Roto-Rooter Plumbers (Sunday February 13, 2011) 2/13/2011

Our hot water heater burst at about 1:00 am today (i.e., last night just as we came home from an evening out.) An inch of water had already accumulated on our floor (carpet side and cement side ... a real mess), and was still gushing full bore. We called Roto-Rooter and the representative talked us through a water shut-down. Then at 8:00 am this morning Mike (the plumber from Roto-Rooter in Covington, KY) showed up, laid out our options and by 1:00 pm today, we had a brand new, life-time guaranteed 80 gallon water heater installed and running. Mike was extremely professional, a terrific plumber, and very helpful with a variety of recommendations on other aspects of the overall clean-up etc. Thanks Mike, great job. more

Recent service by Roto-Rooter 2/10/2011

We recently had a need to have a drain fixed that was causing water in the laundry room to back up into the bathroom toilet. When I called Roto-Rooter was very accomdating to coming out to work with our schedule. He arrived on time (called 30 minutes) ahead and fixed the problem, or so we thought. About a half hour after he left we noticed the issue was still there. We called Roto-Rooter back and they had their guy come back later in the afternoon. He was very thorough and did some additional work at no charge to get the problem fixed. We would use Roto-Rooter again. more

Service Call 2/9/2011

Called on Sunday, Feb 6, to set an appointment for the next day. The dispatcher was very pleasant and gave us an approximate time frame between 12-4. She called about 3:30 and said he was running about an hour late which we said was fine. Sean, the technician, arrived at 4:30 with a trainee. Both presented themselves well. They attempted to fix the slow drainage of my three toilets and a leaking shut-off valve. Sean explained that the toilets are old (30 years) and would need replacing to perform correctly. When they were fininshed and about to leave, I discovered that the shut-off valve was still leaking. Sean had the trainee come back and replaced it. Sean was very polite and tried to answer all my questions. Would call Sean again. more

He was very efficient and the job was done quickly. This is the third time I've used this company service and have always been pleased. Roto-Rooter Covington 1/30/2011

Called Roto-Rooter around 10am and by 11am they where at our home. After listening to our issues our tech an his trainee had givin us their idea of the problem and a quick estament of the cost. They quickly began working. With in no time, they had finished thier work and everything cleaned up. The quote they gave us was on the money and they explained ways to prevent this from happening again. I would use them again and refer them to my family and friends. more

Not very impressed. 1/25/2011

The service was ok at the Covington KY branch. They did fix the problem and help with a few other small things that needed to be done; however, they also busted a line in the process and made a mess. They did replace the line; however, wanted to leave without cleaning up the nasty mess they made all over the floor and furniture. When I asked them to clean it up, they did a horrible job cleaning up their mess and now I'm having to clean it up myself to keep mold from growing and to remove all the sewage from my basement. Overall, not very impressed; however, I understand this could have been just one of the plummers and not how all of them opperate. more

Roto Rooter was here within 1 hour of calling and a man named Curtis came to our door. He was very kind and kept the area he was working in very clean. The problem was taken care of very quick as well. We are very satisified. I will definately roccomend roto rooter to my friends and neighbors. thank you so much. more

Roto-Rooter To The Rescue 1/11/2011

After two week of carrying water from the kitchen sink to the bathroom to discard everytime the sink would fill up, and turning on the garbage disposal the water would drain in my washing machine. Im behind in my laundry by to weeks, and I can't even wash my collard greens, my two year old grandson Khalil enjoy so much on a weekly basis. I had a friend to come over with a drain rooter, he didn't get very far a couple of feet, he kept hitting a corner, this went on for about three hours. Enought I said this is when I decided to my trusted plumbing service Roto-Rooter. Nick got there around 11:30 pm, and he got busy. I had my fingers crossed. I listened from the family room. Nick called me from the kitchen, he said Virginia I got through the clog. He showed me the cable when he pulled it out of the drain. It looked like black oil. I purchased the Roto-Rooter drain cleaner, he said use it monthly inwhich I plan to do. Nick saved the night, he got the job done, and I an OH so happy. more

Roto-Rooter.....What amazing service! 1/4/2011

Two days before Christmas we had a crisis requiring the services of a plumber, so my husband called Roto Rooter. We evidently had a clog in our drain to the sewer line, which kept EVERYTHING from draining.....what a colossal mess! But Jimi from Roto-Rooter arrived within an hour and worked like a Trojan for over 2 hours. I was amazed not only by his knowledge and professionalism, but also by his unfailing good humor....while in the worst of circumstances. I will recommend Roto-Rooter without hesitation in the future! On 12/30/10, while preparing for New Year's Eve Party, discovered a leak from bathroom into Family Room ceiling. Called and problem was solved! Had two other plumbing issues resolved while he was here. Service was quick and courteous!! more

Roto-Rooter Saves the Day 1/1/2011

On 12/31/10, in the afternoon, while getting our act together to leave for Florida on 01/04/11, we found that the sewer drain had backed up into the basement. We were planning on going out for New Years Eve which complicated EVERYTHING. The technician arrived at 5:00 p.m. (Invoice No. 16055759) and looked at the problem (tree roots in the lines). He explained exactly what could be done then and to try to eliminate problems in the future. It only took him about 1 hour to clear the line and we were then able to take showers and get ready to celebrate the New Year. We were so thankful for his knowledge and help! What a blessing! We were able to enjoy our evening without concern. It also helped relieve our minds as to our coming trip. We won't be coming home to disaster. Thank you, thank you, thank you. more

Roto-Rooter plumbers Dec. 27, 2010 Carolyn Boughner says 12/28/2010

Hot water tank went out day after Christmas. We called Roto-Rooter and the tech came out on 12/27/10 (Ticket #16046992) and we just assumed that we would need a new hot water tank. The Service Technician #1680 (Sean Townsend) looked at our Whirlpool hot water tank and informed us that there had been a recall on this particular tank and he called Lowe's and they had a new adapter kit there. He immediately went to Lowe's and picked it up and installed it. Because of his knowledge and experience (knowing that this hot water tank had a recall) we did not have to purchase a new hot water tank and only had to pay for the labor to install this burner assembly. The next time you have a plumbing problem, please consider Roto-Rooter and if possible, request Sean Townsend. Sean was so polite and saved us a lot of money. Thank you very much Sean - we hope to see you when we have another plumbing problem. more

Pipe Clog 12/11/2010 12/19/2010

We had a kitchen pipe clog and the Roto-Rooter plumber from Covington, KY was at our place in less then an hour from the time we called. He was professional and courteous. He completed his work in 20 minutes. He stayed until he was sure the pipe was clear and we were good to go. I would warmly recommend their service! more
