Not for lightweights 7/6/2003

Starting with a classic homemade dough, these people don't know when enough is enough! They then pile it so high with succulent meats and fresh vegetables, you'll need help carrying it out. Absolutely the best PIzza ever. Don't even try to compare it to those cracker crust chains like Papa John's or Dominos. This is REAL Pizza with a real crust, real toppings and real sauce. Even a big eater like me can only put away about three slices at a seating. You can taste and feel the texture of the crust and cheeses and sauce. The sausage is delicous and gives you a nice slightly spicy kick that is worth going our of your way for. Pros: Delicious, Filling, Mouthwatering Cons: Pricey, only 2 locations more

This is THE BEST Pizza place in LA/SGV. Try it and you will never go back to anything else. High quality toppings, and lots of them too!! It's not the cheapest, but after you have it, you will gladly pay it. more

Petrillo's Pizza 3/7/2003

I am now 28 years old and I have been going to Petrillo's all my life. This is the best pizza there is and the only thing that hasn't changed in the neighborhood. I know live in Orange County and it is worth the drive. more

my favorite 2/18/2003

I may be a little biased since I grew up on this pizza but the pepperoni pizza has a unique taste that no other pizza matches. I still on occassion drive, way out of my way to pick up a pizza to go. (And I have a crappy commute) They would absolutely DOMINATE pizza in the SGV if they would deliver. As for the other food, it's good too. more

Family Affair 1/8/2003

Whether it's a birthday or just a Friday night, my family always chooses Petrillo's. We order a large pizza at least 3 times a month. At first glance, their slices may seem small, but once you begin to eat you, you realize how satisfying and filling it truely is. Since the pizza is cut into square slices, the middle ones without any crust are my favorite. Pros: not enough parking more

I've been dining (and taking out) in this place since 1980. This is the best place in East Couty Los Angeles for a romantic dinner. The pizza is awesome to take out especially on boxing fight nights. Give it a try and you won't regret it. Pros: Good food, Inexpensive, friendly staff more

I moved to Springfield, MO in 1995. There are very few things I miss in Southern California. The beaches, the mexican food, the weather, and Petrillos Pizza. My dad first took me there when I was only a small boy, but I will never forget that flavor. Undoubtledly, the best pizza I've ever had. more

The Secret's in the Sauce! 12/5/2002

In over 50 years, and hundreds of restaurants, I've never had better pizza than Petrillo's. Although I will eat other pizza, I always come back to Petrillo's excellent sauce and crust. The toppings are varied and generous. I've made the 25 minute drive many times over the years, and will for as long as they make pizza. Eat in or take out, they are the best in the business. Pros: take out, inexpensive, nice employees Cons: limited parking, noisy dining room, can't buy 1 slice! more

Excellent Pizza 12/2/2002

Their best pizza is their ""special"" with everything on top. We normally get the family size one which feeds about 10 hungry men. I normally don't like to have alot of toppings on my pizza, but here at Petrillo's I LOVE their toppings. Their toppings are fresh and crunchy and their sausage topping is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! I've never eaten there, but have always taken the pizza to go. This is a great place to order pizza for a party, superbowl, potluck, etc. Pros: Good Value more

this is far the best pizza in the world. archie is the owner and he is a great owner and so is his wife and staff. they all work together and make it an ajoyable dinner. it is a great palse to have a good dinner and the house bear is really good Pros: great food, great prices, great servise Cons: nothing, nothing, nothing more

It's the Best and worth the drive 11/15/2002

I've been a Happy Customer for 22 years I always order a large with pepperoni and sausauge with half jalapenos, sometimes extra cheese and thick crust. The use quality ingrediants and worth the drive from Boyle Heights. I will not eat anything but Petrillo's Pros: Inexpensive, Quality Ingrediants, Good Takeout Service more

yesss....petrillo's pizza....mmm mmm good! Their restaurant is great for a romantic cozy dinner, plus they offer a variety of wines. They also deliver fresh hot pizza's. The mozarella sticks are to die for. 5 stars for petrillo's pizza. more
