Job# 10695243-06-A Moving was a breeze thanks to the second-to-none customer service. Pickup and delivery was right on schedule, and loading/unloading was done seamlessly by the moving staff. Our original estimate was right on target. No surprises. Followup phone calls were excellent. Very satisfied with service. would use again. more

Super Happy Customer 7/9/2014

As we all know,we hear so many nightmare stories on moving companies.All I can say, our experience with All State Van Lines Relocation movers and their driver Victor and helper Alan was just one great experience. I will never hesitate to recommended them to anyone and if need be I will pick up the phone to call them now....but not yet. And I must add, they tried to make our move as stress free as possible and they did that 100%. I think that All State Van Lines Relocation's secret is that they are very professional,sincere, respectful and most importantly compassionate. more

Reliable Mover 7/6/2014

The mover came to my apartment on time (by saying "on time", I mean they arrive at almost the last minute of the window they scheduled. But never mind since it was still on time) and packed things well. It's a 4 and a half hours driving from Pittsburgh to Reston (for a car of course), this mover can get here in about 5 hours with a truck, which I really felt surprised. It seems they just won't let you wait overnight, if they can. more

Moving from MN to NC 7/3/2014

I moved from Minneapolis, MN to Charlotte, NC and my overall experience with the move was good. The only thing I would say, the customer support folks could be nicer. I was asking them to send me the invoice before I give them the credit card information and she raised her tone for no reason. When the truck arrived they were nice and helpful at pickup and drop off more

awful, horrible 6/27/2014

This company is just a broker. They lied repeatedly about the delivery date, leaving myself, 2 teenagers and a toddler stuck in a hotel for 5 days then in a house with no furniture as they continued to lie about the delivery date. 1st it was " it'll be there tomorrow, then they delivered to another family in your state and it took longer than expected, then the truck broke down, then it'll be there by sunday....on and on lies lies lies all the while it had never left Chicago., Had they just been honest, we could have planned better and saved money. They charged $375 to "crate" our Harley, when it arrived, the custom paint job was scratched and there was NO CRATE around it. They lost several of my childs outdoor toys, my husbands fathers painting, refused to accept a CORPORATE CHECK made out by my employer as it was not a "money order or cashiers check" leaving us to scramble as they threatened to not deliver our goods that they had already lied about and held hostage for 15 days ALSO, we rec'd a box of property that belonged to someone else, that contained gold and diamond rings. Yeah, imagine that familys FREAK OUT when they discover it's missing!!!!!. SERIOUSLY, go with another company, use UHAUL, but do not, I repeat, do not use this company. more

Moving to Georgia From Mississippi 6/26/2014

Job#: 10678027-06-A We used the moving company this past weekend to relocate my husband and I from Mississippi to Georgia. The movers were nice and fast. They came in and went right to work on moving two bedrooms, a dining table set, living room, a washer and dryer and a few totes. It took them a total of 4 hours and the next day they delivered our things to the new apartment in Georgia. It took them 4 hours to unload. The company exceed expectations and we were happy with everything. more

Time to Move! 6/19/2014

After breaking my collar bone I called All State Van Lines Relocation and asked them to give me a proposal to move from Hobbs, NM to Aiken, SC for a job move. They called me and asked me a ton of questions about what I needed to move and gave me quite a few pointers. They called me 24 hours before they were to pick of my stuff. Once they arrived the two movers got right to work packing my boxes and other belongings. They wrapped everything really well. They wrapped pieces that I wouldn't of wrapped if I had moved the same. Before they left the movers gave me an estimate of when they would meet me the following week in Aiken. After being delayed due to tire trouble on their truck they arrived to unload my things. Just as they had packed they unpacked by things. I was very happy with how they moved my things. I would recommend All State to all of my friends. more

Don't be fooled follow up! 6/19/2014

We still have not received our refund for over charging us more that 2000.00 dollars, although it was sent a week and a half ago (supposedly). Theresa from Allstate has been working on the case , but I don't think she has any more control over the situation than we had. Nothing has been resolved.as of this date almost a month later! more

