Service Legends

We were not happy with a recent appointment for ServiceLegends free estimate. Overall feel of the presentation was " give me a contract and I'll gaurantee your house will be warm". In our opinion they are marketing temp comfort and not selling the equipment. When pressed for a price the salespersons price was several thousand dollars higher than other estimates we have in hand. more

I just bought this whole system from Service Legends maybe a year ago and I got two free checkups with it to make sure everything is running the way it is supposed to. I thought the service technician that came out on one of those free checkups was very knowledgeable. Any questions I had he was able to field, and he answered them very, very adequately. I can' say enough about the service! It was better than adequate! My wife as well, we both were clearly satisfied. Service Legends has amazing service! I'm in the customer service and technical support business as well, definitely not in the air conditioning business, and the huge thing that we strive for is customer satisfaction. Regardless of whether there is a resolution or not, we make sure the customer understands and enjoys the experience. The reason I say that is because Adam from Service Legends was very, very patient, and he explained everything to me. He explained why I might be having problems, and how I can troubleshoot them. Most contractors come out, do their thing, and charge me. No home owner wants to spend tons on their house, but I was absolutely happy to spend the money if I understand what's going on agree that it is a major malfunction that needed to be repaired. My condenser unit failed during the hottest week of the summer so far. I called the Service Legends and had a technician at my house within 2 hours. 2 hours later he had my system repaired and running like a champ. Derek Pike, the technician, was extremely professional and knowledgeable and performed the necessary repairs quickly and with a friendly informative demeanor. I had an air conditioning unit go out, and found Service Legends in the phone book. It was late in the day when I called, and they had someone out the very next morning. They were able to diagnose the problem, and walked me through the whole process of exactly what had gone wrong, showing and describing everything along the way. They then explained my options--in terms of performing repairs versus replacing the unit, and the various choices therein--and by the end of the day we had reached a satisfactory solution. The technicians with Service Legends were very prompt and courteous, professional and helpful. I felt comfortable working with them, and having them in my home. They didn't leave that day until I was completely satisfied, with all my questions answered and with me feeling at ease with what they were going to do. I made the mistake of calling another heating and air company before getting in touch with Service Legends, and had a bad experience. Save yourself the trouble and go to them first. They will take care of everything, and you won't be disappointed. more

Everything went fine with Service Legends. They were really great about going above and beyond. They could not do the installation for about a week, but they did everything they could to make sure my existing air conditioner would run until they could do it, which I thought was really great of them because it was really hot that week. I thought they were excellent. When they were here, I met quite a few service guys. All but one were excellent. They were professional, considerate, and really good. The only thing, and I think I've told them this, is that I wish they had something to put on wood floors. They have something to cover the carpet, which is great, and they were really careful. I was just so concerned, as I have a dark, dark wood floor and it dent and scratches easily. That would be my main thing. Other than that, everything was very good. The day went fine. It took them a long time, but they did really good work. more

I was more impressed with Service Legends, in terms of their expertise and service, that I have been with anyone else that I've worked with. They really have exceptional personnel, and it's clear that whoever is responsible for hiring and training knows what they are doing. In fact, what sold me on Service Legends more than anything was just conversing with them. I read a lot of customer reviews, and subscribe to consumer reports, so I do a lot of research before selecting a service. With Service Legends, the proof is in the pudding. I first brought them out last fall to investigate my furnace. They made an excellent impression, and so I had them back out in the Spring to check the air conditioner. Both appliances were going on 20 years, so I just had them install brand new units. I will say though, that before I decided to upgrade, Service Legends did a great job with the old ones. When a component was unacceptable, they would evaluate the problem with sophisticated equipment and show you the results. They would only repair or replace something once I was completely aware of what was going on. They make sure you understand the what, and also they why. They are also very patient when explaining things. Ultimately, after they had informed me as to the condition of the old units, I decided to go forward with an upgrade. They then were able to provide the best possible equipment, from a quality as well as economic standpoint. Everything was top notch. It's a big improvement, there's no two ways about that. I am confident in their work, and know that if any issues do arise, they will take care of them. Service Legends are exemplary. more

The gentlemen from Service Legends that came to the house to do the installation were both very professional. They took plenty of time, so I never felt like there was a rush or anything, and they explained how everything works. My basement was actually cleaner when they left than before they got here! Wow! Thank you! I swear, I'm electronically challenged, and the really nice young man that came to the house and did this helped me a lot. He explained things with the furnace and the new programmable thermostat, and I really appreciated that. I dealt with another company before and I would never go back to them after dealing with these guys from Service Legends. It was a much better experience! more

