Petrillo's Pizza Restaurant

Grew up eating Petrillos but never again.....\r Ordered over the phone and was told a 2 hour wait, arrived on time and after waiting at the pick-up desk for the staff to take pictures of each other and put other customers on hold received two cold pizzas. When I voiced my dissatisfaction the staff looked at me blankly asking if I wanted the pizzas or not. I asked to speak to the manager and when he finally came to address the issue he started talking without even asking what my issue was saying he was sorry but it was busy today (obviously not so busy that his staff could laugh and take pictures while we and others waited for service) when I explained that the pizza was cold he asked me what I wanted him to do about it, absolutely ridiculous..... He asked if I wanted it or not ..... I told him I didn't wait the 2 hours his staff advised for the food to be cold, he offered to redo the pizzas finally but when his staff told him it was two pizzas he said instead to give a 5.00 discount (off of a 60.00 check ??? again ridiculous) when I said I wouldn't pay 55.00 for cold pizza he said he he had the right to refuse service and took the pizzas to the back and told the staff to pull our photo and telephone numbers and not serve us again...... Not to worry Archie we wouldn't be back if you paid us to eat your cold pizza..... We ended up getting hot pizza, great service and half the price at Baby Bros pizza in El Monte ...... Disgusting to see a business become so arrogant that they think they can afford to treat customers that way .... From reading others reviews looks like I'm not the only one not going back \r \r Thank for the horrible service Archie! 1star only so the system would take this review! more

Right to the point - Service was nice, smile is important. Didn't wait for too long and prices are in my range. I really had a good decent meal. It maybe counts as a fast food. But I don't care :). Thanks for the great meal experience. more

The girls helping are the worst I have ever experienced. I have been coming here for years and lately my time going there has dwindled. I dont even bother anymore with ordering pizza there. Why should I order pizza from someone who own cashiers treat everyone like they are filth. The girls there spoke back to everyone and even one cashier made a face at an elderly lady when she asked for some cheese and pepper. I was so upset with the answers the girls gave me. I showed up a bit early for my pizza and the girl laughed at me.. She said..We wont give it to you early, come back in 30 mins and we might have it ready. So sad that such a wonderful place has hired such horrible service. Maybe when the service improves, then my commitment to them will improve more

The pizza is good (though not as good as it used to be about 15 yrs ago!) but the customer service is absolutely the worst! Honestly, I'd have to say the ""workers"" (that's using the word generously) @ the counter have no business being in a position of dealing with the public. The service, or lack thereof, is what's kept me away from this place. The pizza would have to be to out of this world fantastic to deal with this group of nasty individuals, and sadly it's not. I'm a pizza expert and this is probably the best pizza that I've had so far in so. cal. good high quality everything. Awesome stringy, gooey cheese and a medium is like eating a large. Waitresses are just ok, they can be slow and not very personable. I have had a few incidents with the take out service and the hostess keeping me on hold for 11 minutes when all i wanted to ask is what time they close. Or another time when we stood there in front of her for over 10 minutes with open seating available and was never told just a minute or anything. I think we were ignored because closing time was about a half hour away. We walked out that night. They now charge for bread if you get more than one basket, what a joke. Most of the customer service is consistently not over-friendly. Our large family has been going there for 40 years and sadly I will still go there, but not as much as I used to. All the food there is delouses. On the other hand the Service is horrible. The host and Waiters are rude and all they do is sit around and gossip more

My Husband & I Live in West L..A. and travel to San Gaberial Valley alllll the time for massages...My husband being retired, so allll we do is Travel & Eat Out....I am here to tell you Petrillo's has amazing food & we rave to all our friends & take them their also,donr this for a few years now....people that are doing these hateful reviews are just JERKS.....PERIOD! I used to live in Cali about 15 minutes from Petrillo's and have it at least once a week. Now I'm in Sin City, but every trip to Cali includes at least one trip to Petrillo's. It's the best pizza I've ever tasted. If you get a chance, you've gotta try it. Pros: The food by far Cons: Parking more

I just picked up my order from Petrillo's this evening and all I can say is I'm never going back to Domino's and the likes. I didn't know there was such a good pizza joint in the San Gabriel Valley. The cheese and toppings on their special are amazing. more

I have had dined all over the US and this is by far my favorite pizza restaurant. Unfortunatly, someone left a scathing review. I have found the service to be very good. If I I was displeased , I would not resort to childish name calling. By resorting to such immature behavior you have proven that you are an unresonable person. This is a small business with a limited amount of staff. It is difficult to serve a large group even in in the finest restaurants. If a reservation is for 34 people, you are holding about half the tables in the little establishment from people waiting dine. Those patrons are no doubt pressing the hostess to be seated as well. I suggest people try Petrillo's for themselves and enjoy the best pizza ever. Pros: great food Cons: I have to drive quite a bit to get there more

In 1975 my wife and I left California to become residents of Alaska. I can truly say that the only thing we miss about SoCal are the great pizzas we used to get at Petrillos. Yes you often had to stand in line before you could get a table and they didn't deliver but it was always worth the wait for their great pizzas. I don't think I've ever had a better pizza anywhere including the 4 years I spent in New York while in the Air Force. If we ever go back for a visit there is no doubt Petrillos will be at the top of our list of of places to visit. Pros: Best pizza anywhere Cons: None I can think of. more
