The move was a disaster from the beginning. We had 2 home theater systems stolen. We were charged for 4000 lbs. more than we actually had. Thank goodness I insisted on a reweigh. The furniture was severely damaged and many items broken. The office personal was extremely rude. Often times hanging up on me or leaving me on hold for extended periods of time. Our belongings changed hands 3 different times .All State Van Lines, whom we contracted to do the move, subcontracted it to Vista Van Lines, who sub contracted it to Delpro. Our belongings were crammed into a semi trailer with 7 other families belongings. It is little wonder why all the damages and thefts. Being taken from West Virginia to Florida and placed in storage, then transferred to another company Delpro. We were not told that any of this would take place. When we contracted with All States we were led to believe that they would be doing the work. They told us that they do over 20,000 moves a year , when in fact they do none! They sub out to other companies and then tell you that they are not responsible for any damage or thefts after the fact. This is clearly false advertising! The only good part of the experience was the delivery men. They worked very hard and were extremely helpful. The dates we were given in the beginning were not correct. After my belongings were on the truck the estimate was increased nearly 5000 dollars. I was then told I would not be able to get them back without paying cash when delivered. I have filed a complaint with the States Attorney General and the BBB. I will have legal action brought against all of the companies involved. more

I will be surprised if this review makes it online! Our experience with All State Van Lines was as unpleasant as it could have been. Every time we talked to this company they wanted more money, including day of delivery. They would not unload the truck unless we presented, once again, a certified check! It took them 3 weeks longer to get from WI to NM than it took us. They lost 5 of our items, but will only reimburse for one. I packed our breakable, collectible items in sturdy plastic bins and labeled them as "Fragile". They smashed 7 of those boxes, but will not cover the smashed contents of those boxes because they did not pack them. Among the smashed pieces were several depression glass pieces which cannot be replaced, two pieces had belonged to my grandmother! A small cardboard box was packed with all of my Corningware, wrapped in bubble wrap. That box looked as though they had jumped on it, smashing every piece of Ccorningware I had. Again, they will not reimburse me for the items. They put a hole in our king sized mattress and will only reimburse for $60.00, Where can you replace a king mattress for only $60.00? They took quite large chips out of our solid stone bird bath that was hand made by my deceased father, which means it is irreplaceable, but will reimburse only $12.00. They chipped, and or scratched, our dining table, sewing cabinet,decorative shelves,TV tray, china cabinet, entertainment center, and patio table. They smashed my Nesco roaster and the slow cooker base. We estimated about $2,000.00 or more in damages but they are reimbursing only $327.30. It took them 4 months to review our claim and now we have to wait another 6 weeks for the pittance they are willing to send us. But we had to pay them Immediately!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! more

My wife and I assisted in our daughter and grandson move from Ky to NV. The same packers picked up the and delivered the furniture and did a super job. We had to wait a little longer then we would have liked to have the furniture delivered, another truck have to be used to transfer the furniture because the trailer was to large, there were some problems in dealing with a subcontractor on the delivery end that were handled by the Allstate movers representative and there were adjustments in cost while the furniture was being packed that I didn't appreciate. I knew the weight I was dealing with and it turned out that the cost didn't change but the stress was there. more

I had a good experience with the moving company. They were fast, courteous and there was minimal damage to my belongings. Thank you! more

I did a move from vero beach to columbus and I had a wonderful experience with All State. They were very professional, efficient and cost effective. Overall it was a 10/10 service. more

All State was great -- from beginning to end. I had one account representative who answered all my questions and was available whenever I needed her. The crew who showed up to do the moving was fantastic! They called when they got to town to give me a time to expect them in the a.m. They showed up when they said they would and had the truck packed up in no time. When they got to Cleveland to unpack they again called to give us a time to expect them. They had our furniture unpacked and placed in no time again. They were very professional, very quick, very friendly -- and not one furniture injury!!! We are very pleased with the job provided by All State Van Lines Relocation! I hope to stay put for a while but if I do have to move in the future, I'd definitely use All State again. more

All State did a great job. My husband and I would definitely use them again. The moving guys were so nice, quick and easy to work with. They were on-time and excellent communicators when it came to their expected arrival and what to expect from the process. They packaged all of our items very nicely and handled them as if they were their own possessions. I would recommend them to anyone who is moving. more

Three people with All State promised various dates and activities concerning our move, but none, absolutely not one single thing that we were promised did they do. They are just a broker who attempts to get a real moving company to move you; something that you can do yourself , have at least a little control over you move, and save a big commission to them in the process. We strongly suggest that you RUN, NOT WALK, away from these people as fast as you can. They are 100% undependable. more

The move was quick and easy once I selected All State Van Lines. They are very professional and the people who came to the house to do the move were the greatest. more

Had to move a very small amount of boxes and was planning to rent a U-Haul and drive across country. I decided to check if professional movers did small moves, and out of 4 calls I made, All State Van Lines was immediately responsive, immediately helpful, explained how their small moves worked and gave me an estimated quote immediately. No other mover called me back for at least a day. Before the move, All State assigned a QA and account manager in addition to my original sales person, all of whom called me back repeatedly to answer questions, get insurance lined up, explain the pickup and delivery timing and process. On pickup, I had 24 hrs advance notice from the pickup driver directly, who arrived exactly on time. The QA and Account Manager called daily until pickup, while the contents were enroute they called daily, and after delivery, they all followed up with me. Excellent customer service, customer care, and small move delivery. Highly recommend. more

I called All State Van Lines to help move my mother to Florida. They were several days late picking everything up and made it seem like we were nothing but an inconvenience. I will NEVER use All State Van Lines again!!! more

Sent me an estimate for enclosed transport, $1,400.00 from Midland TX to Eagan MN...showed $200.00 deposit. Upon accepting the deal I was informed that the deposit was actually $350.00. I agreed and was sent another written estimate. While on the phone finalizing the deal, locking in the date and such, I was told that there was a problem but not told what was going on. Upon being called back I was told that the price was actually for open transport, not for enclosed transport as was shown in the written estimate. I was further informed that the new price was $2,200.00!!!! Thank you ___ ___ for trying to cheat me. I can prove my story, I have the written estimates. I also found Mercury Auto Transport who is going to do it for $1,200.00. more

Avoid. they sub contract out the job to inferior moving companies. I had to wait 9 weeks before receiving my furniture. When it arrived it was damaged and broken. For example, the buffet had the legs literally ripped off it. The book case had a hole punched thru the back. All the furniture was gouged and scratched. Just hire a professional company and save time and aggravation. It will cost less in the long run. more

Allstate relocation did a great job of communicating by phone and email, this helped to better plan all connections. I had to relocate for work from Philadlphia area to Des Moines. My contacts at All State were professional and diligent in their follow ups. I considered a lot of companies for my California to Georgia move, including U Haul! One day I called All State and said they were the only option I trusted, and signed on. It was a perfect decision. They were easy to work with, and on moving day, the two gents that showed up were over-the-top helpful. No problems. Our things arrived in perfect condition earlier than expected! The whole experience was totally stress free. No extra charges and I paid less than I expected. They are honest and reliable and easy to work with. more

We had abruptly decided to move from San Diego to Reno, NV. Two weeks before the move I contacted several companies. We decided to move the week before Christmas. It was difficult for any company to have our precious items in Reno before Christmas. We begged and pleaded with several companies, but almost no company could guarantee that our items would be dropped off before then...but All State some how came through and got our items here the following day on Friday. They went above a beyond. more
