STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM NANCY AND BRIDAL WORD AS POSSIBLE! I don't even know where to begin… We ordered 5 Bill Levekoff bridesmaid dresses at the end of May for a mid-November wedding and were told they would arrive in early September. We chose to order through Bridal World because I had a bridesmaid that lived in Colorado and Bridal World offered to ship the other dresses for free to Philadelphia (otherwise it would have cost more to order them in Philly and ship them to Colorado). Totally not worth the $20 savings.\r \r We had not heard anything from Nancy (the incompetent owner of Bridal World) by the first week in September. My MOH called and Nancy said they would arrive by the middle of the month. By the last week in September we had heard nothing, so my bridesmaids and I started calling every day - no one would answer and we left polite (initially) voicemails asking to be called back. Her voicemail filled up after a week and after 10 days I finally told my husband who called daily and was finally able to get in touch with her by the beginning of October. Nancy said she had a personal issue and was out of the office, however she gave him her email so we could get in touch with her if she didn't answer the phone. She promised the dresses by the end of the week and said she would update us. She did not get back in contact with us and we again had to call/email her several times to get a response. This happened twice more, with her giving us a date they would arrive, promising to call us to confirm, then not calling us by the date SHE sent. The dresses arrived in Colorado the last week in October and to save time we had my bridesmaid fly them out to Philly. Again, my wedding was in mid November, so my bridesmaids had less than 3 weeks to get alterations done. \r \r In summary, we ordered dresses in May that arrived the last week in October, 7 weeks after the expected arrival date. AT NO POINT did Nancy reach out to us to let us know the dresses were late, she was impossible to get a hold of, and consistently gave us timelines that she didn't stick to or follow up with us about. Furthermore, she never once apologized and was actually rude to my husband when he asked her to overnight the dresses & provide tracking numbers when they arrived. \r \r STAY AWAY! MINIMAL SAVINGS ARE NOT WORTH THE HASSLE AND STRESS! SHE IS INCOMPETENT! \r \r I ONLY GAVE HER ONE STAR BECAUSE THEY DON'T LET YOU DO 0. more

This was the most horrible experience I have ever had shopping at a business. I wish i would have read the reviews before going in there. We ordered 5 bridesmaids dresses for my daughters wedding 6 months in advance!! I started calling end of May to confirm on dresses, she assured that they would be there by June 15. My daughter recieved a call 13th that she was not going to get the dresses. She was to send a picture of a similar dress to order and never did so. I tried to make an appointment to go in and look at different dresses as I already made a 500$ deposit. Never returned any of our phone calls!! Very unprofessional!! We had to rush and order somewhere else to get dresses in time for the wedding in July! When we went to other bridal shops they had heard of other peoples experiences with her and all were similar! Do not buy from this company! more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! I am so ashamed of myself for not reading up on this company before giving them my money. Nancy is terrible! I do not know how she is still in business. Check the BBB website, Yelp, Yellow Pages, anywhere really and you'll find out that there are a lot of people who have been treated badly and lost lots of time and money at this store. I wish there was a way to shut her down. more

Brides to be, stay away from this place! We had so many issues with this place,the wedding dress came a month later then we were promised. We ordered the bridesmaid dresses in January and we were not told until May that the dresses were discontinued and we could not get them, we had to find new dresses elsewhere because we knew we would not get any dress from Bridal World before the wedding, then the vail came 8 weeks later then we were promised, a month after the owner said it was delivered via ups but she missed the drop off. On our 5th fitting, the dress was just about perfect, only needed a few minor adjustments, Then we show up for our final fitting and the seamstress was a no show WITH the dress! No one would get us the dress for a week and when the owner finally got the dress it was in pieces. the owner told us that she would\r finish the alerations and deliver the dress a few days later, When we finally got the dress, the owner Nancy completely ruined the wedding dress, she made it 2 sizes too small and completely changed the back of the dress! We took the dress to 3 different bridal stores and they all said the dress was not repairable, We had to buy a new dress 2 weeks before the wedding, and Nancy refused to refund anything, not for the dress she ruined, not for the alterations, nothing! She completely denied any responsibility for her mistake! Nancy Pallozzi is the worst business owner ever! Don't shop at Bridal World, don't trust her, she does not deserve any more customers ever! more

