Best

We went to Virgilio’s with another couple for their New Year’s Eve winner pairing dinner. I have been to a few wine dinners but this was by far the best. We started with a aperi...

Worst

Service is not very well trained and seemed hurried at times. The food is on the average side, but WAY over priced. Might be worth trying again on a slow night, but I am not...

What a fantastic place for SW Littleton 11/7/2010

What a awesome place for Littleton. I love wine and pizza and Virgilio's Pizzeria & Wine bar have the best of both worlds. The pizza and garlic knots are the best in the state. The wine selection by the glass is fantastic over 60 I think. The bar is beautiful and the outdoor patio with the fire pit is amazing. Happy hour from 11 to 6 everyday and late night. Live music on Friday and Saturday. No need to drive downtown with this place around. You must check it out. Oh yes the homemade Italian cookies are amazing also. more

Unbeatable! 9/9/2010

I have to admit that although I am 20 years out of college, I still consider myself a pizza-holic. There was a time in which any pizza was as good as the one previously devoured. Virgilio's changed this for me. I actually experienced disappointment the first time I ate somewhere other than Virgilio's! No one compares to Virgilio's according to my palate! Happy eating and garlic breath to you all... more

NY in Denver 6/14/2010

I love this pizza! It is the best NY style pizza in Denver. The joint is quaint but know that if you don't have a party of four you won't be seated at a 4-top. There is attitude just like the city...eat and get out! It's fine with me don't much care to linger, you can feel the owner's eyes burning in the back of your head if you stay too long. Definetly invest in one of their connoli's it's fresh and delicious. Pros: Food Cons: Owner could be nicer more

Love this place! 5/28/2010

There are some real demanding people. this place gets busy on the weekends so deal with it. People ate lined up because they love Virgilio's. The quality is second to none. There pie is the closest to the real deal that u will find anywhere in Denver. Also try the pinwheels, knots and burrata. more

Absolutely the best NY Pizza in Denver 4/12/2010

Absolutely the best NY Pizza in Denver!!!\r \r Just down the block from BelMar, in the same strip mall as King Stooper, is a tiny corner pizza joint with some of the best pie West of the Mississippi -- OK, I may be exaggerating, but Virgillio's did cut it with both this NY/NJ -ite .\r \r What I liked about this joint is that you can 1/2 and 1/2 the pie without problem. I like white, he likes red sauce, We asked for the following pie:\r 1. Crispy Thin Crust\r 2. 1/2 Quatro Formagi ( 4 cheese), basil and garlic, no red sauce.\r 3. 1/2 Dean Martin, red sauce, real bacon, basil and garlic.\r \r The pizza was fantastic. The servers where awesome and this place just has a great feel about it. We also had the Burrata a creamy goodness of mozzarella and cream OMG amazing stuff. Don’t forget to add a plate of prosciutto for $4.00. Nice wine list also.\r Pros: burrata, pizza, garlic knots, hot mozz, spinach pinwheels Cons: very busy, limited seating more

One of the worst pizza's I've had 4/4/2010

I ordered online from this business 2 wks ago. The online order said it would be ready in 30 minutes. 50 minutes later we received our order. I asked about the garlic cheese bread we had ordered. They told me that order was not received. They offered to let me wait for another 10 minutes. It was by far one of the worst pizza's I had ever had. It was so greasy that you had to take paper towels to sop the grease up. I was so embarrassed. I thought I would try something new for my brother who was visiting. It was $23 wasted. Cons: online order was wrong more

Fantastic food, small place 3/26/2010

I read about Virgilio's in the Denver post. This little place is busy to be prepared to wait at Dinner. I don't know where to begin. The garlic knots and spinach pinwheels amazing. The owner came and told us about a special on the prisoner wine for $40 what a deal I paid $45 at the liquor store. The pizza was fantastic, crispy crust, tangy pizza sauce and the best cheese since leaving NJ. Our server Krista was outstanding. 10 stars for the food and service. BRAVO!! more