When we bought a new townhouse, we had a home check done and the inspector left us a packet with Service Legends Heating & Cooling information in it. So I gave them a call when I had a thermostat installed and a service check done on our AC. Our service technician was going to be running late, so they gave us a call to let us know so we wouldn't be sitting around wondering. Adam arrived and was very friendly and courteous. For two years I was enrolled in the service plan with Leechman Service Legends. Each and every time they came out, they were polite, respectful, knowledgeable and ALWAYS willing to take the extra step to make it a great service experience!! Against my wishes, we had the competing company install new furnace and air conditioning units, BIG MISTAKE!!! To the other company, customer service is only important until they have the money in hand. I would give anything to go back in time and buy the furnace and AC from Leechmans because I KNOW that they would be upstanding and honest for years to come, and...I know that the staff from Leechmans won't ever drop the "f" bomb at anytime while working in my house. The other company had people that looked like they just stepped off of a prison bus and talked like it too. Even now as I tried to get a simple request fulfilled, I have been disappointed once more! I should have insisted on getting the new units from the Service Legends!! This has been a costly mistake that I will never make again & I'll be sure my friends don't make the wrong decision either!!!! more

The people at Service Legends Heating & Cooling came at the time they said they would. I had some air conditioning problems and my niece had used Service Legends Heating & Cooling earlier in the summer. I have seen a couple of their trucks around my neighborhood. Adam explained everything thoroughly and he didn't act like he was above me. They explained everything they needed to do. They didn't have a part that was needed on hand so they went ahead and got it. Everyone I talked to seemed knowledgeable and friendly on the phone. Now everything works great, and my air conditioning is working right now as we speak! more

Service Legends is just beyond excellent. We had a furnace and an air conditioner put in, and they covered every detail. The reason I think they were beyond excellent is their integrity as a company. They guarantee that if you are unhappy for any reason, they will deal with you. If you're not happy, it's free. I would never have those expectations of anyone, but that just shows how they stand behind their work. Every one of their employees is just excellent. They are all very mannerly, and I never hear them say anything derogatory. They explain everything that they're going to do, right down to the last detail, even before coming in. They also give you plenty of time to make your decision, and they don't pressure you at all. Again, the primary thing for me was their integrity. They stand behind their work. Every employee matches the integrity of the owner. They do not hire employees that are second class: everyone meets their expectations. If nothing else, they are strong in their willingness to learn and uphold ethical values, and that means a lot to me. Service Legends Heating & Cooling came out and inspected my furnace and air conditioning unit. I was having some problems with the air conditioning unit, and I wanted to see what I needed to do. They came out and looked at everything. My service technician, Dominic, was awesome. He didn't seem like he was in a hurry, even though it was Friday at 5PM on Easter weekend. The only thing is that they didn't call to tell me they were running behind. When he came in he was very friendly and very knowledgeable. I don't leave service men alone in my house, so I went with him to watch everything. Dominic explained everything and showed me what was happening. He showed me the cameras and explained how they worked. He was very friendly with my pets, even as they kept interrupting him. When we went outside to get some of his equipment, he even helped me bring in my trash bin. He also talked very highly of Service Legends and his boss. It was excellent. He was here from 5 to around 7:30. He took me outside to show me temperature readings, and he told me that my furnace is very good. His service was very thorough. Dominic even thanked me afterwards for talking with him and being with him while he worked, even though I was basically looking over his shoulder. I want to know what people are doing in my home. I know that Service Legends is very customer focused, and I also checked out their BBB rating. I am getting a couple estimates for work, and Service Legends is going to be one of them. more

Service Legends is great! I was a gas serviceman for 29 years, and I did anything to do with lighting pilots and all that, but I'm kinda old for the new day furnaces. Now, they have hot service ignition and I don't know much about that. I had to have this book that showed me the last year or two of changes and how to do this, and check that, but these guys came in here and knew exactly what to do. They started by cleaning my vents. The guy here before, a real young kid, kinda tall, but I can't think of his name... anyway, when the guy came to clean the vents, I thought I smelled gas downstairs, and I had checked all my fuel lines using the tools I had, but I couldn't find a thing, so I had them take a look at it. They came and took the door off and found the gas leak, right at the end of the valve that goes into the furnace. I have nothing but good things to say about Service Legends. They can come and be in my house anytime, because they know what they're doing. I'm happy with them being here, and I'm happy with their service. I'm a happy customer! They know how to treat the customer. They come in with a very proper manner, and when I pay my money that's exactly what I want, and if I don't get it, I'd be the first to tell you, because I'm that kinda guy. If I didn't like what was going on, I would have kicked them out of the house, called up the company, and asked for someone else. I demand good service, because I pay good money for it, but I'll tell you what: they can come to my house anytime, because these guys are great! Ray Edwards more

Service Legends was on time and professional. They explained everything in great detail, and they had answers to all my questions. They were very affordable as well. They also follow up with phone calls, and every time someone has come out, there has been excellent follow up with someone calling to find out if everything is okay. more
