Service technician removed multiple panels to perform work mentioned above. Once problem(s) was located, technician prepared estimate and contacted shop for availability. Without any working knowledge of A/C units I agreed to estimate and allowed tech to start working. Technician then notified me that the compressor terminal kit for our unit was not in stock and could take multiple days to acquire, although he had a similar wire kit on the truck, we later learned that the wire kit was 3 wires and Bruno A/C charged us $221.00 this same kit is available retail at $36.29-$39.78. The wire kit was modified to fit our unit as the technician left the spliced off ends in the dirt around A/C unit. We were also informed that the compressor saver 3-5 ton was not working and it needed to be replaced for unit to work, we agreed to this compressor which Bruno A/C charged us $298.00 we later located the same product for $42.89.
Once the technician had started the unit and cold air was running throughout the house he started to reassemble the panels, the only problem with this part of the project was he could not located all of the screws he removed so he stated he had plenty on the truck. After reviewing the work we noticed that a total of 5 screws were missing, which would allow access to pest, by this time, the technician was long gone.
I called Bruno A/C to discuss with owner, did not receive a call back, waited several more days and called again, this time Louis Bruno answered the phone and told me he would call me back in the afternoon as he was having a "stressful Monday". It has been 9 days since that brief conversation and the owner has not called back to discuss or service issues.
In closing, if the owner is to busy to call back or even a representative from the company to address, pricing and lack of completed work, I can only suggest that you consider alternatives when selecting this company to work on your A/C unit.