This is the worst customer service!!! When we went for our fitting we were told that we had to pay $30.00 extra if we were over the size 16, well of course I was because I was 8 months pregnant and according to the sales lady I was not going to lose my pregnany weight by the date of the wedding in September 2012. I guess the sales lady is really smart to know that I was not going to lose any of my pregnancy weight huh? Then I ordered a $30.00 bolero jacket when I went for my dress fitting in April 2012 by the Cheryl did the order for a wedding. A week before the wedding I get a call saying my dress is ready to be picked up and was told that the jacket was not made but nobody knew WHY... I called and talked to the owner Nancy and was told that I had to return to get the bolero jacket special made hmmm. my husband and 2 other wedding party members were there with me the same day and none of us heard about me driving another 2.5 hours to Lakewood again to get the SPECIAL fitting for the bolero jacket. I told Nancy I was not happy with the lack of communication between the employees and clients and I was going to make sure people knew about the poor customer service. 5 mins. later I get a call from bridal world telling me that I need to pay my dress cash only. I guess because they thought I would put a STOP payment on my check lol. I would guess that has happened to them before, I wonder why? DO NOT deal with bridal world! did I forget to mention that I now have to find someone to do the alterations on the dress 5 days before the wedding because bridal world cannot do the alterations. more

The woman working said the woman who does the dying would be in later that day and would call and tell me when they could be picked up- I needed them by the 25th for my dress alteration appt., and they said this was no problem. Noone ever called, so I called the next day, and spoke with ""Cheryl,"" who said she would personally call with an update before she left that day since noone had bothered the day before. Well, she never called, either. On my THIRD phone call, I received no apology, but was told that I could pick them up the 25th. I showed up this morning to pick up my shoes (for my appt. TOMORROW) and the woman said ""I didn't get to them. I'm sure someone called you."" OK - first, noone called me EVER, despite my three prior phone calls. I explained how they were guaranteed to be done today because I cannot have my wedding dress altered without them, and she said I could go buy shoes somewhere else, then, still being incredibly rude. My patience was gone at this point, so I asked her (loudly) if she was aware that she had a 2 out of 30 customer approval rating (2!!!!!) and 12 complaints filed against the store at the Better Business Bureau. She responded with this gem (and a smirk) ""If you don't pay your dues with the BBB, it doesn't matter what they say."" Such concern for customer satisfaction! Not to mention, wholly inaccurate. She then kicked me out of her store because the other customers were starting to listen to me - I went to the security office, filed a complaint there and with the store's short-term lease holder (which I would suggest future victims of this hellhole do as well) and returned with security, at which point, of course, they processed my refund. I still have no shoes for my appointment, tomorrow. Bridal World - I hope you like this writeup, because you'll also find it on Yelp, Wedding Wire, the Knot, Yellow Pages, and anywhere else I can possibly find to post it. more

Don't do it! I did not head the warnings of others and I regret it! This store has one nice person working and the rest are plain rude. Making comments about the body shapes of my bridesmaids. My Dresses were Alexia Designs and they fell apart before the wedding even started. The dresses came in a month late and the shop was not very easy to deal with alterations. Was trying to make and appointment to get my daughters dress altered and nobody would answer the phones for over a week. Left many voice mails and nobody would retern my call eigther. I ended up having to ask someone else to drive to get the dress and bring it to Mexico because they were so poor at answering the phone. I had to walk in the store and making them speak to me. I had a few busty girls who spent the whole evening holding up their dresses because they were so poorly made and altered. Each dress was over $300.00 and can never be worn again. Had a seamstress at the wedding sew them at the last minute to keep them together through the ceremony. Don't add this stress to your wedding. It's not worth it!!! more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!! THE PRICES MAY SEEM GOOD BUT IT IS NOT WORTH ALL OF THE STRESS YOU WILL HAVE BEFORE YOUR WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could have rated this place at a 0 or in the negatives even, I would have. Nancy, the owner, is an awful business woman who makes the customer pay for her mistakes. I bought my dress from her with a contract that states ""We can only estimate when we will receive the dress and we are not responsible if it takes longer than 12 weeks. If the bride needs the dress in less than 12 weeks, we will assess a rush charge in the amount of $50. Please allow 5-9 weeks."" I rushed my dress, THANK GOD, because INSTEAD OF MY DRESS TAKING 5-9 WEEKS, IT TOOK 18 WEEKS!!!!! Her initial excuse was that I ordered it in September and it was now Christmas time, so that's why there was a delay--SERIOUSLY!?! You have to account for the holidays now when you order a dress 4 months in advance???? I told Nancy I didn't feel it was right that I should still pay the rush fee because it definitely was not within the 9 week rush time frame and her response was that she had been meaning to rewrite the contract and since she was charged the $50, I had to pay it. She DOESN'T ADHERE TO THE CONTRACT YOU SIGN, and eating $50 matters more to her than a happy customer. You pay half upfront and she ties your hands by saying that she will ""find something else to do with your dress"", and the dress came in so late that I was scared to find another dress. I also talked to my friends as this situation was going on and my girl friend said that one of her friends ordered her dress from them and DIDN'T GET HER DRESS UNTIL 2 DAYS BEFORE HER WEDDING!!! NANCY IS AWFUL, HER BUSINESS PLAN IS AWFUL, AND I TRULY HOPE SHE GOES OUT OF BUSINESS SO COLORADO BRIDES CAN BE SAVED FROM THIS AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

