I am writing this letter to express how thrilled we are about our inground pool from Pool and Spa Depot. The process has been very quick and easy. Each of your crews were quick, e...

Thank ou so Much! 9/17/2010

Thank you Kip, Steven, Cody and the crew at Pool and Spa Depot! Our questions were answered honestly and promptly during the contractual agreement stage...Kip kept us informed of the processes leading up to the construction, and Cody and his crew were awesome! One week to the day, our excavation was begun, the fiberglass shell was delivered and set and the plumbing and backfill was complete! We could not have asked for a better experience - and I'm sure our neighbors agree!!! Thank you Pool and Spa Depot for being an upstanding company serving Middle TN!!! more

TERRIBLE service department and manager 9/17/2010

I honestly cannot believe the experience my husband and I had at this Pool & Spa Depot location. About 2 months ago, my husband and I bought a Dynasty spa from P&S. The salesperson was very nice and the hot tub was delivered on time. We LOVED it....for about a week. After a week, we discovered that the LED lights on one side of the hot tub were dim. So my husband called P&S service. They said they would send someone out to look at it because ""Dynasty stands by their hot tubs"". Well, before the service guy could get out there, we discovered that the hot tub was leaking on one corner. So, my husband again called the service department and let them know. The serivce department tried to tell us that ""sometimes hot tubs just leak in the beginning and then fix themselves"". My husband told him that he wanted it looked at anyways while the service guy was out for the LED lights. P&S called about 4 days later to tell us the light kit had come in and that they were sending the service guy out to fix it. SO...TWO WEEKS later when the service guy finally showed up, he turned on the lights, looked at them and said that he didn't have the equipment to fix them (who sends the service guy out without equipment to fix stuff??!!). So my husband mentioned the leak, the guy didn't even know about it, there were NO RECORDS on our account of a leak. So the service guy opened the side where the hot tub was leaking, ripped out the insulation, and told us he had to order the part and would call us the next day. Did we hear from him the next day? NO. Did we hear from him in a week? NO. So we called the service dept. THey said the part was on back order. more

do not go to pool and spa depot 9/7/2010

I am looking for an above ground pool. I went to Pool and Spa depot to look at pools. What a mistake. I was one of 2 people in the store. I"" lucked"" out and got the owner's son Daniel. When I told him I was looking for a pool, the spiel started. I told him I am disabled but he kept me standing in one place for an hour. I got an education on all pools and why I should buy the $4,000 pool. He just kept talking about Watsons and how bad they are. I finally told him I didnt want him to mention Watsons(Family Leisure) again because if I wanted to hear about Watson's I would be there. so he just kept on using the word ""they"". He told me to take a magnet to Watsons because their pools are steel and his $4,000 pool is aluminum but then later told me I should get the steel(Coated) ledge so thats when I stopped listening to him. So why wouldn't just buy the cheaper steel pool is beyond me.The kicker is this. He said I have to go and get my own sand. Then he said the 1st foot to dig is free and then every inch they have to dig is $100.oo per inch to dig out for your pool.WHAT? Crazy!!! You know they would tell you they had to dig another foot and add $1,200 to your final price. I told him I had just talked to one of his salesmen 2 weeks before and he told me it would be $3,500 for complete pool and installation and I didnt have to buy and get delivered my own sand. He totally ignored that and said they had gotten rid of all of their sales people last week. Do not go there unless you want to be ripped off. Make sure you listen to every word they say and ask how much it will cost to dig for the pool. I left very disappointed. The pool season is over. Its like buying a Christmas tree after Christmas but you will not get any deal and If you get Daniel, He will just keep sticking it to you. more

Best in the US 9/1/2010

This is an awesome retailer. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and quick to respond to problems. I can't believe Middle Tennessee is the only place that has them. We are very lucky!! more

I will never use another pool store 9/1/2010

I went pool shopping at pool & spa depot in Antioch last month and not only did I purchase a pool, which I am totally in love with:), but the salesman and service department were excellent. I had an excellent experience. The setup of pools and spas in the store, as well as the friendly and knowledgable staff was incredible. I plan on going back and purchasing a spa very soon. more

