Best

OMG I'm soooo happy!!! I am pleased to say that my experience in finding my 1st apartment with Rapid Realty was an awesome one! My Rapid agent made the whole process easier than I...

Worst

KEEP YOUR WORD!!! If you say that your going to give deposit to landlord in good faith, do it! Don't pocket the money....Apartment hunting process went well until that point and I...

hard working decent people, will work with you 4/3/2008

Going through a divorce with my wife, I did not have the money to pay broker fee, in addition to first and security. They cut down the broker fee a lot, and also negotiated a system with the landlord so that I could pay security over the first few months of my lease. If I had to pay a fee, I'm glad to have paid people who worked hard for me, and figured out how to get me into an apartment that another company may not have gotten me into. more

life savers! 3/26/2008

So, I posted basically the same review of these guys on Yelp (sorry citysearch, but I like them better), but Rapid Realty really came through for me and I wanted to give them credit where credit's due. \r \r Here goes - I had just signed leases with two roommates when one backed out. So basically I was screwed. My broker, Laila, helped me find another place (a studio, which would not have been my first choice, but it was all I could afford at this point) in less than a day, and I didn't lose out on money I'd put down on the first apartment (they had to get it back from the landlord, it was a big mess, thanks ""friends""). She really came through, and I appreciate that. more

Easy Process, Lots of Apartments 3/24/2008

Well, the title pretty much says everything here. Found a good place in my budget, the office handled my paperwork quickly, I moved in within a week of putting down my deposit. Much easier than I thought using a broker would be. more

great service for landlords 3/21/2008

I use Rapid Realty to help rent out the apartments in my building, and have been satisfied with their service every time. Each time I've used their service, I've gotten wonderful tenants within about a week of listing. They seem to represent their tenants fairly, and work hard for their landlords too. I have had great relationships with all of the people they've put in my apartments, and will continue to use their service for my upcoming vacancies. more

two thumbs up 3/19/2008

Absolutely the best broker I've ever worked with. Everything happened quickly, and I moved in THE SAME DAY i found my apt. I have friends that used them and it took about a week to get into their place, so it's not ALWAYS this fast, but they had a good experience too. They have a bunch of apartments, so you can pick one, instead of being told that ""that's the only one that fits your qualifications"" (cough - Corcoran - cough). more

Great Experiences = Good reviews 3/14/2008

I used Rapid to get my place (which is gawwwgeous... exposed beams, exposed brick, stainless steel...I feel like I live in a design magazine. with second hand furniture) like 3 weeks ago. Everything went really smoothly, and I went from almost homeless to living in the lap of luxury in 4 days. Not bad. What set this apart from other experiences with brokers (there have been many. too many.) is how funny the agent was. He was hilarious (also really good at pitching a sale, but that's nothing unusual). I know, not that big of a deal, but it helped make the whole process less tedious, which apartment shopping usually is. more

no fee means no fee! 3/6/2008

i got my apt. from Rapid several years ago, and it was 'no fee' (i paid first, last, security). it seemed too good to be true, and, to be honest, i was almost expecting to have to pay my last month again when i moved out of my apartment at the end of january. well, i didn't, my landlord did, AND i got my security deposit back. it really was no fee, as unbelievable as that seems (especially in NYC, where NOTHING is free). more real estate companies should do this! more

huge inventory 2/29/2008

I called Rapid Realty after seeing one of their billboards and talked to Silvia. I started to get really annoyed after being on hold with her for almost 20 minutes, but then she picked up and had TWELVE apartments to show me. Glad I didn't hang up. We looked at about five before I took one, and everything went without a hitch. more

crazy hours for my crazy schedule 2/28/2008

I have been looking for an apartment for months, trying to rearrange my schedule to see places. I saw some decent spaces, but they were few and far between, because my schedule is nuts and it's hard to make the time to see apartments. I work from 8 am to 8pm, basically six days a week, trying to get my business off the ground, so the fact that most brokers have regular office hours (9-5, 6 latest) wasn't really working for me.\r \r I responded to an ad on craigslist, which turned out to be from Rapid Realty, and explained my work schedule to the guy right away, expecting to get pretty much the same response (basically, that I would need to take time off of work to find ""my dream apartment""). Fortunately, this didn't happen - my broker showed me an apartment at 11 pm (after making sure I was serious, obviously this isn't an ideal way to spend a Friday night for ANYONE) on Friday night, and we went back to the office so I could leave a deposit on the place. They actually opened up the office (I guess they usually close at 10) for me, because one of the guys in the office was having an open house on the place the next morning, and I wanted to snatch the place up before anybody else had a chance to. Really, what other company would do that? Pros: very accomodating, friendly sevice, late hours more

Efficient, Efficient, Efficient! 2/22/2008

I just got an apartment (it's official! Keys in hand!) from Rapid Realty. What a whirlwind! This place was awesome, everything moved REALLY quickly - I saw a place, left a deposit, and moved in 2 days later. I hardly had time to pack up my stuff! There is pressure to leave a deposit and make your move on a place because that's the business - I have missed out on getting some pretty sweet apartments in the past because I wanted to mull it over before deciding on whether or not to put money down on it (and then they were rented out from under me). The quicker you can move on getting a place, the quicker these people will move FOR you. If you need to move, like, NOW, I recommend this place. Pros: Super quick! more