I went to several other bridal stores and was getting frustrated with the process of finding my perfect dress. Some experiences at certain sotres were worst than anything I couldve imagined (Davids Bridal)! Maybe I watch too much say yes to the dress....but I was picturing a similiar experience. After two weeks of looking I finally found Bridal World! It was by far the best service I recieved while I have been searching for my dress! I went in on Saturday and did not have an appointment. Luckily the owner was kind enough to fit me in in between two other appointments. She and Shar were both so friendly and kind. It was a great atmosphere and I had the experience I was hoping for. I found my dream dress and the owner gave me a great deal on it! I said yes to the dress and am so excited to marry my best friend! I would recommend Bridal World to anyone looking for the perfect dress and the perfect place! Thank you so much ladies!! more

I agree with all these bad reviews. We found the perfect bridesmaid dresses at Bridal World and put a deposit down. It took almost 9 months to get our dresses in. The first time they came in they were the wrong colors and style. By the time the correct dresses came in the wedding had been called off and the owner refused to let us cancel our order claiming she was going to take us court for the full payment of the dresses. if the dresses would have come in at the correct time we would have been happy to pay for them but after seeing this site it makes me wonder how many other problems we would have encountered. more

I concur with all the bad reviews that have been written and only wish I had checked this site before going to Bridal World. The owner was very pleasant and supportive at our initial visit, but once we placed our order everything changed. We ordered a wedding gown, 7 bridesmaid dresses and 3 flower girl dresses. The good news is that eventually we received all of them, but not one was sized correctly, everything was late, and every commitment the owner made was missed at least once. She refused to talk to us on the phone, and only occasionally would respond to e-mails. We spent several hundred dollars on alterations at another bridal store, negating any discount Bridal World gave us. We learned that she is not an authorized reseller for the wedding gown she sold us and are still trying to determine if it was authentic or black market. She refused to produce any official paperwork from the designer. She shows designs on her website that she is not authorized to resell and misrepresents her business as an authorized reseller of popular lines. We are in contact with the designer she misrepresented to us to try to help them take legal action against her. Our daughter was in tears 2 weeks before her wedding wondering if she was going to be wearing a knock-off dress that didn't fit right. A special thanks to The Bridal Collection in the DTC area for rescuing the dresses for us. If you are looking for a formal dress, go there. You may pay a little more, but it will be worth it. more

Do your home work and read all information about this place. I am sure you could find police and court records on this location. I would have to say buyer beware! I caution the business ethics of the owner and be aware of sudden policy changes that may occur conveniently to benefit the owner. If you have encountered a discrepancy with this place please file a formal complaint with the BBB but ALSO contact the Colorado State Attorney General?s office and file a consumer fraud complaint. Help other brides to be remain hurt free! more

The worst store ever! Don't go! 4/4/2011

Zero customer service, if you go their, guarantee you will be disappointed. Not on time, the price can go up at any time even if you have agreement paper. You may not get your dresses before your weeding date. I have never seen this kind of business. The owner, she can not communicate with customer. In her store ?she (owner) is comes first, not customers? I hope it will be closed soon, because of poor customer service. more

This is the most dishonest shop in the state of Colorado! If you value your money and your wedding STAY AWAY from this shop! The owner is less the honest. Poor Brides! 8/24/2010