My Move 6/19/2014

You need to have a list of all the contents of your unit/units when you move so that you will not have any surprises in cost at the end. If you do this the move will be smooth and swift. ABUSIVE MOVING EXPERIENCE!! BEWARE 6/19/2014

I filed complaint #142 with the BBB against All State -- BEWARE and read BBB and Yelp complaints, different specifics, same scam: I was misled about everything by salesman, given the bum's rush by movers at pick-up, tricked into a changed contract and bogus claims of 1,400 pounds overweight despite no major furniture or appliances. FIVE WEEKS AFTER PICKUP told I could witness a re-weigh, not given time to get there. Drivers took over 3 hours to arrive (a 45-minute drive) truck showed evidence of other goods having been off-loaded. The salesman ok’d credit, but now told I had needed to "Pre-arrange for credit approval at the time of pick-up," then extorted for CASH with the threat of my belongings put in storage with daily charges. All State colludes with their contracted carriers to jack up what your move costs, in my case by nearly 50%, then claim they have no responsibility to participate in the move. My horrible All State customer service person never returned calls on time, and lied. All State cannot have it both ways; they ARE a moving company & my manager sent an email promising to “Work with the salesman ensuring a smooth move”. The manager in charge sent 4 faxes in response to 12 faxes I sent with my concerns, she just kept repeating "All State strives to provide our customers with the best possible customer service" -- and did NOTHING. The game is rigged. I had considerable damage and loss. DO NOT USE. more

Horrible Service 6/15/2014

I had a bad feeling about the weight document they provided me. I told the Driver this is my 4th move in last two years. I would like to re weigh the truck after done unloading. Driver said closest weighing station is 60 miles away. I said alright but I still want to make sure that I am not being cheated. Driver said he truck weigh less than original then I will be ending with paying more money from my pocket. I said either way I will be fine. In the mean while I called one of our friend and he told me that there is a weighing station only 4-5 miles away. Driver agreed and I gave him the $3000 in cashier check and about $1680.11 on credit card.After unloading as soon as we walked out for weighing station he called his boss( dispatch station ) and some guy on other line start screaming at me that I should have told them this earlier and now driver came with the new story that they change truck on their way, so it is not the same truck and it won't weigh same. and after that he ran away on me. Please look into the issue. I had my full trust in you guys but I feel cheated and very disappointed. I also have a friend who witness this whole situation. more

I had a very positive experience with All State. They walked me through the process step-by-step from the time I signed my contract until the time my furniture was delivered to my new home. My agent kept me in the loop and always returned my calls when I had questions. I even received a refund after my furniture was delivered. I would definitely recommend using them if you have to move (which is a stressful enough experience to begin with). more

Positive Move 6/10/2014

I moved shortly after graduating law school in Richmond this past May. All State Van Lines was very helpful with setting up the move. They were also the least expensive option out of the 15 or so movers I contacted. With about 2 months notice, they were able to set me up with a move on the exact date I wanted to be out of my apartment. The mover's came at 9 a.m. that day, no problem. They packed my furniture themselves, with little help or guidance on my part. The furniture arrived safely in less than 2 days. I've gone through everything, not a scratch or dent. Would definitely recommend. more

My wife and I assisted in our daughter and grandson move from Ky to NV. The same packers picked up the and delivered the furniture and did a super job. We had to wait a little longer then we would have liked to have the furniture delivered, another truck have to be used to transfer the furniture because the trailer was to large, there were some problems in dealing with a subcontractor on the delivery end that were handled by the Allstate movers representative and there were adjustments in cost while the furniture was being packed that I didn't appreciate. I knew the weight I was dealing with and it turned out that the cost didn't change but the stress was there more

Complete Lack of Personal Contact 6/4/2014

I contacted several moving companies for my move out of state. All State Van Lines was the only one that did not respond until after the move was completed. Not only that, but since I have been in my new home, they have contacted me several times. I replied to their first message that I had already moved but apparently, they use an automated system so no human ever even reads their emails. Maybe that's why they didn't quote me on time. Stay away from this company. If they don't have humans answering their emails, who do they have moving the furniture? more
