We went to Virgilio’s with another couple for their New Year’s Eve winner pairing dinner. I have been to a few wine dinners but this was by far the best. We started with a aperitif (aperol), the wine selection was fantastic, the dinner was a feast for a king, the dessert and port was amazing and we finished with a digestif (lemoncello) wow!!! On a night that was very busy the service was great, our server Jared was the nicest young man who was always checking on us. We made our way to the bar where the band was and just had a ball. I really enjoy this restaurant, the cork walls are really one of the coolest I have ever seen. The wine bar is beautiful and the owner has always stopped by to say hello. There is nothing like Virgilio’s without going downtown. Remember this is a family restaurant so try to sit in the bar area or the room with the tin ceiling next to the bar (less kids). Thank you Virgilio for a fantastic meal and a great New Years Eve. We will be back next year.