I feel bad for all of the poor brides that gave business to Bridal World. I am lucky enough to read these reviews prior to purchasing from this shop. I was in recently looking at dresses, and was confronted by the extremely rude older woman working there. I have been to other shops (yes, even David's Bridal) and had a MUCH better experience there. She degraded me, and was plain rude. I am glad that people are giving this place bad reviews, cause it doesn't seem like the owner is doing anything to try to change the problems (other than denying them). Dear owner: MAYBE YOU ARE IN THE WRONG INDUSTRY! From now on, I will read reviews and scrutinize which ones may have been left by employees (or the owner). more

The service at this bridal store was horrible after my dress was ordered, I went in for my alterations ordered and paid for beading when I went back for my final fitting non of the beading was done and they had altered the dress horribly way to small in the bust area they said they could fix it so I left it with them and she had me come in three days before my wedding to pick it up. I walked in on that day and they were just then sewing the beading I had paid for a month before hand and when I tried on the dress it still fit the same way it had before, they had done nothing to fix the alterations. They then proceeded to tell me that it was me that was causing the dress to fit the way it was and said I had put on weight I asked for the measurements she had taken of me when ordering the dress to prove that I had not and she refused to give them to me saying she had already given me a copy when I purchased the dress. I then said I was taking the dress and leaving and they refused to give me my dress that was bought and paid for already after my brides maids getting involved and a mention of calling the police dept to get her to give me my dress they released my dress she said as it came in its original form, I immediately took my dress to another seamstress that turned the dress inside out and showed me where they had altered the dress lopsided and did a horrible botch job on the inside and with out me even putting on the dress identified right where they had sewed crooked causing the problem with it being to tight in the bust area of the dress, she took out the work they had done and had me put the dress on which now fit perfect and she altertered it perfectly to fit me in ONE DAY. The manner of the bridal shop and them not doing what they had charged for and then blaming me for their unprofessional alterations was a HORRIBLE thing to do to a bride three days before her wedding. I pulled my measurements out of my paper work and found that I had actually lost inches and when I pulled up the designers sight and went to their measurement area to check on size the size 12 that I had was more than big enough for me matter of fact my measurements would of fit in the size 10. I would not recommend dealing with this store to any one as it was the most horrible and upsetting moment I have ever had. Very unprofessional. STAY AWAY 1/6/2010

Wow, I wish I would have researched this store before buying a dress there. I don't have enough time to write all of the horrible things that happened. It was by far the worst experience I've ever had buying a dress. I am a size 0-2. When I went dress shopping, I was looking to buy off the rack to save money. The owner, Nancy, told my husband and I that any dress up to sie 10 or 12 would work. I said that would be too large, but she said, ""you're in luck, you've caught the owner and I am a wonderful seamstress and will give you a good deal."" I ended up buying a size 8 dress. It was a very simple dress and only needed taken in a little. A simple alteration. When I went back to try on the dress, I couldn't even fit into it! They took it in 6 inches too much! Again, the owner fed me a bunch of lines and said they would fix it. I went back and it STILL wasn't right. The dress looked horrible. There were holes all along where the seams used to be and marks and stains on the gown that weren't there when I bought it. The new seams weren't even sewn straight and it created a large pucker all down the dress. Again, the owner fed me a bunch of bs and I left without my dress. I returned again, only to find that the dress was still screwed up. At this point, it was the night before I was leaving for the wedding. When I asked for a refund, the owner said, ""We'll fix it when you get back."" A lot of good that's going to do AFTER the wedding! The owner now has my dress (that they ruined) and my money. To add to the horrible experience, she insulted me, saying that it was my fault. She said my body is shaped weird and my back indents inward! I could not believe this woman! Stay Away! Nightmare 9/29/2008

Where do I begin? They took 6 months and a week to have in the dress I ordered, that came in the WRONG COLOR and 9 days before my wedding! They never returned a phone call to update me on the location of the dress during shipment. I made several face to face visits that resulted in terrible customer service. I had to go buy a new dress days before my wedding at another salon. Bridal World is refusing to give me my money back for a dress that was ordered WRONG! They also ordered some of my bridemaid dresses in the wrong size and insulted the girls. They have not taken responsiblity for any of their glaring errors, and have no sympathy for the fact that they almost ruined the wedding day. STAY AWAY!!!! Pros: cheap Cons: wrong product,terrible customer service,lying employees more
