We are so happy we went with Ohio State Waterproofing and not some no name company. Ron, the foreman, and his crew were polite and professional. Ron answered all of our questions and was very meticulous with his work. They took extra care to cover the floors and stairs, and cleaned up after the job was done. The job itself only took 2 days, and we now have a nice, dry, worry free basement. Thank you Ron and company for a great experience. more

We were very pleased with all the work that took place. We found Matt, the foreman, and his crew to be pleasant, polite, and hard-working. Matt, in particular, communicated with us throughout all the work. He asked us each morning if we had any questions from the previous day’s work and patiently answered any questions we had while the work was in progress. He consulted with us when necessary, for example, with the placement of the dry well. The crew minimized the effects of their work around the outside of our home, using plastic sheeting liberally to protect areas that had material stored on them, and saving as many plants as possible by carefully digging them out, watering them, and then later replanting them. One of Matt’s workers (Tim ?), in particular, took great care with the plants. Inside, the crew covered all of our appliances and various belongings with plastic. They did an excellent job cleaning the walls and filling in the spaces between the foundation stones. The crew worked well together and obviously knew what they were doing at each stage of the operation. We were especially grateful that the whole job was completed in one week. My basement was very damp and wet in spots. It was leading to mold coming upstairs in the bedrooms and bathroom. I called Ohio State Waterproofing and they were quick to come and give me an estimate. Two months later the crew was here to start my job. It only took them three days to finish the job. It looked very good when they were done. It has been about 3 weeks now and the basement feels much dryer and smells much better nothing like a basement. The clean up job was pretty good however the stairs going down to the basement were still pretty dirty and the railing and door was also pretty dirty. They filled in most of the cracks in my walls and everything was concreted well where they dug around the inside of the house. The workers were very courteous and easy to talk to. I am pretty pleased with the job done. I noticed that an area by my well was not filled in where they dug. Overall I think they did a pretty good job. I called because they did not fill in the holes around where they put my pump in and they came within two days and took care of it. Kathleen Carpenter more

We liked what the salesman had to say and were very pleased with the workmanship and professional crew. Our project was completed in only 2 days and passed our city's inspection. For the last year, we cringed at the sight of rain in the forecast. With Ohio State Waterproofing, the fear of rain is gone. It's been raining for the last 3 hours, and, I can sit here and write a review instead of in the basement with towels and a shop vac.The crew took only 2 days to complete my basement. Let me start by stating, "Whatever the company is paying Mike H. they should double it." By far he is one of the best company reps they have. He is courtesy, respectful and takes the time to listen. You can also count on Mike to tell you how much he loves the company. OSW has resolved our water problem (we hope), so we feel confident enough to go ahead and replace our carpeting in the living room. If we continue to pay a small annual fee the company will continue to perform warranty work at no charge. I would like to add that all the service workers have always been polite and informative as to what they will be doing. Now, on the negative side. OSW should consider investing in customer service training for the employees that take calls. Monday, March 5th I called to find out the time frame that the service people would be arriving since I did not get the customary call. The man I spoke with said they left a message and then read the phone number to me. I told him it was an incorrect number they called and all he said was, it was the number they had. I stated that was not the number given and I was not the person that wrote it down. His response? No apology for the error, just a repeat of the time frame, given with attitude. I would suggest if you are having a problem, ask for Mike, he is the go to guy as far as I'm concerned. If nothing else he will always treat you with respect. In the end, my husband and I are satisfied with OSW and are hopeful there will be no need to contact them in the furture. more

the salesman that come to my house sat on my couch for almost five hours to wait for me to sign papers.i done the stuipd thing and sign the paper work to get him out of my house.i called a different guy that does the same thing that ohio state says they are the only ones that can do it because they got patents on there work word of advice pay some one else more money then waste your time with ohio state and have a couch that is not the same as before you called them. more