Customer Service 3/23/2010

My fiance and I ate at Virgilio's last night. We have been there a handful of times in the past year, because it was close to where we lived. Last night, the customer service was the worst I ever had at any restaurant. We walked in the door and it was busy. However, there were 2 empty tables. One table could fit 4 people, and one was slightly bigger. We were the only people waiting to be seated - NO ONE WAS BEHIND US. We were told that we couldn't sit at either of the tables and would have to sit at the bar or wait for a table for 2 to open up. We chose the bar. The waitress moved the owner's laptop from the seat that she wanted me to sit it... even though there were other seats at the bar. So, I sat in the seat she told me to sit in, and realized that I was directly next to the cash register. I couldn't even move my arm without bumping into her when she was at the register. And what was worse is that the orders that the cooks were handing her over the counter had to be delivered to her right over my shoulder. I felt like I was in the way, and was very uncomfortable. Then, the owner came over and saw how she moved his laptop, and started yelling at her. She was on one side of me, and the owner was next to my fiance. So they were arguing over us. I felt totally stressed out. Then, our food arrived. Almost $26 for 2 chicken parm sandwiches, and they barely had any chicken in them. The chicken was very thinly sliced. It felt like I basically ate a bun that was loaded with sauce. As I ate, I watched a party of 3 sit at one of the tables we wanted. They only ordered a pizza. I'm sure our bill was a lot more, yet we weren't even given a table. From the moment we walked in, I felt like they were so busy that having us even walk in was an annoyance to them. I'll never go back. I have never felt like this in a restaurant before -- like I was an inconvenience to them when I was giving them my business. Pros: Not sure Cons: Customer Service, Food more

Best burrata ever. 3/15/2010

First of all Virgilio's is small so, like the previous review don't complain if u don't get your pick of seats. I love the back corner booth and the bathrooms are around the corner? whatever Virgilio has added Burrata to the menu. OMG!!! This stuff amazing. Homemade mozzarella stuffed with more mozzarella and heavy cream. I must say one of the best foods in my life. I read that Virgilios is opening a huge location at c470 and Kipling. I can't wait since I drive from Highlands Ranch. more

Great Food/Horrible People 3/4/2010

I was reminded of Virgilio's by a recent article in the Denver Post. It brought back bad memories of our last visit. We were regular customers. We used to drive from NW Denver just to eat there. My husband and I wanted to take his cousin there. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. there were only two occupied tables. The waitstaff directed us to the back table by the bathroom. I asked to be seated at another table and was told that that table was for 4 people. Huh? There were 3 of us. Then, the owner came over and explained that the table was for 4 people and there would be families coming that would need the table. It was 3:00 p.m. no customers waiting. To this day, I regret that we did not just walk out. If it had just been the two of us we would have. Instead we sat by the bathroom door and later vowed never to return and whenever someone asks us if we have been there we tell them about our nonsensical experience. Pros: Great Pizza Cons: Rudeness more

Best Pizza In DENVER!! Great Staff!! 2/2/2010

I don't know where to start about this little neighborhood restaurant. First the staff and Virgilio are awesome period. You need to go in on a Friday night and sit at the bar and watch this kitchen go at it. Everyone performs like rock stars. The pizza is by far the best in this state if not the west coast. The crust, cheese and sauce will bring back childhood memories of your favorite pizza. It's not just pizza!!! Must try, Verde Salad, homemade hot mozzarella, spinach pinwheels, garlic knots, baked ziti, homemade lasagna and the clam pizza. I love the feel and warmth of Virgilio's. Virgilio is always there and is a great hard working person. I support the independent over a chain any day. Just a note this is NY Style Pizza, not flat bread or gourmet cracker pizza. Old School NY PIZZA with huge slices dripping with oil from the best cheese down your arm. Pros: pizza, garlic knots, hot mozzeralla, spinach pinwheels Cons: very small and only one location more
