R & R Heating and Air Conditioning is very good. I have always been completely happy with them! They take care of the heating and AC in our home. Our unit is about ten years old and it works great! Even the salesman who sold it to us was very knowledgeable and nice. We have a contract with them and every year they service our units. They arrive timely and know what they're doing. Service people are friendly, polite and always take time to answer any questions I have. I have a maintenance contract and appreciate the company calling me to schedule appointments when the seasons change so I don't have to wonder when its time. R & R Heating and Air Conditioning handled everything very professionally. I called them on a Saturday, and I left a message. I didn't know if I would be able to get somebody to come out and look at our AC unit right away or what. They called me back right away. I had called two other companies, one never called me back and the other guy sounded so unprofessional, I never would have hired him! The guy from R & R was upfront about the higher cost for a weekend. He also went over what he thought the issues might be and what he could possibly do to fix it and what the different costs would be. I was very impressed with how patient and thorough he was over the phone, even though I hadn't even contracted with him yet. He took the time to paint an overall picture of what the repairs would be and cost before I had even decided to use him! He told me that he would not be able to pinpoint the problem until he saw it. I asked when he could get here, and he was able to come within two hours. He was great! He arrived when he said he would and was a very nice guy. He also was very professional. He explained what he was doing and was always direct and upfront with me throughout the job. When you're a new customer, you don't know if this is the right outfit to go with and to trust, but I'm so glad I did. They are reliable, and have great follow-up, and now that I've used them, I now know why many of my neighbors use them too! RESPONSE FROM R&R Heating & Air Conditioning: Thanks Robert! Excellent service; Poor Scheduling Procedures 8/12/2011

In our business we usually need "after hours" service. We are not unwilling to pay extra for this service. R & R does not have a good method of scheduling this "after hours" service. I was told I needed to call after hours to schedule after hours service. Stupid! R & R should reevaluate after hours scheduling. If I call in the morning to schedule service after patients leave our Dental Practice about 5:00 pm I shouldn't be told I need to call back in the evening to make such an appointment. We completely understand your frustration about the scheduling, and you're right, you shouldn't have to call back later for after hours service. Your situation was unique and we just needed to verify internally the best way to take care of you, which to my understanding we were able to do that evening as requested. We apologize if the scheduling was not as smooth as it could have been.
As you can imagine, the after-hours calls requests we receive are typically for emergency service (as opposed to routine scheduled maintenance) and they are handled a bit differently in scheduling. So we hope you understand our initial response. However we do have a few long time commercial customers that request after hours service in advance and we're happy to do that for them, as we are for you. We adapt to the needs of our customers and now that we've established a relationship with you we'll be better prepared for your next call!

The tech made a huge difference. 7/18/2011

We have had some issues with the service techs at R & R Heating and Air Conditioning in the past, but our most recent experience was really good, and deserves positive feedback. We had an problem with our air conditioner, where it was dripping water and puddling onto the floor inside our home. It took them a while to make it out, but given the time of year, this was acceptable. When he arrived, our tech was very friendly, and showed right away that he knew what he was doing. We were made to feel appreciated--not like just another service call. He diagnosed the issue right away as the result of corrosion, and addressed it quickly. We had used a couple of other companies, and upon seeing advertisements for R & R Heating and Air Conditioning, we gave them a call. From that first phone call, we knew we'd never use another company. Everyone we spoke to was so nice and extremely knowledgeable over the phone. And the technicians who came out for our first service, were professional, appropriate and very thorough. We just thought everyone was excellent. Our family has a contractor background, so we are consumers that hold service companies up to a higher standard. We've been down the contractor road and look for things somebody else might not look for. For us to recognize their superior service and the high quality of their staff, is extremely important and says a lot about a company. We think R & R is really good, they always do a great job.
