter, so i thought i would find a different shuttle service. i checked with cust service and they said i can go for other options but they didn't tell me that my card will be charged.\r \r When i asked why my card is charged for $165.00 even when i didn't use the sevice, they just kept me waiting on the phone and finally cut the line. the worst customer service.\r \r Please avoid this shuttle service if possible. more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! 2/17/2011

They conveniently don't provide enough limos going back from JFK to Phila., so, you must pay extra if your plane gets in before 9-thirty a.m., unless you don't mind waiting until the 1 p.m. return van to Phila.. They pick up only certain people at their homes. They would pick up my girlfriend and me only at a hotel, so, in essence, we had to get a ride to get a ride. I had to cancel my flight. The condescending driver on the way to JFK had said that there were shuttles every two hours starting at 1 p.m.. I was at the Ground Transportation at 2 mins. after 5 p.m., and the guy didn't show up until 6-forty! Then, when my girlfriend got back at 5-thirty a.m. at JFK, I found out that, while I had a conversation affirming that I would pay the extra 40 dollars to not have to wait until 1 p.m., when they called the day before our trip, to charge me, someone had dropped the ball, and I had only paid for the 1 p.m. pick up. Needless to say, my girlfriend was not happy. There's a 24-hr. cancellation policy, and the driver for me on the way back must've been going 85 mph. more

i called the company to make reservation to pick up my father and brother from JFK on a flight that was coming in at 10:55. they stated that they would pick them up @ 1:00pm, and that all they should do is call them when they clear customs. They did and at that time they told them that they would not be able to pick them up until 3pm. Do you think they would call ahead to inform their customer that they would be two hours late. Hell NO!!!!!!!!!!! you have to call them to find out. THEIR SERVICE SUCKS I will e-mail again to let you all know exactly what time they actually picked them up. more

Rude Dispatcher 7/13/2010

We waited 3 hours to be picked up at the airport and each time we called the dispatcher was completely unprofessional and rude. Even the driver complained about the guy. Even though our driver was very polite and respectful (once we finally got picked up), we will not be a repeat customer because of the dispatcher. In todays market companies can't afford to lose good customers there are to many other options out there. Dave's Limo was by far the worst shuttle ride I have ever taken! The vans were dirty with little or no air conditioning, the drivers were rude and drove unsafely, no one answered the phone at the dispatch for the return trip, the trips were horrendously long-6 hours from Phil. to JFK / 4 1/2 from JFK to Phil. Horrible service. Not only did the shuttle leave 2 hrs late but the dispatch personnel was extremely rude for no reason. They did not call me back as they said they would. When I asked if they could drop my boyfriend off with the first passenger who was being dropped off then i'd pick him up there since he's been traveling already for a long time (over 30 hrs since hobart, tasmania!) the response i got back was a very rude well everyone's been traveling long! I wasn't asking for any favors so I don't know why I should get such a rude reception! I would never use this service again. more

What a fiasco!! 4/25/2010

Planned a trip to Huntington, WV and hired Dave's Limo to pick us up on Friday AM. They picked us up on time and got us to the airport in plenty of time, but that is where the good things STOP!!\r \r Arrived home on Sunday at about 11:30 am, by the time you get off plane, get your luggage, is noon by then. Called Dave's from the ground transportation desk at PHL and the dispatcher's first question was ""Are you at the airport?' No, where do you think I am calling you from? THE AIRPLANE??? Called them at approx 12:05PM, still at airport at 1:10PM, dispatcher could give me NO ET as to when driver would be there. After making 2 calls to them, was finally going to take the train home to Warminster, PA, figured it was faster than they are now. When I made 2nd call to them, I again asked for ETA and could not be given one, I told her that it was a little chilly outside and could she at least give me an idea as to time. She asked what I was doing outside when there are chairs inside for you to wait. Well, the person I was with is a smoker, you cannot smoke in the airport, so we were outside chatting while she was ""catching some smokes."" Dispatcher told me that after we were done smoking to go back inside and wait...Who in the world is she to tell me what to do? I am not a child and totally resented her remark. So, upon deciding to take train, was checking out the schedule when driver finally arrived. He left a little to be desired as far as his driving skills were concerned, I was waiting for an accident to happen when he slowed down to a crawl going thru the express EZ pass lanes, I felt sorry for the drivers behind him. \r \r Anyway, in chatting with the driver, he told us that he had been at the airport for 40 minutes, was in the holding lot, where he managed to get something to eat as well as catch a nap. Now, I don't begrudge the man his lunch or a catnap, everyone certainly deserves that, however, to find out he was there REALLY ticked me off. So, when I got home I called dispatcher and was told that she knew he was there, but she was trying to reach another customer whose plane had come in while we were standing waiting to be picked up, but that she couldn't reach him so she decided to release the driver and send him to pick us up. She didn't want to run the van the distance from PHL to Warminster, PA with only 2 people in it. So, who cares how many people are in it? They got paid $75.00 in advance to do this and I am quite sure that $75.00 will fill the tank on that van.\r \r I have been using Dave's for a while but will never use them again...This trip turned out to be the trip from hell.\r \r Pros: Finally got home Cons: Too many to list more