WORST SERVICE EVER 6/10/2010

Well, the only good thing about this company is it sells mostly American items. After I purchased the pool, the installers came to put the pool in about a week and a half later. The installers according to my neighbor used the side of my house for the toilet rather than the downstairs bathroom, they didn't put together or install the ladder. I called them within five minutes of them leaving because they took the pool booklet with directions with them. They tried to explain to me how to put it together while on the phone, but I had three ladder step sets and a few other pieces and it made no sense to me what they were trying to explain. We got disconnected, and i never heard from them again. Called the store to tell them about it, I told them I could not put the ladder together, the parts I had made no sense. They angrily tell me they can have someone come out in about eight days to fix the problem (really) so my wife and kids get to stare at our pool for eight days waiting on a ladder. I then called back to speak to the store manager, was put on hold for about ten minutes, then when someone picked up again, I had to explain again who I was holding for, finally I was put through to the store managers machine (BOB), and left a message. In eight days, never heard from him. So eight days later, a man from the pool store comes out to try and fix the ladder, and he states that the pool company shipped three different pool ladders at my house, that is why the instalers didn't put it together(they couldn't), He had stated that Tray in the service department had said I must have been an idiot to not know how to build and install the ladder, but now he knows why. how refreshing. Anyways, I call again to speak to Bob the store manager and in ten minutes again I am able to leave him a message, seven hours later I call again, because he never calls back. This time I get to talk to service and Tray answers, I tell him who I am and that I want the number to the district manager, he laughs at my request and states ""You can either schedule another time for someone to come out to your house to fix the ladder, or I can leave a message for the district manager, but you can't have his phone number"" So, please, don't buy from this company. I am a pilot stationed at Ft. Campbell, wanted something for my family while I deployed, and this is the thanks I get for serving. Don't do it people. Good luck though. more

YES YES YES 5/29/2010

I was very skeptical about buying a pool, but a friend had recommended me to Pool and Spa. I walk in and see a beautiful show room and am assisted immediatly. They are very dependable and have lived up to their reputation. Unfortunately, some people didnt read their contract or listen very well to the information given. You have to get your own electrician, they have pools and spas, not electricity. So do not be discouraged. Why go to Watsons when pool and spa has everything you need. Pros: Excellent Service and they know their stuff Cons: Watsons more

if you buy installl yourself 5/4/2010

installed, yea right. ""all you have to do is attach the ladder to the pool. "" then spend the next three weeks restoring your yard and moving the dirt and the unused sand -extra that they ""had"" to have. install all the extras they promised. and wait on the parts that were not in the boxes. oh and clean up all the trash they leave behind. this ""installation included"" is going to cost me several hundreds of dollars more just to make the yard livable again. that doesnt included calling the electrician back to hook up the Lights (?) -there is only one and they said it had lights all around the pool. they are no better than watsons slut. promises, promises and full of bull pooo Pros: delivered on time Cons: did not do what was promised more

Not BAD. 8/17/2009

Well, where do I start. I read the reviws on here like most people. Thought about looking online. Went to Pool and Spa Depot and was HOOKED in. The people there are really cool. After talking with them and seeing some of their OTHER customers (the ones that cry and whine and think they are more important than everybody in town) I noticed this place was not so bad. My wife and I bought a spa. A cheap one we could handle the payments on per month, but were still treated with respect. We got what we paid for and understand that nothing in life is free. We got what we paid for, and at a great price as well. Pros: Great buying experience Cons: it's not free, but worth the money more

Pool and Spa Depot are LIARS and THIEVES 8/10/2009

Everytime I walk in this store after having my water tested they throw a bunch of s*** up on the counter omg you need this and you need that. and at the least I've ever had to pay for chemicals is maybe 50 bucks. One occasion I was told I needed 40 lbs of calcium for my pool lol I know Calcium isn't that important so I said screw it went over to watson's right down the road and was told to use baking soda for alkalinity and to get rid of algae I could use this stuff that they sold me called sno bleach went home followed all of the steps have never had a problem since. I wish I'd known after 5 years all the money I had wasted. Pool and Spa can Go to Hell for all I care. all they are after is money and will lie to loyal customers to get it. very sad Pros: Awesome pool chemicals they work well if you can afford them Cons: everytime I walk in the door. more

Excellent service and Product! 7/13/2009

My wife and I have purchased a hot tub/spa her tanning bed, and now this past weekend a 24 foot above ground pool, all from Pool and Spa Depot in Antioch. We have had great service, and reading the other reviews on here I have no idea who any of these people dealt with, because we have always been pleased with all the service and items that we purchase from Pool and Spa. They will honestly go out of their way to make you happy. I know that they made my wife very happy with selling her the pool she wanted, and she is a hard one to please so if she is happy they are doing something right. I will definatly use them again if I need them and I know that they will be there with a great deal, and a quailty product. Robert J. Pros: Great value and very knowledgeable staff Cons: Have no complaints. more

