Our main sewer line backed up and after 2 days of trying to fix it ourselves, we had to call the experts. When I made the call to Rotor Rooter I was told a plumber would call me between 4:00pm to 7:00 pm. Only after a couple of minutes from making the call, Mike the plumber called and said he was on his way. Considering I live in Houston, I never expected him to call me so soon. When Mike arrived he got straight to the point and told me what he thought the problem was. Within a short period of time, Mike was able to open the line. Since then, all is well. Thanks Mike! more

I CALLED ROTO ROOTER BECAUSE MY GARBAGE DISPOSAL STOPED WORKING,THEY MANAGED TO SEND A THECHNITIAN RAYAWAY,THE GUY DID EVERYTHING ON HIS POWER TO MAKE THE DISPOSAL WORK BUT I KNEW IT WAS BEYOND REPAIR,HE WAS VERY PROFETIONAL AND GAVE MY SEVERAL OPTIONS I WAS VERY SATISFYED WITH THE SERVICE HE EVEN CHECKED THE WHOLE SISTEM AND DETECTED A COUPLE OF PROBLEMS THAT THEY CAN CREATE A BIG PROBLEM IN THE FUTURE AT NO COST AND THE BEST WAS THAT THEY DON'T HAVE A SERVICE CALL SO YOU DON'T FEEL THE PRESSURE TO FIX IT WITH THEM THEY GIVE YOU THE OPTION TO REQUEST A SECOND OPINION FROM ANOTHER COMPANY,THAT ITSELF GIVE YOU ASSURANCE THAT THE PRICE IS RIGHT AND THEY GIVE YOU WARRANTY ON PARTS AND LABOR,DEFINITLY I'LL CALL THEM IN THE FUTURE FOR MY PLUMBING NEEDS more

We had spent all morning and most of the afternoon waiting for another company. However, when we called Roto-Rooter, we got a fast response and within less than an hour, Robert had arrived. He was personable and professional, and resolved the problem. Even though we didn't ask him, he noticed that we don't wear shoes in the house and removed his shoes without us asking. This is outstanding service and thoughtfulness. more

I live right near the loop in Houston, Tx and had a plumber come out to install a gas line to my dryer. When he got there he noticed that my water heater was not up to code and informed me that it was a serious problem safety wise. I am renting the house and did not realize what I had. With his help throughout the house I got the landlord to fix and pay for all the needed repairs. I owe the guy because I had a 7day grace period to find issues in the house and I doubt I would have ever figured the things he showed me out and would have had to pay all the repairs eventually myself and also the safety factor since I have a 4 yr old son. His name was Mike and I would recommend him anytime and roto rooter for coming by within an hour of calling them. Great service> more

I called the Roto-Rooter office at approximately 9:30am for help with a leaking kitchen sink pipe. The phone was promptly and pleasantly answered and I was informed that a plumber would be dispatched by 12noon. No one showed up so I called again around 12:15 and asked how much longer before the plumber arrives, the operator apologized for the delay and informed me all the plumbers were busy and it someone should be there in about 30 to 45 mins. I called again after another hour went by as no plumber showed up. Again another apology and was told the plumber is on the way. The plumber did not show up till 2 hours later. Once the plumber arrived he was professional and did a good job. Although I do understand that jobs could take longer than expected resulting in plumbers being late for appointments but how about a call to let the customer know what is going on and give the customer the opportunity to decide if they will wait or look for someone else especially if it is an emergency plumbing need. There is also the option of a discount to help make up for the delay. Other than the lateness, the service was okay. more

At 1:30am in the morning we realized we had a leak in our upstairs bathroom that had soaked into our ceiling drywall. The leak was actually coming from the back up pipe from our AC unit. We called Roto-Rooter for the first time and they were out in within 2 hours! Even when they did not have someone in our area. Our plumber Ricardo immediately focused on the problem and provided us with a quote instantly. Once we agreed on the quote, he got to work immediately. We were so pleased with the quick response, but more pleased with the plumber and his excellent work that saved us hundreds of dollars! Having just returned from the hospital after having our first baby, the master bath toilet had a constant water leak. Having to turn the water on and off after each use was an annoyance and sometimes difficult. After our first sleepless night with our new baby, we called Roto-Rooter to see if they could fix our toilet. Thinking we would have to wait until late afternoon or the next day, we were pleasantly surprised to find out they would be coming in the morning. Just after we hung up, we received a call saying someone would be right over. Mike Harris, the technician, was at our home in a few minutes, assessed the problem, and really, in about 15 minutes, he was done. Mike is good at what he does, he was meant to be in customer service work. It is nice to have a friendly individual with a sense of humor. Upon leaving, he repeated to call him directly if there were any problems and he would be back to check if another problem arose. Thanks Roto-Rooter for such quick and efficient service. more

We had a bathroom sink that went from slow one day to completely blocked the next. We made a call to Roto-Rooter and even though we were asking for a Labor Day weekend date, there was no problem. Mike H. came to our home, promptly and in very good humor. He proceeded to quickly and efficiently unblock our sink, letting us know that our A/C drainage was part of the problem. He checked other sinks for the A/C drain, letting us know which ones to treat with the cleaner we got from him. He gave us excellent instructions on maintaining our drains. He also gave us pointers related to outside faucets as well as some other plumbing questions we had. He did not try to talk us into anything, but patiently explained things that he thought we should watch for in the future. We've got Mike H. on speed dial; we know who to call the next time we need plumbing help and we have already passed his name on to friends! Excellent technician and we could not be more pleased with the service! more

