I had a lot of coordinating to do for a move from Missouri to Virginia. I was flying in and had to pack, meet with the movers, and fly out a couple of days later. The team was efficient, quick, and the move was economical. They were in and out in less than three hours in spite of my location on a second floor. That said, I did have a problem since I changed the delivery location and had to send it to the only email address I had at the time. Make sure you work with your move manager for coordination and also, you should number your boxes; I didn't. The original delivery could have been within two days (AMAZING!) but like I said, I changed the drop off and they were ready to drop off my stuff but I sent the info to the person who set this up initially. I didn't believe they could move things so quickly so it was my fault. I'm sure others have had similar and different experiences but I would be happy to hire this team again! Communication was excellent and my calls were returned quickly. They adjusted the schedule to meet my needs, which took about three phone calls on deliver day but the delivery took less than 90 minutes and off they went. Thanks for the great move! Job#: 10740636-06 Moving is among the most stressful things I've ever done, but the people at All State Van Lines Relocation, Inc. helped make it a success. Initially I went online to get an idea of what it would cost to move from Erie, PA to Ashburn, VA. Dates needed to line up with our closing in Virginia and our household sale in Pennsylvania. Receiving countless responses to my internet inquiry, I found that Erika from All State was the most helpful - it was just like talking to a friend. She answered all my questions so professionally and educated me about what to expect. I called several local moving companies for estimates as well. They did on-site inventory evaluations which matched what Erika was able to do over the phone. But Erika was able to target the pickup and delivery dates we needed which the other companies could not do. After esigning the contract and paying the deposit, we had account coordinators working for us to make sure everything would fall into place. As we were heading back to Erie after our closing, Glass City Movers called to say they would be coming between 3 and 6 the next day. I had never heard of them but they were professional and got everything placed in our condo without incident. It is such a relief to have the move completed and I feel grateful to All State for making that happen. more

The pick up crew was adequate. They did a good job of wrapping up the furniture Only one major thing (glass lamp) was broken upon arrival. The office staff was horrible - lied to us several time about where the driver was. Didn't call back promptly. Could not pin down a delivery date. Delivery was 5 days late. This was extremely inconvenient. The delivery experience was horrific. There were only 2 men - the driver and a young worker. The young worker was amazing. Strong, helpful, polite. The driver had an attitude from the start. Expected us to identify furniture still wrapped in blankets - telling us "It's your furniture". He refused to put boxes in the rooms where they belonged. He insisted on piling them up high in one spot, even when I asked him to make the piles lower so I could reach them and carry them myself into the right room. Fragile boxes were brought in upside down. He would put furniture in a room but did not take off the shrink wrap. Furniture was pushed flush to the wall so we couldn't get to outlets. We found empty tape rolls after they left. As unprofessional as they come. more

THIS COMPANY CHANGES IT S RULES AS IT FELLS IT FITS IT NEEDS. I HAVE A CONTRACT AND THEY CHANGED THEIR RULES AND WON'T ABIDE BY MY CONTRACT. I AM MOVING IN 2 DAYS AND IF I DON'T PLAY THEIR GAME THEY WILL NOT MOVE ME. THEY ARE BASICALLY HOLDING ME HOSTAGE AS I DON'T HAVE TIME TO FIGHT THEM. THEY LIE AND WILL NOT RETURN YOUR CALL IF YOU COMPLAIN. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A 5 DAY CANCELLATION POLICY BUT THEY CAN CHANGE THEIR RULES IN 2 DAYS. WHY? AND THEN AT THE LAST MINUTE THEY WANT ANOTHER 50% DEPOSIT AND BEWARE THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE YOUR DEPOSIT SO THEY ARE REQUIRING 2/3 OF THE ESTIMATED TOTAL DOWN BEFORE THEY WILL PICK UP MY STUFF-I HAD OFFERED TO PRE PAY THE WHOLE MOVE AND THEY SAID NO BUT NOW THEY WANT MORE MONEY. more

I took a Amtrack to New York where I met with the young men who were like meeting with my family, They were so careful of me and took control of the packing like pros. They in all did a wonderfully excellent job even in delivery of my goods. It was the respect and care they showed and as in young men you rarely find. The delivery was good and my heart didn't even flutter , my things were taken care of well. more

