I am disappointed!!! 12/18/2012

I AM DISAPPOINTED!!!!! Bought a brand new furnace two years ago. After the first year and cleaning the fan was not tighten properly causing it to wobble and hit the sides resulting in a seized fan. I have the parts warranty but not the services warranty. The service would have been $800-900 to fix. The manager deemed it an error while the cleaning was completed and waived the service fee. Great I said. Year 2, this "cleaning" resulted in a "faulty" oil primary control. The tech said it was a $300 part (again covered by the parts warranty) but the service fee is $162, this time I had to pay. So two for two, I get hit with fees and costs after having purchased a brand new furnace. I realize furnaces do not run forever, however I should not have to pay to fix problems each and every year. I AM DISAPPOINTED!!!!! to say the least. My only hope is that Sobieski does the right thing. Is this a bad furnace? Is this a lemon furnace? Built in guarantee for work? Sobieski credited our account for yesterday. They agreed that it would seem "fishy" that something didn't work after/during the cleaning when it was working before they came out. The manager will now looking into an extended warranty that will cover the service costs as well. About $400-$500 for the remainder of the 10 years. About 8 years left. Warranty is transferable. Still doesn't answer the question of whether or not this is a reliable furnace. I'm satisfied with this particular case, however it still leaves me in wonderment of the quality of the unit. more

Excellent Service 12/5/2012

I just have to tell you how pleased I am with your service today. Monte, my plumber, was able to repair leaks in my shower stall drain, my bathroom sink, and repair my leaky toilet! I was really impressed with Monte's work: he was extremely professional, responsible and knew exactly what to do to solve all my plumbing problems. I highly recommend Sobieski Plumbing! They're the best! more

New Furnace/Air Cond 11/30/2012

Great service from these guys. I needed a new furnance and upgrade to my air conditioner. Sobieski had someone out right away and the new system in place in days. There was no rush due to the time of year but they indicated that they could do it right away if needed. more

Well, our serviceman with Sobieski Services is Steve. He is always on time and comes whenever he says he is going to. He calls first and comes exactly when he tells us he is coming. If he says 9, he's there at nine. He is thorough and efficient, very knowledgeable, polite, and clean. It's just a good experience. We have been very satisfied. In fact, we just switched our dehumidifier over to them. more

$120 spent to give me a lecture and not fixing problem a requested 8/28/2012

Dear Sobieski, I had a service call on saturday the 25th. The service person advised that a homeowner needs to check an A/C weekly if it is installed in the attic and that I am responsible for frequent checks. Well, $120 and 36 hours later I had a serious water damage. Luckily I called a competitor who actually showed and explained the installation problem with my A/C and then actually fixed it ! RESPONSE FROM Sobieski Services, Inc.: We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that was caused to you. Thank you for bringing the issues to our attention. This type of feedback enables us to provide better training to our technicians. We were very pleased with the service, however, the phone contact asked us some simple questions to see if the air conditioner was working but did not ask us to go to the boiler to see if the power switch had been inadvertently shut off so the entire trip was not necessary. This question needs to be added to the list! more

Completely satisfied 5/29/2012

A very professional and courteous young man named Steve came to fix our AC. He made sure I was aware of the service charge and he also explained in detail what the problem was and then outlined the cost and waited until I gave him the ok before proceeding to fix it. He covered his feet each and every time he entered the house and when he was finished with the repairs, he showed me the old parts and explained exactly what he had done to fix the problem. I was very impressed by his professionalism and his politeness. Should I ever need any other repairs, I will be sure to call Sobieski again. more

Sobieski Services, Inc changed a faucet in my master bedroom. The only problem I had with the service is that the dispatcher was supposed to call before the technician got here and they didn't do that. Other than that everything was fine. Early in April we had an ill draining kitchen sink. I called on a Saturday and was offered an immediate service call. I opted for a Tuesday, with smaller fee and a day I could plan to take off of work. Monte was the plumber that arrived with a first call; he arrived at 8 am as promised. He took special effort to loosen the drain. However, he was unable to do so, without first removing the kitchen cabinets and eventually jack hammering our slab to get to the pipes. That being said, he arrived at 8am and left at 8pm. We have worked with other plumbers in the past. One visit (with another plumber) took three separate days to replace a water heater. It seemed to us that Monte took special effort to do the job and do it correctly. I also feel like he took into consideration the amount of time I had to take from work to be home for this work. Just after lunch time Mike the manager came to drop off the jack hammer and see what work was needed. Overall I feel like they both cared not just about the business but, about our home and life. Even when I placed a claim into my home owners insurance Mike took care of itemizing a list for my reimbursement in a timely manner. If we need any other work done in the future (which I hope doesn't happen) I will call Sobeiski and I will ask for Monte. Thanks to everyone! more

High level of courtesy and competence from the first phone call to the completion of the job. Joe is a great representative of the organization. He suggested a more economical and convenient way to replace our filters and UV lights. Noticed that a small sensor was malfunctioning and replaced it. The reason that I did not respond to your initial request for a review was that you sent it to me before the service was performed! more

Reliable, professional, good work 4/3/2012

I received estimates from several companies for my new electric heat pump system. Sobieski had the best price, and most efficient system for the money, so I went with them. Their installation team was very professional, courteous and quick. They removed my 21 yr old system and had the new system installed in 1 day. The new system has been working perfectly, no problems. I would recommend them. more

I had replaced my heating and air conditioning unit several months ago. Unfortunately the area around the wall where the lines enter the house was not sealed and I found out through my exterminator that I now have mice and a 5 foot black snake in my basement. After speaking with Rick Norris, Install Manager, he came out the same day and repaired at my request. more
