Water heater leaked today, December 24th, guys arrived 5 pm and moved furniture, cleared the way,installed a new water heater,gave me a lot of great tips on maintenance and the proper way of reporting the damage to my insurance co.\r Special Thank You for checking and protecting the pipes outside to prevent those from freezing at 33 degrees outside!\r Oh, did I say that they cleaned the working area better then it looked before!\r \r Professional, friendly, true Christmas gift! Over a year ago, July 3, 2015, I had Eric D. and Tyler come to my home to fix a drain issue I had. I was having a party the 4th of July and it was a big deal to my husband and me, therefore needed immediate attention. They arrived and immediately went to work on what I called the ""roto rooter"" procedure. This was a long and horrible process which produced black unimaginable sludge, and that would be putting it politely. These two professionals, Eric, the service specialist; and Tyler, the apprentice; did not make any mess in my house, wore their ""booties"", put down their rugs under their tools near the sink and work areas. They went under the house, in the ""crawl space"" to check the pipes to insure that there were no leaks. At the end of the cleaning of all the ""sludge"", Eric went over what had been done and what preventative measures we could take in the not to distant future to protect our aging home. Not taking his advice to heart, here we are today, January 4, 2017. Yesterday afternoon, during of course, one of the coldest days of winter this season, one of the pipes he warned us about, decayed through behind the wall of the drain in the kitchen sink, spilling into the crawl space and running out onto the back patio and freezing. I immediately called Southwest Plumbing telling them that I had to speak to Eric. They told me that they would schedule an appointment with Eric. I say : NOT GOOD ENOUGH! I MUST SPEAK TO ERIC, HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO UNDERSTANDS! They said they would call him and give him the message. Eric calls back in an hour, remembers us and asks if we can wait till 8:00 am. No problem. His apprentice has been out sick all week so Eric completes job SOLO.\r I will never call anyone but Southwest Plumbing / and I will never have anyone but ERIC D. in my house... debbie b more

I often see posts asking who people recommend for plumbing, painting, gardening etc. I have a company that just displayed the POOREST customer service I have ever experienced so I am advising you to stay very clear of South West Plumbing. We waited a day and a half, rearranging scheduling, appointments etc to accomodate our service ""window"" only to never get service and be put on hold over 30 times on the telephone. Ugh, no bath or shower since last Friday, you can probably smell us from your own home:) more

I was extremely pleased with having South West Plumbing do my job! I called in the morning and actually talked with a person to schedule an estimate. Brent and Drew were able to come that same afternoon to try and clear out a pipe that was backing up. They went under the house, gave me an estimate on the spot, and actually had the time and materials to put in the new pipe right then! I was impressed right away that they wore foot covers in the house. (The previous plumbers smeared mud all over my floor.) They were polite, efficient, and thorough. They detected a rusted through pipe the previous plumbers missed. They showed me pictures about any concerns, explained the process and answered all my questions. They were neat (making sure they used towels) and cleaned up thoroughly (even taking the pipe the previous plumber left.) I had them complete the previous plumber's unfinished work since they have not returned my calls. Brent also worked hard to try and figure out another faucet situation I had. I would not hesitate to hire them to do any plumbing jobs in my future! more

I'm 72 and a retired pastor. My wife and I scrape by on Social Security and have a small amount of savings. We recently had a pipe that wore through and caused a water leak. We called South West Plumbing because we had used them before and found them to be fair-priced and friendly. I should have known things had changed, however, when I contacted their dispatcher after the plumber missed the promised two-hour window for arrival at our home. She was rude and lied to me, saying she had phoned me several times and left several messages. I verified my telephone number with her and it was correct, but I told her that I had received no calls or messages from her. She replied by telling me that she would not send a plumber if I didn't answer the phone! About an hour later two plumbers arrived at our home and looked at the problem area. They quoted $2,300 to fix the situation by removing the old pipe and installing a new one made of plastic. Later, they found an additional pipe that was broken behind the kitchen sink which they also replaced for an additional $1,300. We paid a total of $3,600 for the work they completed in about 5 hours. After reading other reviews on Yelp today, I contacted a local plumber and explained what needed to be done. I did not tell them that another plumbing company had already completed the work. He quoted me a flat rate of $1,250 to complete the work (time and materials). That means my wife and I overpaid South West Plumbing to the tune of $2,300! I trusted South West Plumbing and paid the price. We are elderly people who simply needed help; they helped themselves. Shame on them! more

