Best

My first stay @ Bellagio was very comfortable and dream-like. The staff was very nice and attentive. It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it ...

Worst

My wife and I recently stayed at The Bellagio. I have stayed at multiple hotels on the strip, and as far as the room, and the bed, The Bellagio is about as comfortable as stayin...

THE BEST HOTEL 12/22/2008

I would just like to say how much I love this hotel. We arrived in Vegas hoping for an ultra glamorous weekend and that's just what you get here. It took us 5 minutes to be checked in and the hotel staff were very pleasant. We had our bags taken for us by a very friendly man who then showed us to our hotel room. While I will admit that we were staying in the Presidential suite it didn't seem to matter - They seemed friendly to everyone! The suite was absolutely brilliant and the bed was one of the best in the world. I also booked the suite hoping that they would do everything listed on the internet - And they did. We were personally called and asked wether we would like seats at any of the restaurants, shows, clubs etc. We booked into Le Cirque and were guaranteed the best seating in the restaurant. So true - We felt like full on VIP's sitting in our little private section. All over this hotel was fabulous in every way - The service, the room just everything. I would definetely recommend it to anyone. I love it that much that I now travel there for 5 days approx. every three months and I am given wonderful treatment every single time. Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more

Best Breakfast 12/16/2008

never again 8/17/2008

First time at the buffet in Ballagio. It looked good on the Food Channel so we decided to try it. In reality it was overpriced and not very good and the wait staff were surly and unattending, not one wait staff at either the carvery table or the sushi bar smile or offer any helpful hint with the sauces for various dishes, most of the food were luke warm or dried up. Our waiter never brought us empty place for our shells. We ended up piling it on the table just to get it out of our dinner plate. The King crab was easy to eat but it was overly salty, the Beef Wellington was dry and a lot of food trays were empty or not being replenished for a long period of time. We were there at 5:30pm, the height of the dinner hour. We'd expected the food trays to be more plentiful and fresh. There were 2 things that were done well...rack of lamb and creme brulee. For over $70 for 2 people not including tips with only 2 items that wre any good, I think it's a bit overpriced. We will not go back to their buffet again. It's not worth it. Pros: Plenty of parking, good desserts Cons: Food were overcooked, over heated and unhelpful staff more

Picky eater 7/2/2008

I ate there once and had non-stop diahrea for five days. There are swarms of flying critters over every food bend and if you are planning on destroying your digestive system, this is the place to go. You must first pay an outrageous fee for the terrible food though. The food also smells like the trash in the trash bend. Pros: The food is over priced in the buffet Cons: The food is guaranteed to give you the diahrea, perhaps anothe form of digestive problems more

never again! 6/24/2008

First 3 times I went, it was great...\r Then the 4th time, they served me a piece of rotted meat, chicken. It had a weird smell to it. I thought it came that way, I ate it, and unfortunately, about 2 minutes later, it came up.\r Several people got sick from it. \r They refunded my money for 2, and put my husband and I up for an additional night for free.\r \r Sadly they have taken away the greater dishes and meats, and raised thier prices, 5 years ago, the buffet was wonderful, but my impressiona has been tainted.\r Better off at the Green Valley Ranch buffet, its terrific! Pros: its sorta nice Cons: I got sick more

Unacceptable 6/16/2008

I thought the price per person here at the Bellagio Buffet is totally overpriced. I really don't think this buffet had a lot of food to choose from. The only food I went back for seconds were mashed potatoes w/ gravy and salad. One would think this buffet was going to be the bomb or something since the line was so long, but I was totally disappointed. Our server was nice even though all he did was bring us our drinks. But please believe me that there really was no food to be all ecstatic about. I would not come back here. It's not worth the price. Pros: ambience, nice server Cons: price, no selection more