REALLY ARE THE BEST 2/20/2010

i travel many times a year sometimes to jfk sometimes to phila airport. i have tried other companies over the past 20 years but always return to daves. they are most often then not very dependable(sometimes I wait longer than I like) i always ask for rona she is the best, very help and always makes sure the drivers assist me with my luggage. over the years i have heard other passenger complain. not me, i am a fan. more

NEVER BOOK DAVES 1/15/2010

I cant believe I have to give them 1 star when they deserve ZERO. I trusted them to take my teenager to JFK and back from Ft washington. The driver on the way back drove 90 miles an hour swerving in and out of traffic, took smoke breaks and was rude to his passengers. The only time he smiled was when he was waiting for a tip...Fat chance. ...The 2 owners do not get on the phone to take complaints...amazing theyre still in business... more

Arranged for transfer from Newark to Phl airport with my daughter recently. We were scheduled to arrive at 10pm- dispatcher made a big deal that they stopped pick ups after 11pm. We luckily arrived a bit early- called Dave's. Was told driver would come. Waited 45min- called again, was told driver in at JFK picking up passenger. Would be at Newark in 1/2 hr, 50 minutes later (11:50 pm) van showed up, my daughter and I were the 10 & 11th passengers. The luggage was stacked so high, he could not see out of rear window, and seatbelts were impossible to use. My mistake, I assumed from the website that said airport transfer, that thats was it was, not a personal taxi service. We stopped in 2 different locations(Cottman Ave area), and then mid- drive, the driver recalled that he had to drop off a passenger in center city. Then he could not find Rt 76 to get to airport. Arrived at Philly airport after 2 am. Still 2 passengers going to Cherry Hill. Are you kidding me?? I will never use more

Not classy. We needed 3 Limos for our corporate office party. That's not what we goAnd the driver came impolite, unshaven & wearing a red hoodie; with an attitude to match. From the first their phone manner is very rude. They are completely unorganized - picking us up in backward order. Good and reliable service 6/14/2009

I used this service four times and all four times the driver was a little late but I always made it to the JFK airport way before I actually needed to be there. It does get a bit long - picking up or dropping people off on the way, but the price is not too bad so I guess it makes sense to grin and bear it. Overall this is a reliable company, I keep using them over and over again. The only thing I am not particularly happy about is their pick-up times being spaced out across chunks of time where you have either just missed the shuttle or have to wait another two hours for the next one. My 90 yr old mother-in-law and my sister-in-law arranged this limo service to pick up the 90 yr old in PHL at 12:30 am three days ago. (They had used it for a number of years with no problems.) My husband and I had accompanied her both ways between PHL and San Francisco. Her arrival was a little tardy but within a good tolerance at PHL. Satisfactory on that. She had a pre-paid round trip ticket and was scheduled for her pickup in PHL. When we arrived right on time from CA, we called, as directed, from the transportation desk near baggage. Steve, the dispatcher, told us he had no drivers and she would have to find another way home. My husband, the employees at the desk, and I all tried to make Steve understand that we were talking about a 90 yr old woman who needed to go home right then. We asked if Dave would pick up the tab for a taxi. No. A hotel? No. We asked to talk to a supervisor. No one there. We were told to call back at 9 am. Nothing even about a refund. No inf more