AWESOME Service! Wonderful People to help you! 7/13/2009

We have bought MANY things from Pool and Spa Depot and have been pleased with everything. We purchased a hot tub/Spa at our old house, with no problem, I have a wonderful tanning bed that has been going strong now for 6 years, and we just purchased a 24 foot above ground swimming pool. They are awesome, the service is unbeatable! Call and talk to Bob or Steve, and IF you have a problem Michelle or Brent would be happy to solve it, they work hard at making everyone happy, they have definatly made me a very happy customer, I will always shop here. You can not go wrong with Pool and Spa, they are the best and that is why I only shop with them. Shannon Johnson Pros: Brent Michelle Bob and Steve Will go out of their way! Cons: I wish they had a location closer to were I live. more

Horrible Service Go Elsewhere 6/15/2009

The sales staff promised us that the pool would be serviced by a specific date. The Service Manager failed to call and schedule the appointment in enough time to make that happen. The service technicians no showed, no call on their scheduled date. When they did arrive they failed to complete the service and broke one of the caps on the pool. Technicians never returned phone calls. The service manager refused to acknowledge the poor performance of her employees. Technicians lied and told her work had been complete when it hadn't. The store manager was ambivalent. There was no attempt made to make the customer happy. It took 2 months to get the service complete and several hours of follow up and phone calls to see a resolution. This place is horrible! Pros: best price Cons: worst service ever more

Worst Business in Town 6/4/2009

My wife and I purchased a new spa last fall and that is were the disaster started. Cons: Stay away more

Watch out!!! 6/1/2009

The price is never the price. If you want anything extra, they will charge you outrageous prices. Very deceitful. Inground pools - $3 per sq. ft. more than market for extra concrete. (Thousands of dollars) Unreasonable for rock removal once they have you signed. The list goess on and on... Pros: There are none Cons: Be prepared to pay thousands extra more

Absolutely the Worst!!!!!!!!!!!! 5/19/2009

If you have extremely low expectations then it's okay to shop here. Otherwise, AVOID. Service is non-existent. We purchased a pool table and it took 1 month and several trips to get it installed. Not to mention, the installation guys got our carpet filthy. We had also purchased a salt system for our pool. It was installed (after multiple appts) and doesn't work . One week later and I still haven't been able to get someone out to look at it. This morning I spent over 30 minutes on hold (or on ignore) and have yet to speak with the service department. The only reason they deserve one star is the gals who sample the pool water are always helpful and friendly. Pros: In store pool water samples Cons: No service, poor communication, unable to reach by phone more

stay away and tell your freinds and neighbors 4/9/2009

This is the worst company i have ever seen. The people there lie about everything from start to finish, nothing they have said has been the truth. even after i got shawn to promise me a call he never did. this has happened 15 times and I keep getting differant lies from differant people. even the owner lied. dont ever go here or even walk through, or you will be lie to worse then the lowest car dealer. a law suit is being put togeather if anyone is interested. this company has to be out of business. Cons: lie after lie from start to finish more

Continue to Avoid Pool and Spa Depot!! 8/12/2008

The only thing I can tell you if you are looking to buy a pool or spa from Pool and Spa Depot is DON?T!!! I purchased a fiberglass pool on October 19, 2007 from a salesperson, who I was told no longer works there, told us that we ?would be swimming by Christmas?. The first lie. Pool and Spa did not start to install the pool until we made numerous phone calls in early December of 2007. Yes they will tell you that the weather did not allow them to start installation but here are the facts. Between the purchase date and the start of installation (approx. 12/1/07) there were only 12 of the 43 days with any reported rainfall. The 4 rainfall days with one inch or more were isolated. The 8 remaining rainfall dates had less than 1 inch of rain. We were sold what they called a display pool ? one that had been shot through (yes a bullet hole) on the grounds and repaired which the salesperson assured us we would not receive ? the second lie. After being told that Pool and Spa would take care of everything, we were required to pull all permits for installation and fined when the electrical failed ? the third lie. Installation was a nightmare. They had to install the pool twice actually pulling it out of the ground because it was not level. Workers were suspect at best with one exhibiting behavior that would definitely not be considered professional. The work is below quality ? concrete around the pool is cracking outside the expansion joints and it has only been in place since February. The pool has areas of discoloration where it has been repaired ? from the bullet hole and the surface is cracking. The saga continues. I only hope that you will heed this warning and not get caught in the same situation. Despite all these issues arbitration has served no justice, so when they tell you repeatedly who they use for arbitration, as I was, take this as a warning to head for the door with your wallet/pocketbook closed!! If I could rate them no star I would!!! Pros: Nothing Cons: Not a value, lie after lie after lie more