awesome rooms, poor customer service 6/15/2008

my husband and i stayed here in june 2005. i expected more from this hotel before arrival. we stayed in the spa tower and it was great. we was very pleased with the room. the bathrooms was very spacious. the beds was to die for. but there customer service at the casino was very unproffesional. i always thought travelers checks was the safe was to go. but they were only a headache. we were treated like thefts. they acted liked as if they were stolen. and we had id and the reciept where we bought them from our bank. the next day i called with a complaint, needless to say that was a 2 hour run a round until i finally got the head casino manager on the phone and then he told me to come down to the caged he would cash them for me. so i did, and guest who was the there. the same person that didnt want to cash them for me. so i persided to ask for the manager that i talk to on the phone and he was right around the corner. so then he cash my travelers checks and then called her into office. after all that all they offered me was a limo to the hotel. i think if you are not a high roller they act like they dont care about your business. Pros: rooms and bathrooms, prime rest. eat there year prior Cons: customer service more

Disappointed! 5/24/2008

I am not big on buffets - everyone touching the same utensils and breathing on 'my food', but I had heard sooooo much about the Buffet at the Bellagio that I just had to try it. My mother and 2 aunts were visiting from New Jersey and the big thing there is Atlantic City (enough said). They're all carnivores and I'm pescetarian and we all love desserts, so we had all the food choices covered. I don't know what they had exactly - plates piled high with a sampling of everything in sight and they deemed the food - okay. They thought it was comparable to other $9.99 (!!!) buffets they have 'enjoyed' (just passing along what they said). I piled my plate with salmon (give it a 'B') and tons of crab legs (not king) they get a 'C' - way too salty. Don't know how I missed the sushi bar - oh, well. Thumbs up on the caesar dressing and two thumbs up on the desserts - cheesecake puffs and chocolate cake - yummy. I was expecting so much more. So, been there, done that. My only experience at a buffet that exceeded my expectations was at the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara - fabulous (it should be for $50+). Next I will try the buffet at The Wynn (please don't disappoint me). Pros: The lobby is beautiful :), caesar salad and desserts Cons: Food not better than average more

AVOID! 5/17/2008

do not eat here. everything was completely inedible. i developed a stomach ache about 20 minutes after eating some of the seafood there. Nothing was fresh. some of the meat served, such as the lamb chops, was still raw. if a place can screw up on potatoes, what else is there left to say? completely over priced for the quality of food. yes, there was a big selection, but i would rather eat 1 good thing than 25 nauseating things. more

When in Vegas- its a must! 5/7/2008

If you're visiting Vegas eating at a buffet is a must, esp. this place! yes the line is long, but so is everywhere else, the food is totally worth it tho. Instead of their steak, I always go for their beef cubes, it melts in your mouth! the shrimp is really plump and fresh, I love their polenta so much that I tried making it at home... bad outcome. Their sushi bar is pretty simple, but you can ask them to make you something special . They have a very delish salad station, one side you have the typical salad bar and next to it a station of variety of selection which is served pre-mixed. Their deserts speaks for themselves and getting a cup of coffee is a must! \r Sometimes service is slow if you are seated in the back or side corners, it depends where you are seated so if you dont like it, ask them to move you center front. Pros: Food speaks for itself Cons: Price more

Tons of selection, each made to perfection 4/2/2008

This buffet features grouped varieties of foods from around the world as well as a sliced meats station, traditional breakfast station, and outstanding self-serve icecreams and pastries from their extremely talented pastry chef. Best bargain in town. Pros: Food is outstanding, and so inexpensive for what you get!! Cons: A little noisy, like a cafeteria more

