POOR service and quyality 3/19/2012

Trying to save others from this bad product and service - Ordered a men's pair of ballroom shoes and a women's - our Christmas gifts to each others. Men's - 2nd wearing: eyelets coming loose. Non - returnable after 30 days! What quality!!! Women's - returned promptly January 9 because did not fit. No refund received so called Feb. 7 - told a refund would take FOUR weeks! Upon my displeasure - and full well knowing refunds do NOT take that long - was told a credit would be processed that week. Next stateent comes - STILL no credit. Upon my insistence that credit be run immediately - AH HA - yes, they COULD and did, indeed run the credit...and on top of that I'm supposed to be happy they did not charge the restocking fee! Do NOT order from this company if quality and service are important to you. more

Very Pleased! 3/9/2012

I ordered two pairs of dance shoes, one for my husband and one for myself. I had difficulty placing the order on-line and called to order by phone. Their representative was extremely helpful and got me the best deal possible! When I called again to check on the order I spoke to a different rep. and he was very polite and helpful, too. The shoes arrived a day earlier than expected and are exactly what we wanted. The men's shoes are a style that look much like street-shoe ""wing-tips"" and I did not find them anywhere else. I read the negative reviews a couple of days after ordering and worried a little about what would go wrong with My order, but everything was perfect! I would not hesitate to order from them again! They offer good selection, good deals, and good service. more

Buyer BEWARE! 10/12/2011

This is not a reputable merchant. I ordered (via internet) from Dance 4 Less, and like others that have posted, did not receive what I ordered. My order for a specific brand (advertised on their website) was substituted with an item from a different manufacturer, of lesser quality and which actually retails for less. However, they charged my credit card for the higher priced brand which they did not send. Thinking it may have been just a packing mistake, I called to correct the problem. The woman who answered proceeded to rudely ask me if I was sure I ordered the right thing. I told her that I had a copy of my order, as well as the packing slip (which corresponded to what I ordered, but not with what they shipped) and that I was absolutely positive this was not what I ordered. She then advised me that I would have to pay for return shipping and that they would then credit my card. When I complained about having to pay for return shipping when it was their mistake, my call was disconnected. Numerous attempts to call back were useless as she did not pick up the phone again. Since they gave me no other recourse I have already called my credit card company and the purchase has been placed in dispute. I wish I had taken the time to research this merchant BEFORE placing my order, for if I had read these reviews before hand I would have never ordered from them. Dance 4 Less either has the worst customer service, or the worst packing department, or they are simply dishonest. In any case, this is one merchant to stay away from. more

Don't Shop Here 5/2/2011

I have had similar issues as others have had with Dance For Less; poor customer service and having to pay for return shipping TWICE because they sent the wrong items. They do not honor their returns policy. Then they don't return your calls or emails. The one time I did manage to get them on the phone, the guy was rude and uncaring just as the others have said. Despite their reasonable pricing, it isn't worth it. They are not an honorable merchant. more

Not honest 4/29/2011

I received the shoes I ordered but they didn't fit. I called and asked if I could return them and was told that I could. I returned them and that was the last I heard from them except for emails advertising their wares. I emailed them and asked for my refund. No answer. I would never deal with them again nor recommend them to anyone else. more

I am not local to Las Vegas, I ordered online and was very pleased when my shoes arrived three days later (halfway across the Country, no less). I will be using them again and again!! Great bargain items. Thank you for getting the goods to us in time for our first couples lesson!! more

I AM A LAS VEGAS RESIDENT & ALTHOUGH THEY HAD AROUND 50 BALLROOM SHOES TO PICK FROM IN MY SIZE..I WAS DEAD SET ON THIS ONE PAIR THEY DID NOT HAVE...THEY WERE SO NICE AND QUICK TO ACCOMMODATE ME AND MY THREE KIDS...THEY ORDERED THE SHOES FOR ME AND EVEN SHIPPED IT TO ME FOR FREE!!! I RECEIVED THE SHOES IN 3 DAYS! I FEEL PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS QUICK TO WRITE A REVIEW FOR NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES BUT NEVER FOR A POSITIVE ONE!!! I WILL BE GOING BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN & YOU SHOULD TOO! Worst customer service ever! 3/15/2011

