Purchased a new furnace in March of 2012. Seemed like a lot of money to repair old furnace. I think it was because of the tier pricing they have. Service tech was very good. Unfortunately the timing was bad, but it is what it is. New furnace install went fine, installers were very good. I had a service tech out a couple of times after install for minor issues. When they came out to check my air conditioner a few months later, everything was fine except for one part they said may not make it through the summer and would be $250 to fix, again because of their tier pricing. Again, timing not good, but didn't want the air conditioning going out in the middle of summer. I thought the price was ridiculous for a part that took 2 minutes to replace. A few months later, I called them because the air flow in my house wasn't very good in parts of my house. They came out and told me my duct work was to small. I asked why that wasn't brought up when I bought the furnace, but don't remember getting an answer. I did however, was told that I had another part that may not make it through the summer, but this time I told the service tech that I would take my chances. Next, Nic came out to check out the airflow situation. His suggestion was to put in another vent to my living room for $150 if I didn't want to put in larger duct work. I declined. This spring when it was time for the air conditioner to be checked, they called to set up an appointment and said it would be 3 weeks before the could come out. When that day came, they were suppose to be there by 1:00 and I received a phone call at 1:30 saying they would get someone there as soon as they could. Not sure what time they got here but they were close to 2 hours late. When the tech got here, we discussed things that had been going on here since the furnace install. Now I get another story on what I should do. He made some adjustments with the dampers on the ducts and that seemed to help with the airflow. Also, he said everything looked fine on the air conditioner. Apparently, that other part I did not replace last year was not bad after all. Who knows, I don't . While he was here, he put new batteries in the thermostat for me. I made the comment that I hated that thermostat from the start. He asked me if I told them and I told him I did and all they did was tell me how much I should like it. He told me he would talk to them about getting it replaced. That was May 8th, and I haven't heard a word from them. No follow up at all on this service call. What, to many questions, not enough answers? I don't know. At first, I thought the service was great, and would recommend them to others, now I don't think so. In closing, I think the maintenance agreement they offer is not so great. It does save you money if your buying a new unit, but if your using it for service twice a year, it isn't so great because your paying $240 a year for it and what does it cost for a cleaning twice a year? And if you need parts replaced?