Saturday night of Labor Day Weekend I went to the garage and noticed water leaking from the hot water heater. Sunday morning I called a plumbing company I had used before, left a message and waited 30 minutes to hear from them (Still have not heard from them) I then called Roto-Rooter, the technician arrived at 12:30, the technician (Denton) was very personable and answered all questions. We called Roto-Rooter for the first time, on a Sunday, and they were out in 3 hours! Our plumber Ricardo said he was going to do everything possible to fix it without having to take any brick out of the house which would have been a very expensive fix. And he did! We were so pleased with the quick response but more pleased with the plumber and his excellent work that saved us hundreds of dollars! We will use them again and refer to friends and family! My sink was filling up in one of our upstairs restroom with clean cold water. Who do I call? Roto-Rooter's plumber in Houston, TX. They came ASAP and fix the problem. They were also very honest. Thanks Roto-Rooter. You guys are the best. more

The Roto-Rooter Plumbers are the absolute bomb!!! I couldn't see us getting through this absurd costly situation without them... We had a clogged up sink - totally clogged - 30 years of fat... practically cement! The clean out valve also just happened to be inside the house... total horror! Thanks to the creativity and innovative ideas of Hidajet and his colleagues, Jim and Gregg these guys actually were able to save the day by unclogging the lines and saving us about $3,000.- It all started when the flow of water in the kitchen came to a complete halt and was just backing up. The first plumber who came - Monday night - worked diligently for 2 hours and said, with great regret, that he couldn't do it... we need a camera man. Hidajet followed up on Tuesday and worked at least 5 hours trying all kinds of ways to resolve the fat issue, but to no avail. Unable to leave us stranded, he called in his camera man, Jim and they tried to reach the clogg from the main line - with camera and jet. This too didn't work because they couldn't figure out where the tie in to the main was... Totally frustrated and disappointed that we were still without a KITCHEN, they brainstormed possible options. Hidajet came up with a possibility - run a pipeline from the clean out in the kitchen to the outdoors and see if the jet could break it up from there. Wednesday, Jim and Gregg showed up to put the plan into action, Hidajet couldn't help but stop by after work to see how things were going... Needless to say, our home - with 2 - 3 Roto - Rooter trucks in front of it for 3 days in a row became quite an attraction for the whole neighborhood! These guys made it happen without tunneling under the house to lay a new line from the kitchen to the main... boy were we extatic!!! So, if YOU should ever need a plumber in Houston - don't even think of anyone else - Call Roto-Rooter, these guys are creative, polite, and they KNOW their business! Roto -Rootor Plumbers Houston 8/10/2011 - Had our a/c drain back up into the upstairs lavatory which overflowed. Called one plumber who sent someone on overtime yesterday. Guy gave up after an hour and said he called the office and they would send someone else. Didn't hear back from them for 2 hrs so had them paged and they said they weren't planning on sending anyone else. In the meantime, no a/c. Called Roto-Rooter Plumbers of Houston, they gave us a 4-hr window, guy showed up in less than 2 hours and stayed for 2 hours. He was very courteous and although he was not able to complete the job at the time he was able to clear the line enough for us to turn the a/c back on. He explained we needed to run a camera through the line to see the exact problem. They had someone here promptly this morning, very knowledgeable, courteous. Both techs explained everything very well. more

We had a Shower which both stems (Hot and cold) needed to be rebuilt. The Pumber explained every step that needed to be done, and within 30 minutes he had the job completed. There where no suprises no drama and We are very happy with the results. more

Our kitchen sink needed to be replaced. After trying to do it ourselves, we quickly realized that it was out of our league. So I went to Angie's List (where we have an account) and searched for plumbers. Roto-Rooter Plumber of 2500 Central Parkway Houston came up first and after seeing how highly rated they were, I called them. I was told that they would be here within 4 hours. This was a Friday night...so I asked, "are you sure?" They assured me they were. I told them it was only for an estimate. I was told that the plumber would arrive to give me an estimate and be prepared to do the faucet switch if needed. Dispatch kept calling me with updates on their ETA which I thought was wonderful. When they finally arrived, they at 8:30pm (this was not an emergency call) they gave me the quote and explained what needed to be done. Even though it was more than I anticipated, I wanted it repaired. It took them close to 90 minutes to complete the faucet switch because our supply lines and valves were corroded and needed to be replace as well. The master plumber and his journeyman answered all of our questions and were very friendly. Before leaving, they checked for leaks and made sure all of our questions were answered (they were). The master plumber even left his cell phone in case we had any problems. I called five different plumer services around Houston, two wanted to charge a fee for an estimate ($75)!!! Roto-Rotter not only had no charge they were her within 2hrs. Had my plumbing fix in less than an hour. Great service with an affordable price. more

I called several compaines in the Houston / Spring area and they all gave me a 2-3 day wait. No weekend service! I called Roto-Rooter and the Plummer came the next morning as promised. I was a little nervous because I have not had to use a plumbing service. The gentleman was very nice and gave me helpful hints. It was a little pricey but well worth it. It was Sunday night and I had a clogged kitchen sink and tried for hours to unclog it with a plunger....nothing would budge and the line backed up in to my dishwasher which started leaking. It was a HUGE mess! My husband was out of town for the night and I knew I'd never hear the end of "How many times have I told you not to put pasta down the disposal!". I called Roto-Rooter bright and early Monday morning after realizing they provide 24-hr service and someone was there by 9am that morning. Being that I am a fairly young female, I was hesitant about being at home alone when someone came, but when the technician arrived, all my uneasiness faded quickly. Freddy was so personable and informative. He was there to do a job and did it with such great ease. While he worked we chatted, but it never slowed him down. By the end of his visit, we were showing pictures of our children. i would highly recommend Roto-Rooter to friends and family...and most definately will request Freddy if I ever need anything. more