I paid 15.00 to ship a 24"" three tier tutu asap because I needed it for a costume. They sent me a 12"" tutu instead. I called and spoke to Morgan, who (rudely) explained that that item was on back order, that he would TRY to get one, but it was probably not going to happen. I was so happy when he called back to say they would next day air one to me. Unfortunately, they sent the wrong one (AGAIN).. a 24"" two tier tutu that was too see through. I called and spoke to the manager, Tom. When I explained that they had sent me the wrong one again, his response was ""Oh, the three tier tutu is on back order... what do you want to do?!"" No apology... nothing! He couldn't have cared less! At this point, it was too late to try and get another one, so I just sent the 1st tutu back (6.00 more in shipping costs), and asked that they please at least credit back the 14.95, plus 6.00 in shipping charges. Of course they didn't! It must be nice to have so much business you don't need repeat customers... because I sure won't return!! more

I teach dance in a public school. I ordered from Dance 4 Less once before and received all the wrong sizes of things I ordered. I thought it was a one time thing so I recently placed another very large order. When my ordered arrived everything about it was wrong! I ordered adult wrap skirts (12 and 15 in. length) they arrived and were child sizes (no more than 6-8 in. long). There is no way they would fit my students. I also ordered other 12 inch wrap skirts and received 18 inch elastic waist skirts. The leotards that I ordered were right, however the X-Large ones had large tags inside with an ""X"" written in pen next to the word large. They were the same size as the larges. When I questioned this they told me that the leotard company (Body Wrappers) did that because they ran out of ""x-large"" tags. He was serious!!! On top of all this when I called to complain the customer service I received was appalling. He was yelling at me and telling me that what I received as all they had in stock so that is what I was getting. I insisted on sending some of it back which at first he told me I had to pay for myself. He also went so far as to ask me why I cared if the order was wrong because it was a PO order and was not my money (but the school/district I work for)! Worst customer service I have ever had!! I am returning my entire order and placing with discount dance supply. I have never had problems with DDS. This company is a joke...do yourself a favor and do not order from them!! more

I needed recital basics for my girls and didn't have time to drive around town looking for the pieces they needed. So, I ordered everything online from Dance 4 Less. Unfortunately, the size reference recommendation they have on their site for ballet shoes is a JOKE! I ordered accordingly and not one of the pairs of shoes actually fit. They were WAY TOO small. They even did ""their increase"" in size and neither one of the shoes worked for my girls. more

Order and take your chances! 1/17/2011

I've ordered twice. Both times one of the two items I received wasn't what I ordered. The first time it was a dance bag - was ok so I kept it. But the 2nd time was supposed to receive a sweater shrug, got a leotard material shrug with sequins and beading - not at all like the photo/description on the website. I tried calling immediately...got voicemail. Left a message. Emailed also. No response to either. Called again today. Was told by girl who answered the phone she would check about a return. She didn't come back on the phone after more than 15 minutes. Hung up and tried again, several times. Their system goes right to hold - no voicemail. Who runs a business like this? If you're willing to roll the dice, go ahead. Maybe you'll get lucky. I'll stick with Dance Solutions, thanks. more

Fast and Cheap 6/28/2010

If I had read the other reviews I probably wouldn't have ordered from Dance 4 Less, but I am really glad I did. I checked out a few other discount dance websites while looking for tap and ballet shoes for my 3 year old daughter. Dance 4 Less was cheaper than the rest for basically the same items. I placed my order on Friday evening and to my surprise I recieved my package Monday morning. I will use Dance 4 Less for future dance purchases. Pros: Items delivered quickley more

Horrendous Customer Service 4/23/2010

I have never written a negative review for a company because my anger usually dissipates before I make the commitment to spend the time it takes to write. Dance4Less changed that. I order two pairs of black tap shoes in January. In February, I received two pairs of tan shoes. Repeated emails to the company received no response. When I finally spoke with Customer Service several weeks later, I was informed that I was to send the shoes back at my expense and would then be reimbursed. Only then would the correct shoes be sent. I sent the shoes and received no replacements. I wrote, I called, and I was told the shoes had not been received. I wrote again, I called again, and I waited again until someone agreed to send the shoes. Today I called to ask when to expect my reimbursement for their mistake. The woman I spoke with said they could only reimburse me for about half of what I spent to ship the shoes?through the USPS as instructed. When I questioned why I had to pay for their mistake, she handed me to a man who gruffly questioned my integrity in claiming that I had to spend more than $5 to send the shoes back when THEY sent shoes all over the country for that amount. Whoever operates this company has absolutely no sense of how to run an honest business. Please do not support Dance4Less. Their prices may be low, but their integrity is even lower. Advertised Out of Stock Shoes and Sent Different Shoes 3/17/2010

