We sent our request for specific Subaru model/requirements to several dealers in So Cal. South Coast Subaru came back instantly with a promise of an online quite within 4 business hours. Well, after 2 days nothing, my request to the salesman for action and 2 days later still nothing. Finally, someone contacted us and invited us for a test drive and gave us the name of a salesman who would take care of us. When we arrived at the designated time, a bunch of people ran around in the lobby, no one stopped to say hi, what do you want. They all just ignored us. After about 20 minutes of that we were ready to walk out. I finally cornered one and ask for the guy who was supposed to deal with us. However, he pawned us off to someone else.
Then sales associate Arthur showed up with his assistant Randy. I must say Arthur was very nice, professional, but the star of the whole experience was Randy, who was not in sales but handled the technical side of the car.
We finally ended up buying a model on the lot, and again Randy spent as much time with us as we needed to test drive, demonstrate the various features.
I have to say that Randy deserves 5 stars, Arthur (a little pushy) 4 star, and credit manager John Scholz 5 stars.
Overall, we were satisfied with our deal and the treatment we received.
Since then we brought our car back to get the Perma-Plate protection, and I must say that Service Manager Matt was great. If he continues to treat us like this time, he deserves a 5 star rating also.
