Great results and friendly staff 7/7/2008

I went to R&J after an extensive research on the internet and through friends. The staff were friendly from day one and were open to all my questions and concerns. After some sessions, I already feel like I know everybody there and I really enjoy going there and chatting with the owner or the staff. At the same time, R&J maintains a highly professional atmosphere and it never gets awkward, even if the treatment involves rather intimate zones of the body. I just finished my third treatment (about half of what was recommended for my skin type) and I already have almost no more hair growth. Despite my highly sensitive skin, the treatment is going very well and I have no irritations at all. The results are just great and I am very happy of having chosen R&J!!! I have been using R&J for a while now and have recommended it to friends and family (at least those who need it). They are very friendly people who are all very knowledgable about the service. The owner is always around and is very good about recommending changes and helping people out. They are also very flexible with scheduling and re-scheduling, which is a must have in NYC. I was thinking about laser hair removal for a long time but had so many questions in my mind.i did some research online, talk to friends who have done laser hair removal and found out many of my friends are or have been customers of Romeo&Juliette, and they were very happy with the treatment and the place itself.I went there for a consultation couple of weeks ago and the moment i've entered there, I knew I've made the right choice. The receptionists and the technician were very kind and professional, and they made me feel very comfortable, all my questions have been answered, ( and i beleive I've asked hundreds of questions), i felt very comfortable about the procedure and I knew i was at good hands and ended up starting my laser hair removal journey that day. I am very excited that I will be hair free soon, and very happy that I made the right decision by choosing Romeo&Juliette..I even encouraged my husband to go there for his back hair, and he is as happy as i am even after 1 treatment. Highly recommended. I have been going to Romeo Juliet for a while. I started with my upper lips and moved to other areas in time. Basicly, I lasered my whole body. I've got great result. I have a very soft skin now because of it. All ingrowns are gone. I am getting a lot of complements from my friends as well as my boyfriends. I can go to the beach and still get treated. Stuff is very friendly and knowledgable. For anyone with dark skin this is the place to go. more

Busy for a reason! 7/5/2008

I've had laser treatments on my face at a different center, and had just about given up on this procedure until I found this place through a friends recommendation. I'm Eastern European and HAD very stubborn, dark facial and body hair. After the first treatment on my face, I noticed the hair grew back so much finer and thinner that I proceeded to treat other areas. I purchased a package and couldn't be happier or more satisfied with the results. They are very busy, but I believe it's because they truly are the best when it comes to hair removal. I must say that I've never personally had an uncomfortable experience with the front desk or any of the laser technicians, and I've been treated by at least 3 different girls already. Located in midtown, so I can run over on my lunch break or right after work. Definitely give them a try. I promise you won't be disappointed! I've already brought my mom and sister in and will definitely recommend to all of my friends. Pros: Office is beautiful, convenient location, effective treatment...the list goes on! Cons: None. So far, so good. more

Finally, The Right Treatment! 6/27/2008

I am so happy with the results, finally, my hair is really gone!! After spending a fortune at my dermatologists office and more than year of unsuccessful laser treatments, I was told that my fair skin and light hair color made its removal difficult. I was angry to say the least. I gave up shaving years ago because of skin irritation and unsightly follicles. Waxing was barely better, my skin texture improved but I constantly agonised over ingrown hairs. Frustrated and determined to get results I went on the recommendation of a good friend to visit Romeo and Juliette in March. I was very pleased with their attentiveness to my concerns and straight forward professional approach to a solution . We began with smaller areas, like my bikini and under arms, to see what results I would have. Their solution, to use a couple of different lasers, at a very reasonable expense to me before commiting to a package price or anything long term, made me very comfortable. Boy! was I thrilled when all the hair was completely removed in just 2 visits, with no regrowth. I have since moved on to my legs and I am getting the same rapid results. Friends, I have come to understand that not all lasers are created equal, so beware! Just because you are in a doctors office does not mean that the best methods and/or proper treatments are being used. I thoroughly trust the knowledge of the Romeo and Juliette team and highly recommend them. Thank you Ulya and Christian, and my thanks to all the polite and professional technicians on their team who have made my dream to have smooth hairless skin come true! Client for over 2 years 6/25/2008