Be Forwarned and read the reviews! 3/25/2008

We went for lunch and the waitress was good, but that was all.\r \r The food was les than mediocre. It is the worst arranged buffet I have ever eaten at! Period! I use a cane, but can't when getting my food. I had to wait 15 minutes in the salad line to get to the carving tables. What a waste of time for what I got. The only beef was flank steak like and was so tough it was like eating a car tire and I could not eat it. The turkey was tasteless. I went back for some ribs and salmon, this time cutting in line, and the carver was obnoxious. He told a Vietnamese gentleman, that also cut in next to me, to go the front of the line, and when he did not, the server walked away. We waited and waited for another carver to come back, and several minutes later he did, but making rude remarks. The ribs were not even OK and the smoked salmon was like shoe leather. Again a waste of time for the pain, but no gain!\r \r I was expecting wonders when we went to the Bellagio Buffet from all of the hoop-la, but left wondering if we had gone to the right place. Extremely over rated, poor selection, far too costly for what you get and the layout is phenomenally poor. \r \r Salad bars are usually on their own island, but not here! It is as if they want you to get your salad and hot food all at the same time, cutting down on how much you can take. \r \r Be forewarned! If you have the same experience, you were told!\r \r I would never go back even if the price was a normal buffet price. I did eat a worse buffet once, the Imperial palace 20 years ago.\r \r Don't waste your money. But then again maybe dinner is better? more

Worst Service and Frozen Food 3/23/2008

Had to wait 20 minutes to get an ice tea. I told the manager , he replies, sorry. The crab legs were frozen hard. I had to chew the ice through crab meat. For $39. go have a nice meal or goo to the buffet at Rio, T.I., Wynn or even Circus Circus.\r \r Save your money and your stomach, skip the this buffet line Pros: If you want to waste time and money a good deal Cons: nothing more

Worst experience of my food life 1/7/2008

I have been waiting several years to try the Bellagio?s buffet brunch and was excited to during this trip. I was in Las Vegas with 4 other friends and we had a wonderful time and great meals. The food at the Bellagio was great, but I believe it made us very, very ill. Within hours of eating there (and we had eaten nowhere else that day) three of us had severe symptoms of bad food. We could not even keep water down for over 24 hours. The three of us had shared a desert, the bread pudding, that the other two had not tried. We were so sick that I am quite worried for anyone who might have been elderly and who ate at the Bellagio on that day. Pros: Great food Cons: made us ill more

A Lovely Buffet with Delicious, Fresh and Immaginitive Choices 1/5/2008

We went there yesterday for lunch. What struck me was the non-buffet feel to the rooms once you were seated. It felt like a restaurant. They even have a bar where you can sit and have your meal if you wish. Like everything in the Bellagio, there is great attention to detail and an overall feeling of luxury. The food was remarkably fresh. There was an excellent selection. I did think the service was a little on the slow side, but very helpful and friendly once it arrived. They had a good international variety of selections but also all of the American favorites and some entrees that were quite unusual (venison, giant artichoke hearts, two kinds of duck, pesto mashed potatoes) and the wonderful desserts that we always look forward to at the Las Vegas buffets (three varieties of mousse, all sorts of cakes, delicious chocolate brownies and cookies). Frankly, all of the buffets are about equally priced, so I think it makes sense to go to the better ones. more

Amazing range of choices and freshly-made everything! Not so great service. 1/2/2008

On a recent visit with my boyfriend and another couple to Vegas we thought we'd try the buffet here. It was slightly more money than the regular dinner buffet because it was the Holiday season. However, I think it was around forty per person. We had to wait in line for about 20 minute, which we were told would be an hour wait. This was at about 9:30 on the Friday night btw. Christmas and New Years, 2007. I had never been to a buffet before and some of the others in our group had been to several including the buffet at the Bellagio. We all thought it was delicious! The assortment of different foods and cuisines was really outstanding. We had a picky eater with us and she was able to find plenty of good stuff to eat. For the person commenting that it caters to Asians with all the Asian food, you must be joking! It was one of the smallest cuisines. I guarantee there was as much Italian cuisine choices as Asian. So ""whatever"" to that guy. Desserts were good as well. The best was the gold chocolate tart thing! D-lish! I don't think for the price that it was expensive at all. You can easily spend that on a so-so meal in NYC (where we dine often) and still not feel full. Our waiter was awful however. He was clueless half the time and rarely came to fill our drinks or take plates away. Both of the people who had been to the Bellagio thought this buffet was far better. I'm glad we went during an ""off"" time. We came back to another restaurant and passed by the buffet on that following Sunday evening....the wait time was over 2 hours!! It's good, but not that good. Skip the buffet if the wait is more than an hour. There are plenty of other good choices in the hotel, such as the cafe right down the hall from it called Terrace Point Cafe. Pros: Delicious food, freshly-made, great range of choices, wonderful desserts, good price. Cons: Really slow, bad, innattentive service. Often rediculously long wait. more

