Hot water tank went out day after Christmas. We called Roto-Rooter and the tech came out on 12/27/10 (Ticket #16046992) and we just assumed that we would need a new hot water tank. The Service Technician #1680 (Sean Townsend) looked at our Whirlpool hot water tank and informed us that there had been a recall on this particular tank and he called Lowe's and they had a new adapter kit there. He immediately went to Lowe's and picked it up and installed it. Because of his knowledge and experience (knowing that this hot water tank had a recall) we did not have to purchase a new hot water tank and only had to pay for the labor to install this burner assembly. The next time you have a plumbing problem, please consider Roto-Rooter and if possible, request Sean Townsend. Sean was so polite and saved us a lot of money. Thank you very much Sean - we hope to see you when we have another plumbing problem.