After reading these comments its a wonder how this company is still in business you name it they are horrible at it depending on who you talk to they will all give you a different story. 2nd time out to reseal my exterior wall claims it was a bad drainage from gutter meanwhile my gutters are clogged with leaves and makes reference that this whats causing my walls to be cracking from water sealant paint. This company is as corrupt as our previous county represenatives how you can get away with horrinle work damage peoples property and still claim to be the best is beyond me. Do yourself a favor and do it yourself these guys they send out are common thugs probably hire them weekly im sure no customer service skills no respect no communication betwren anyone then you have a lady call to see how work was completed and she makes excuses and says oh you might have bowing in your walls how you waterproofed it? Really please run from them for your own sake more

Ohio State Waterproofing did the interior of my basement walls in December. They were able to move our schedule date up from late January. The crew showed up on time and finished on time. They covered adjacent finishes during the process, although their final clean up was not great. They were certainly not inexpensive, but they did a nice job. more

We felt "bullied" into choosing Ohio State Waterproofing and the cost is definitely higher than most other places. If I had to do it all over again, I would not choose them. On a positive note, the crew that did the actual work were fantastic! They were courteous, very professional and quick. They kept me informed of the the entire process and answered any questions I had. It's been almost 1 month and the basement has remained dry. more

We recently had a crew waterproof our home in Strongsville. The men were polite and courteous. They arrived on time and made sure too keep my floor surfaces protected and clean. Bill, the foreman, made sure we were informed throughout the entire process and was willing to answer any questions or concerns. The men were very engaging with my 3 yr old nephew and all his questions. After completion the clean up was great. For such a large project it was a very easy process for us. They came recommended from my sister who had bought a 75 yr old home that had a 20 yr old warranty from OSWP. We she moved in to her home, she called on the warranty and OSWP transferred the warranty and re-installed the entire perimeter drains free of charge. Upon scheduling my estimate/inspection, the salesman/inspector(Jeff) was very flexible to meet my schedule. He explained the product very well. Being a contractor myself, I had questions. I had other prices that were lower, however I felt very comfortable buying the Warranty. Additionally, when the installation crew arrived, I reviewed the job with the foreman, Michael and he was very well prepared. I was sure I made a good decision when I was inspecting the job on the second day after work and physically saw water on the inside of the basement in the perimeter excavations. I realized then that my salesman Jeff clearly identified my cause of water issue. On the third day the job took a turn for the worse. Michael's crew was putting on the finishing touches and I feel that they lacked the attention to detail that gave them the ability to closeout the job as quickly as they did. I was not at all satisfied with the finished product. After refusing to pay in full, I was able to speak with Michael's supervisor and setup a review of the job. His supervisor James was sympathetic to my concerns and he scheduled a crew to rework all of the problem areas for the very next day. The second crew was the A Team. They really did a good job. They even hosed down my driveway. It has rained a couple times since my installation and my basement is dry. In all, I am pleased with my overall experience and I feel comfortable knowing that even though there is always the possibility that my basement might leak again, I have a warranty with a company that has a reputation of honoring it. more

Good: JenninferD located in Willowick, Ohio thought the crew who did the work were awesome. They carefully moved all our furniture and covered it before they began to work. They informed us of each step they took and always asked if we had any questions. They completed the work in 3 days, which was amazing considering they waterproofed both inside and outside the house. After the work was done, they cleaned up everything. The work was efficent, quick and clean.. Bad: My experience with the sales rep was not a good one. He was very informative and really showed us what a wonderful product ohio state waterproofing provides. The issue was when we were advised of the expense and needed time to discuss and said we were getting other quotes. The sales rep became very aggresive and rude. There was no consideration of the seriousness of the decision that needed to be made. We felt pressured to move forward without getting other quotes.. Improvements: Not sure there is anything you could do.....when they dug up the inside of the basement, there was a smell that was strong enough to travel upstairs. I understand that there would be a smell, you are exposing earth and using jack hammers. Maybe you could provide air freshners or something that may minimize the smell. We did have the ez breathe instaled, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Once the work was completed, the smell was gone.. Other: After our experience with the sales rep, I will say we had second thought about going with ohio state waterproofing. When we had the stabl-wall installed, we immediately noticed a difference with the water coming in. But it really wasn't until our Foreman and his crew did the rest of the work that made us feel like we made the right decision. They were wonderful. They treated my home like their own. Becasue of that, I will tell people to choose ohio state waterproofing for their yuckie basement needs.. more