I ordered same 2 pairs of shoes from ""CLEARANCE & SPECIALS"" web page and got 2 pairs of different dumpy shoes. Similar color and same size. The one I wanted was discontine item and out of stock and it's still on the web page although it was more than a month ago. I felt that page was for dumping the unsold items regardless of the order. So I sent back the shoes as they said. Also they said that it took 2 to 3 weeks to refund and I waited almost 3 weeks. They didn't refund money and I disputed the charge. Cons: Just wasted money to send back wrong shoes more

Received different shoes than advertised 10/8/2009

I ordered a pair of white salsa shoes online, and what I received was a style substantially different than what was advertised in the product photos on Dance4Less' website. The shoes I received were white salsa, but they had designed ventilation holes all over the top and sides. The shoes in the photos clearly did not have these holes (the leather was solid). Dance4Less had shipped me a different style of shoe. I was not asked in advance for approval, and I received no advance warning. Perhaps they thought it was okay since the shoes were in same 'ballpark' or similar in type and color -- but that's not how to run an online business. I ordered ballroom dance shoes for my husband for a professional dance competition in June. We paid for two day shipping as we needed them by Thursday. We received one pair of shoes we ordered with a note stating the other would arrive next week and were backordered. I called Dance4Less stating that we needed these shoes by the next day and asked why we were not told ahead of time that the shoes were backordered in order to give us the ability to order from another store. They stated that they could send the shoes out to the hotel for the next day. A much less expensive and lesser quality pair of shoes came to the house the next day and we nearly missed them. My husband had no choice but to wear these for his competition. After wearing them one time the heel came unglued. He had to continue wearing them for his professional competition the following evening and was nervous that he was going to trip the entire time. He did not wear them again. I waited for the original pair of shoes that I ordered and was charged for and they never came. I called the company, explained the situation, stating that I was sent a lesser quality shoe that had fallen apart the first time my husband wore them, which we had not ordered or asked to be sent. He had no choice but to wear them. I was told to return them with a note explaining that they were defective and that the original pair of shoes I had ordered and was still charged for would then be sent. I paid to ship them priority as requested and called to confirm their receipt in a couple of days. A different man answered the phone and became extremely belligerent, stating that these shoes had been worn and could not be refunded. I tried many times to explain to him the entire story and that I had been directed to send them back,and that my card was still charged $100 for a pair of shoes we ordered and never received. He never allowed me to get that far. He was actually screaming at me, would not let me speak and hung up the phone. I called back multiple times and no one answered the phone. Not only is their quality of their products extremely poor, they are insulting and abusive. Protect yourself from this deplorable company. Worst Customer service ever!! 2/11/2009

First of all they sent me shoes with the incorrect heal height and the buckle was missing from one shoe. I returned them for a refund. I called at least 6 times and e-mailed 4 times with no response. Finally when I did get ahold of a live person I was promised a refund prompty. Another 3 phone calls and they finally credited my account. Keep in mind they had all of my information when I placed the order, phone, address and e-mail address and never tried to take care of this. It took 4 months to finally receive the refund but they took out the original free shipping charge and said the free shipping did not apply if you return shoes. It cost me $14.00 in shipping charges back and forth and nothing to show for it even though they sent me the wrong product and no buckle in the first place. more

Worst customer service ever 11/1/2008

I went in trying to hunt down a set of point shoes for my younger sister. The man behind the counter was incredibly rude. He was helping three of us, all at the same time, rather than focusing on one particular customer. He wasn't sympathetic or apologetic in the slightest when unable to locate her size. She has large feet so I asked him if he knew any places to check for the shoes. He told me, and I quote, ""Companies just don't make 'em that big so you're out of luck."" I walked out angry and frustrated. I located another dance store where we were, in fact, able to find the shoes.