I have been in a quest to get rid of most of my body hair. I believe hair should only be found on the scalp and eyebrows. I have been going to Romeo and Juliette for my treatments and they are incredibly professional, value your business and treat you well. They are a husband/wife team that take pride in their own place. This is rare to find in nyc and I am usually someone who wines. more

I really think this place is the best. The owners are so professional and the staff are very welcoming. As a man it is difficult to receive treatments without feeling awkward. I like to be smooth all over, and i do mean ALL over. Chris (the owner), knows just how to get the job done without any fuss. I sometimes even forget that he's working on me, that's how comfortable he makes me feel. The girls are great too for most of my body, but Chris knows how to get to those tricky areas and i will be sending all my guy friends, girls too. Pros: Pro Team Cons: Chris is married!!! more

For the Men - there is no other place to go - Clean - A dream 6/22/2008

R&J is the only place to go in NYC for your removal needs - and Chris is simply a master - and a professional to the highest degree - he keeps only the best staff on hand and if you have an isssue, a problem, a concern, he will take time out of his busy day to personally treat you himself - or oversee his staff. It doesn't matter if you have light hair that you want to get off for good or a ton of hair (from other clients I have talked to) - Chris delivers results and solutuions to all of his clients. You won't feel uncomfortable, you will get professional advice and you will get results! Cheer to Chris and his entire staff. Best Laser 6/22/2008

I have been to many laser centers in New York as well as in Europe treating my legs, bikini and arms. When I did not get results in my last center, I tried Romeo & Juliette , through a referral. I was skeptical since my results had not lived up to my expectations. The staff were very friendly and the technician spent almost 20 minutes asking me about my previous treatments. She the proceeded treating my bikini with this new laser that I had not seen anywhere else. It did not hurt compared to the other times. When she was about to treat the arms, she called the owner who also asked me a lot of questions prior to giving her the OK with a setting that was suitable for my arms.They ended up using another laser for my arms. I had a great experience at Romeo & Juliette Laser center. I finished my bikini treatment and just started my legs and underarms. The attention that was shown to my treatments were fantastic. The BEST laser hair removal place in NY! 6/17/2008

After trying so many other places in NY, I finally found the best place for myself, thru recommendation of my friend. It is very time consuming and frustrating to find such place you can trust, be comfortable, and solve your problem. I've been going to R&J for some time for my chin (and will continue for some other parts) and I always find the place very clean, staff very caring, well trained , understanding and the price is worth to their service you can not compare to other laser removal places I've been. I have been suggesting many people (men & women) that I know already and this web site is a great reference source . I am so pleased with their quality of service, their convenience, and the results are exceeding my expectations! I saw some negative comments about the waiting times, but you must realize, they do not give you a sloppy job and sometimes 10-15 minutes is worth the wait especially in their relaxing spa look atmosphere. My husband is also going there for treatment and believe me it was not easy to convince him until he get there, he loves going there as a man he feels very comfortable in this lovely place. I would say, you can't go wrong with R&J. Unwelcoming staff/ Sloppy job 4/3/2008

I went to R & J for the first time a few years ago and was very pleased with the result and the atmosphere there. That's why I decided to go back to them for a touch-up when I had some regrowth recently. (The regrowth was to be expected and not due to the first treatments being ineffective). When I arrived for my appointment expecting the same friendly service, thorough treatment and welcoming atmosphere, I was immediately disappointed. This began when I buzzed the office staff to enter the building. Rather than a friendly greeting, I was barked at that the door was open and could still hear the young woman with a flippant attitude saying ""COME IN. THE DOOR IS OPEN."" as I entered the foyer of the building. Ok, maybe a lot of people have difficulty hearing them and they have to say it to clients all day and that's frustrating, but a long way from a greeting and it made me feel very uncomfortable about coming up and having to get undressed in front of someone who's just yelled at me through the intercom. When I arrived there were several technicians and office staff behind the desk and not one of them said ""hello"" when I walked in. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming as I was the only client and felt as though the woman who finally brought me back would have preferred to continue to sit in the entrance reading her magazine rather than bring me back for the treatment. She did very little to make the experience more comfortable for someone who had to then take her clothes off, which made me feel uncomfortable. She didn't talk to me about the procedure just that I should remove the appropriate articles of clothing and lay down. I was very happy when the treatment was over. I was also glad to get out of there. Now, a couple weeks after, I realize that the tech missed spots and I paid for a treatment that is not to my satisfaction. I will not return to Romeo and Juliet.