Is this really AAA 5 diamond?? 12/25/2007

I am writing this review from the hotel room. First let me just say how unimpressed I was at the hotel and the service.\r Checkin -\r Checkin took more than 30 mins. After a long 9 hour drive from San Francisco the last thing we wanted to do was wait another 30 mins to checkin to the hotel room. The lines were terribly long and there weren't enough staff to check people in.\r Once we were finally checked in, we had to walk through the casino in order to get to the hotel room. With such a crowded lobby and casino you can just imagine what a hassle this was!\r Room -\r The room is very dated. The television set is a 27 inch Philips flat screen (notice not flat panel). One door panel of the TV cabinet was missing and they just left the screw and bolt dangling. Again is this really 5 diamond? I've stayed in many hotels all over the world and this is the first time I've ever seen this! There were markings on the walls - just wear and tear I guess over the years. There were two chairs in the room which looked very dingy and worn. And to top it off one corner of the room smelled like trash!\r Bathroom -\r The bathroom is very spacious and nicely decorated. There is both a bath tub and a shower stall (the drain in the shower stall was clogged!). There is only one sink however.\r Overall, I had such high expectations for this hotel and had a very disappointing experience here. In all honesty for $100 less the New York, New York hotel was not much of step down from this room at the Bellagio. If you're looking for a hotel on the strip, I would recommend the Venetian. All rooms are suites, you get more for your money, and there is easier access to the hotel room without having to lug your luggage through the casino. Pros: large bathroom Cons: long check in times, long walk through casino to get to room, dated room more

Beautiful Hotel - Terrible Buffet 11/11/2007

There is a big difference on what they describe as gourmet on the east coast and in the desert. If you are coming from the east coast and have had the buffet at Harrah's in Atlantic City, DO NOT EXPECT the same thing. \r \r First of all I dont consider crab legs and quail as gourmet. And serving 4-6 different types of pizza doesnt really cut it either. They obvious cater to asian clients with a large sushi section. The decor was like I was dining in Circus Circus and not a upscale hotel. \r \r For $36 I expected alot more than what I got. The only bright spot was the BBQ Brisket and Prime rib. I have to agree with others when they say that the service was a bit slow. \r \r So my advice to others is if you have other options, take them first. If you feel like steak, try Alan Alberts on the strip, its located off the road a little right before MGM Grand. Pros: Non that I can think of more

A little bit of Everything 9/24/2007

It has everything you want, from seafood to burgers to sushi to pizza. It has it ALL. And its fresh not like other buffet lines where the food has been sitting there for awhile. I saw the servers changing the food constantly. They even had crab legs and shrimp during BRUNCH!!! I cant wait to go back. Pros: Great selection of food, Prompt service Cons: Long wait line more

One of the best 8/9/2007

The Bellagio Buffet is by far one of the best I have been to! The food is always high quality and freshly prepared. There is a wide variety to choose from which includes sushi, pastas, seafood, various meats, plenty of desserts and much more. This buffet is a little higher priced at around$27.99 on week nights but it is definately worth the money. Also it can get busy very fast so I suggest going to an early diner. My family and I went around 5:30 and we walked right in but once we left about an hour later there was a line up. Come very hungry and be prepared to taste new things! Pros: Excellent food, great service, worth every penny Cons: If you go later there is always a line more