Baking day arrived...and the kitchen sink backed up--again! I was dead in the water (so to speak) and called South West Plumbing. They are always our first go-to for plumbing needs because of their speed and efficiency. I lucked out and was able to get same-day service. Ronald and Kyle arrived and had the clogged pipe cleared in record time. One thing I like about SWP is that they go above and beyond--they checked further down the line than they needed to just to make extra sure there weren't other problems lurking further along. They also gave me quotes for related work--a set of piping that felt brittle and may need replacing before too long, and a service they offer, should the clog re-occur within a few months, that uses different equipment and does a more extensive job of actually cleaning out the pipes. Good to know as this is a somewhat older house and more problems down the road are a pretty sure thing, so it's good to know what to expect price-wise if you need to have it done. more

I had a wonderful experience with Abel yesterday. They were so friendly, quick, competent, I would highly recommend them. We thought we had a serious leak - it turned out to be not so serious thank goodness. Abel and Ryan fixed it right up in just a few minutes effortlessly. I'll happily give them a call next time another problem comes up. more

Southwest Plumbing is the best, honestly, there is no need to call anyone else. They are fast, reliable, affordable and beyond polite. We had a messy situation; Reed E. and David J. were extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. more

Overall I would recommend them if you have done the majority of the heavy labor yourself and need to bring in a professional for a quick fix. They were right on time, easy to schedule an appointment with, and very professional. more

I was in distress. I woke up at 6AM and discovered one of my cats was missing and the heating vent cover had been moved aside. I called down to him and a faint mewing confirmed that my cat had indeed fallen down the heating vent.\r \r To top it off I went through my back door to get into the crawlspace under the house, closed the door behind me while still in my jammies, and effectively locked myself out.\r \r A friend and I walked to the Fire Station a couple blocks away and got the phone number for Southwest Plumbing from the Dex phone book. We gave Southwest Plumbing a call and a woman named Theresa answered the call, realized our distress over our cat, and had someone dispatched within the hour.\r \r Evan Pauls and his assistant arrived within the hour and got the specifics of the situation. They then went immediately to work. They were very prompt and professional -- my friend even commented on feeling bad about sending them down into the dirty basement since their uniforms were so clean!\r \r Evan Pauls and assistant looked at the heating unit, opened some panels, and found my cat sitting in the return vent. They put it all back together for me, changed the filter, fixed the other vent we had opened before calling them, and saved my cat! I am ever, ever, ever, EVER so grateful to Evan Pauls and his assistant, as well as Southwest Plumbing!\r \r Evan Pauls and his assistant were so knowledgeable, polite, punctual, and just immensely awesome.\r \r At the end I turned to ask about the bill and Evan shrugged and told me not to worry about it. Later Theresa, who took our initial call, called us back to check and see if we had been able to get the cat out of the heater.\r \r I am very grateful for the good fortune of such a professional and thoughtful crew - including the professional crew dispatched to my residence and the woman on the phone - all of whom made a truly chaotic and stressful experience much more personal. I am truly relieved the crew was able to get him out and that he is doing okay. more

Had a leak in my main water line running up to the house, I dug a hole and found the leak, thereby making it plenty easy for any plumber to get to and repair. South West came through with the fact that I called at 9:00 PM (when most places are closed and you'd get a voicemail) and they scheduled me for an appointment at 8:00 AM the next day. The guy called me at 7:00, said he'd be there between 8-8:15, and showed up at 8:10. I had a $69 coupon (direct mail suckered me in since I needed this repaired ASAP) and the repair took an hour or so and cost me around $200. more