They never represented themselves as brokers, until after the contracts were signed. Their initial estimate was over a $1,000 lower than what I had to pay. The delivery was supposed to be no later than a Sat, instead it arrived on Sat. For which, I had to arrange for a third party to receive the delivery, and the late date, interfered with the third party's schedule. The trucker left two pieces on the truck, which wouldn't be delivered till 3 days later. Again, I had to arrange for the person to meet the trucker at my house to accept the delivery, again paying someone for their time. AllState refused to reimburse me, instead told me that I would have to seek indemnification for this from the trucking company they arranged, for which of course I didn't have a contract with since my contract was with AllState. Unethical behavior! more

Everything is good, except only one person come to unload my staff. My piano pedal is broken by only one guy to move it. But I have to say the company has good services, packing professionally, label in order everything. more

Your company made our move from Colorado to Texas so much easier and more convenient for us. The movers helped load all our things on the truck and ensured our stuff was taken care of properly. They arrived in Longview with our belongings in a timely manner and we are grateful. Thank you!! more

All State Van Lines moved furniture from my deceased mother's home to mine. They moved vintage furniture including a grandfather clock made by my father. This is all I have left from my childhood home, so it was important to me that it be delivered without damage. I was satisfied with the condition of the furniture upon arrival. All State maintained contact with me throughout the process and met all established time commitments. I would use this moving company again. more

To me this is a company that just runs a help-desk to take your credit card details to charge a deposit and then tell you that they cannot help you with anything once your stuff is picked up. Pretty much all they do is take your money. Totally disappointed with my move from Boston to Minneapolis with them. They were quick on assurances while booking, made a quote based on inventory and conveniently doubled it once it was picked up. One would think professionals would be able to estimate right. They delayed the delivery and never bothered to offer compensation or reduction of dues. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone for the kind of service and total lack of professionalism they showed and the angst they caused throughout the moving more

Allstate Van Lines Relocation did a great job for me. I started the process several months before I was potentially going to need their service. They didn’t pressure me to hurry up and make any decisions. They just let me go at my own pace. They did a great job of remotely helping me to estimate my fees. The move went exactly as planned on the schedule I planned with them. The weight of my household goods went over the estimated weight only slightly causing me to own slightly more than estimated. The only issues I had was that the movers showed up late in the day to pick-up my household goods and therefore worked very late into the night. That was stressful. However, they delivered exactly when they said they would. Again, though they arrived late in the day and unpacked until late into the night. I would definitely use them again, though. more

We contacted Allstate for across-country move from California to Indiana, and being new to this industry, I had alot of questions. This process was made simple by the folks at Allstate, and Eric Robinson showed extreme patience when dealing with me, and I truly appreciate his time and effort! We were given a date to expect delivery and to our surprise we were delivered a week earlier than expected. There was a small amount of confusion regarding a check, but given the situation, everything went smoothly. I moved from Springfield Mo to Colorado Springs CO in June. My belongings had been in storage for six months so I had no idea what was in there. They did a good job of estimating the weight. My items arrived on time and in excellent condition. All persons involved were friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend this company. more

The people are friendly but I had to wait 3 weeks passed my delivery window. I was consistently told that my things were only a couple of days out when they were apparently in a storage facility somewhere. The estimate they gave me was so far off that I had to pay over 30% more than they quoted me, by that time it was too late and no choice but to pay. Was difficult to get updates on the whereabouts of my things. I was still made to pay full price upon delivery. I was told that something will be worked out, but its been a week since delivery and still no word. I'm sad that I spent so much money for the services rendered. I'm sad that I paid to use this company. I should have rented a uHaul truck. more

We were accommodated by this company as we needed to move right away. They made a way for it to happen so quickly. Horrible 'service'. If I could give a zero I would! I contracted with ASVLR for my car to be transported a month prior to my move (contracted in May, move end of June) and my car has STILL yet to be picked up. The sales representitives are not through and the customer representives have been giving me the run around since my 'estimated' pick up date range. This company is not professional and you would be making a HUGE mistake trusting this company with your move! more
