Overall a quality job, but there are some places that could use improvement. 1-make sure you are quoting the most accurate price as possible. We were told that we didn't have 2 sets of shingles on our roof, but it turned out that we did over most of the roof and incurred an $800 price increase, but the foreman worked with us and reduced the cost by about $500. 2-trying to schedule the "happy check" afterwards is proving to be an inconvenience since we can't get one scheduled that works on our timeline. Again, overall a quality job, and polite employees, just some room for improvement and some things that we were frustrated with through the job. more

Had two local companies come out to give quotes who specialize in slate roof repair. The first did not use a ladder to examine the roof or go into the attic to assess damage. Additionally they failed to ever give a quote despite a follow up email. The roofing co did examine with a ladder, went in the roof, and provided photos to explain the recommended repairs all within 2 hours from arriving. The work was completed in less than a week. Very satisfied. more

Salesman very informative and knowledgeable. Chose this company after receiving two others estimates. Work professionally done, but could improve on communicating with customers. Sales was on point but lack continued contact through job completion. Project Manager did not identify who was point of contact when he was not on site which led to trying to find which one of the 10 workers who could answer my questions about progress. Crew that picked up dumpster removed items to change or service low tire and left items in my driveway. Plan to recommend to friends and neighbors. more

The work was delayed longer than I was told, I think the work could have and should have been done with more pride. work was not done as estimator and I spoke of and I am not 100% satisfied with the completer work! more

Repairs to original slate roof and replacement trim on front dormer. They knew what they needed to do to work with the historic rules and permits. The job was started on time. Foreman kept me apprised of any schedule changes as the work progressed. Work was done as described in contract . Men were wonderful to work with. Left the premises cleaned up every day. We are very happy with the carport and our neighbors think that it adds to the form of our house. Balance wise, it looks good. We had a party for Labor Day and used the carport as a hangout to keep out of the sun. Very nice and we would recommend this company to anyone who/whom asks. I had my roof, skylights, gutters and a window leak problem done by this company. Skylights: company bought skylights too small and built a wood case to make it fit. They left it plain wood and did not frame it nor paint it. Their response was that it was not written in the contract and that it would cost extra to paint it. The contract stated to replace skylights. At no point did I think I had to tell them my definition of replace was to look the same or better. Window leak- still working with them to fix it....ongoing for 2 years! They sold us not true Pella windows, blame the leak on the siding when we paid them thousands of dollars to take off the siding replace the wood and fix the leak.... Gutters: supposed to be leafless and work great...found out months later that the gutter was not put together correctly and was clogged with leaves, which also led to a different window to start leaking with the water flow. Roof: the flashing was not done properly, management said it was the roofers and that they had fired them, but it would cost us more money to get it fixed. The company is very hard to get someone to respond to phone calls and emails. We are still waiting on them to call us back from the last window leak. Also, the company does not try to make things right, their answer is to write up another contract and have us pay more. I do not recommend this company for anyone, they are professional until you sign a contract and then they will find any loop hole to get more money or not fix something they did. more

The Roofing Company did some work on our slate roof and repaired some gutters two years ago. We were pleased with their work and decided to hire them for recent repairs to our flat roof. As before, we were impressed with their customer service, the quality of the repair, and especially with the follow up after the work was finished. The on site project manager called us twice to be sure that everything was done to our satisfaction. The Roofing Company offers good value for a fair price. more

They removed my chimney, replaced broken slate shingles and capped all the places where angles occurred that could allow in water. more

I had some issues with minor water leaks from my roof and some of the shingles were coming off. THe roof itself is less than 10 years old. I contacted The Roofing Company and Earl Holben came out to take a look at the roof. Earl inspected and photographed the roof. He explained where the leaks were coming from and pointed out several areas of my roof that had been installed incorrectly 10 years ago. Earl prepared three different estimates, each one a different level of work. In addition, Earl took the time to review each estimate with me, explaining the benefits of each estimate. This was benenficial to me because it gave me options on how to to best fix the problem with a solution that fit my finances. The work was done at the time agreed upon. Earl fixed all the repairs in a timely and professional manner. I would definitely call these guys again. From the first meeting with Chuck Simpson, I was impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail. He took pictures of the roof and explained what I was looking at and allowed me to ask questions. The second meeting was with Don Wymer to discuss details of the installation. He was also very attentive and told me he would be on site and to direct any questions to him during the installation. Had these guys come out for a estimate, was 30 min late after looking at the house they said I'll email you a estimate in a few days. 2 weeks went by, I called asking about it and got the answer we will send it right out. Never got it. Another week went by gave them another call and same answer. Only call these guys if you want to waste your time and miss work to get not even the decency of a real answer. more

The company contracted to replace the gutters did an excellent job however, he could have performed a better cleanup of old materials. I kept finding gutter pins and metal in my flower beds for several weeks after completion. more
