Everything about the job seems to be okay, but they did a very poor job of matching the shingles color. I think it is a clear case of using the wrong color (i.e., a light gray) instead of a the original color (i.e., charcoal). Even a black would have been better. more

We are very happy with the slate work that was done. They guys did a great job and we know that it is not an easy job. In addition we also had some asphault shingles replaced. We were told that the color would not match, however it is pretty much the complete opposite color from the rest and looks pretty bad. In addition, it looks as though there is a bump that was not there before. more

Reason for the work: Window failure due to wood sheathing rot. Scope of work: replacement of 9 windows; repair/replacement of damaged wood sheathing, J-channel, and vinyl siding; Tyvek wrap of sheathing and window trim. The original contract was written for window replacement but the discovery of rotten wood sheathing led to additional items being addressed, which of course led to an extension to the time to complete the work. I am extremely pleased with the workmanship. Because the interior of the house has plaster meeting the window area and due to the fact that the new windows run deeper into the house, the plaster on the interior had to be carefully chiseled away to allow the new windows to be installed. In addition, the window sills had to be trimmed to accommodate the new window depth. The carpenter who oversaw the job and did the lion’s share of the work was Nick Fee. He is a very amiable fellow who works with meticulous professionalism. The work site was left tidy each evening and at the completion of the work, everything was in order. more

The people I dealt with were professional and courteous, explained everything in detail, and answered any questions I had. The house looks great. The guys that did the work did a great job and left no mess behind. Didn't disrupt my routine at all. more

The expected to get quality materials and work done in a reasonable time, though the price was high from the start. From the start the skylight was removed before it was discovered the replace was smaller and the one taken out was no longer available. The workers had to put the old one back and come back to box in for the smaller unit. The workers did the best they could, but I never heard from the sales/estimator for the job. This is when I did some research on the Veluxe skylight and discovered how the Roofing Company had pumped the price. The vent replacement went better once the worker came on site. His work was very good, but the quality of the vent was poor. The cheap plastic screen will not hold up if squirrels decide to pursue entry. I told the sales guy this concern from the start. I would have been willing to pay for the stronger rabbit wire install over the plastic bug screen, but by this time I justed wanted the Roofing Company gone. The remodeling my wife was considering will be lost opportunity for the Roofing Company. more

The workmanship of the Roofing Company is superb, however it does come at a price. Compared to other companies doing the same work TRC is considerably higher in its estimates. I have consulted with neighbors regarding roof repair costs they have incurred and companies they have hired to do the work. Since the repairs that TRC does...roof work...is long term, sometimes once in a lifetime, it is difficult to compare the lasting quality of a specific repair with other companies who offer the same work at lower prices. I have a rather large gripe about their policy of requiring 1/2 of the estimated repair costs be paid prior to beginning the actual repair. In my case they kept close to 700 dollars of my money for SEVERAL MONTHS prior to doing any work. This is money I could have been using for that period, but instead they had the use of it. I don't mind making a down payment, but it would seem to me that much less than half the cost should be required, and it should be due no longer than 1 month prior to the work being performed. With the volume of work this company does, it seems obvious to me that if a customer defaults, they would easily be able to fill the work time allotted to the defaulter with another job(s). It just seems to me that this practice is an rather unscrupulous way to keep operating capital high at all times at the customer's expense. more

The Roofing Company provides high quality service at a high price. If you want a job done right, call the Roofing Co. The price will be expensive, but you can rest assure the job will be done right. I have used numerous roof repair people over the past 10 years for the same leak. Jason, was extremely knowledgeable when he investigated the problems with a water test and thus far, the leak is gone; even after last week's flash flood. more

I would have liked more precautions taken to protect my property. They could not get the dump truck up the drive way so they used a tarp and let the old roof fall into my bushes and flower beds that were not protected. We are still finding nails on our property which I have been told is normal. The salesman stated that all of the workers were trained in their office which may be true but only one or two spoke english so it was difficult to communicate with them when I had a concern. The net result was good and I love the roof. more

It took a while to get started as they were busy. When they started they were here constantly until the job was done. Even on days when the temp was well above 90 degrees, on a slate roof, in the blazing sun with no shade. Getting the job done well within the time frame that they had told me it would be once they started. They even came and did tempory repairs first to stop a leak until they could put their full attention on the job. They were not the cheapest estimate but the quality of how they were going to do the repairs was far superior to the others and they actually seem to know what they were talking about with the slate roof. It seems to be difficult to find someone with good knowledge of slate roofs. I am very glad that we went with this company more

Requested a board be replaced at time of initial proposal. Had to come back and get another assessment. more

I called them to take a look at a leak I had after a long downpour. The repair which was to take a short time, because they thought they could repair the valley where there was an addition. When they came to fix the valley, they found the shingles that were used 13 years ago would not come up without breaking causing a domino effect. Their recommendation was to replace the entire back of the house so the valley would be correctly sealed. They did an excellent job and finished the job in one very hot day. more

The price and service were great. The only issue was with scheduling. I was expecting a more "set" time and date for the work to be done. The work crew did keep me informed of the changes and it did not affect my schedule. It seems to be the nature of the business. Overall I am very pleased and would use the Roofing COmpany again. more

Crew showed up ontime, politely introduced themselves and got right to work. Notified us when the work was done, cleaned up after doing some touch up painting that was not part of the contract, then told us to call if we had any concerns later. The Roofing Company has done a lot of work for us and we highly recommend them. more

The only observation and recommendation I would provide is to improve the speed between the time that you sign the contract and pay and the time they schedule the work. It took about 4 weeks to schedule the work from the time that I signed. Besides that the employees were really friendly and professional. more

The big worry for me in getting a roof redone has always been having a big rain storm after the old roof has been removed but before the new one is in place. Your crew did the WHOLE job, excluding gutters, downspouts and fascia repairs between about 7;00 AM and 6:00 PM. The gutter crew came in a few days later after the fascia repairs. They all did a fine job. A hard thunder storm downpour a couple of nights ago gave it all a workout. No leaks, no gutter spillsge. GOOD JOB. more
