I can't complain about my Rapid experience. It was pretty painless as far as apartment hunting goes. It's nice to have someone do the really boring stuff for you. I HATE searching through thousands of Craigslist ads just to find nothing. more

Rapid is your staple scammer broker. They are precisely the broker that New York Times warns against. Do some reading first. Hold on to your wallet and take everything they tell you with at least two grains of salt. If you let your guard down even for a second, they will take your money and not give it back. And they'll never find you that promised no fee beauty of an apartment - because they simply don't have that kind of inventory. Their apartments are cheap, yes, but they're crappy and you wouldn't want to live there. Run for the hills! Cons: Lack of intellect, lack of professionalism more

Our experience at Rapid Realty was great. My boyfriend and I found a great apartment in a great location with the best landlord EVER WITH NO RENTAL FEE, The apartment was new with brand new stainless steel appliances. Our landlord spent a lot of time decorating and making it look modern. it's in a very very quiet neighborhood that's safe. We were helped by James Henderson,Allen Obando and Winn. We had 3 agents because we were picky and we needed agents that could work with our crazy schedules. It took us a little while (almost a month) but it was well worth the wait. The best part about Rapid Realty is that they made the time to be available to us at our convenience (both my boyfriend and I work 6 days out of 7 and very long hours). We would suggest to take your time to work with them, allow them to work for you as they can be very efficient with their searches and also understand that even though they are a rental agency, the landlord have a final word in picking you as a potential tenant and with this horrible economy, landlords (from our experience) can be overly picky and super ridiculously demanding. \r \r We are happy with Rapid Realty, we will work with them again and have recommended several people so far. My agent had absolutely no knowledge of the area I was looking to move to (Williamsburg, Carrol Gardens, Downtown Brooklyn, Bushwick)-and constantly took me to places I specifically said I didnt want to see. Eventually I put a huge deposit on a no fee apt only to find out two days later that they had a ""mix up"" and the apt was actually many hundreds of dollars more than they told me and required a $3000 broker's fee. They tried to cajole me to agree on the new price and said that someone else made a higher offer even though they were supposed to take the apt off the market when I made a deposit. The agent told me this information after I had given him tons of paperwork and they ran a credit check. Getting my money back was not pleasant- different people from the company kept calling me and making different claims, without communicating with each other. Working with them was a complete nighmare. Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: lied about apt prices and brokers fee more

No idea what they're doing. My agent was out of it, and barely understood even the simplest of questions. also, he sort of tried blurring the difference between ""no fee"" and ""fee"" apartments. These people were incredibly unprofessional. Not only did they outright lie about ""fees"" they were going to charge me but they also became completely unresponsive. I understand that all realty companies are in it for the profit but when the customer service is this bad I would rather pass. more

They take you money really quick and didn't make no efforts to let us see the apartment manager. Knowing we had a move date on the 1st. Complete IDIOTS. I read some of there SO-called good reviews. You can tell they were written by the RAPID people. They use words that a agent would use. Anyways the truth about them can be told with out them fudging it. Look them up on the Be t t er BUSINESS BUREAU. I sure did and wish i did before leaving a brokers fee . The have alot of negatives AGAINST THEM.
