Ohio State Waterproofing

The sales rep needed both my husband and I to be present. It was a 3 hour sales pitch with video and extensive sales talk. We gave him a deposit and signed a form that we had 3 days to reconsider. After one day we decided to cancel. We weren't really given 3 days because he left at 9:00pm on Friday and dated the form until Tuesday. So, I called and said I would Express the signed cancellation form, but the receptionist said that the sales rep would be in my town that day and he can pick up the cancellation form, will only take 5 minutes. He arrived along with another man, introduced as someone with "higher" power in the financing end, since we originally were going to finance this job. We told them we couldn't do the job because we were in plans of refinancing the house and getting this job down on credit would ruin our chances to refinance. They PUSHED to go with "their" bank to refinance, etc...we insisted NO...after an hour and a half they left, had to ask them for my deposit back!!! BUT at the end of the week I receive an approved credit card with my name and Ohio State Waterproofing on it and a credit report. So, in short, they ran my credit, submitted my finances. all without my consent.....so please don't give them any info....... more

Please pleade please dont use them. My friend did and after being out four times he still has water in the basement. more

Worse company ever. I used them paid out the behind and my basement has flooded 5 times since. Their answer to it was use some towels to stop the flooding. As if towels will stop 20 inches of rain every 10 seconds. And they then told me after my basement flooded a second time after their tech came out and stated it was their fault and that they werent able to come for 3 weeks meanwhile my basement has been destroyed. DONT EVER USE OHIO STATE WATERPROOFING more

I had done much reviewing of this company. Everyone I had spoken to was very professional and thorough as to what they do to fix basement water issues. They are almost like teachers, as I am, in explaining all about why I have damage and how they will combat it. They came to my door on the day they said they would. They were polite and explained each day's plan. The workers were respectful and did such a clean, thorough, complete waterproofing of my basement. I would recommend this company to anyone who asks. Osw ripped off my senior citizen parents! There basement flooded just a few weeks after the job was done. The basement still has that damp musty smell. The outside work they did was horrible , the concrete is uneven and falling apart around the house. I would rather live with my damp, musty basement then have them come and make it worse! If you see osw in your neighborhood lock your doors and don't let them in. Kathy more

Everyone worries about whether or not basement waterproofing works. Well, its going on nine years and everything is still great. We've had a lot of rain and water and the basement and foundation is still bone dry. Ohio State Waterproofing was professional all the way from the quote through finished product. They dug up the outside, the inside, put in a sump pump and we were worried - would it work. A couple of years after it was done, we found a leak. Called and they came right out and fixed it. Ours was a big job - would we recommend them! Its not a today job, its a lifetime and they were there and were great through everything. You want people you can count on - count on Ohio State Waterproofing. more

We have used this company since we moved into our current home over ten years ago and they have always been very helpful and courteous. We have had to have our sump pump replaced twice and Ohi,State Waterproofing has been extremely helpful. They came out right away and replaced the broken pump at no charge to us. We love the warranty program. It is only $40.00 a year and has covered anything we have needed fixed. We are thrilled with their services!!!!!! Sincerely, VMCawley more

We have been an Ohio State Waterproofing customer since 1997. The crew was very professional when we originally had our work done. Last winter we had a problem which they were very good about correcting. As cold as it was outside the crew was very efficient in getting the work done. Also when I call their office to renew my yearly warranty the girls on the phone are very professional and courteous. more

After an unusually heavy rain, I noticed lots of water coming from multiple points in my basement. Other members of my family had already had waterproofing from Ohio State, and I knew of their good reputation. I called and was able to set up an appointment later that same week. The salesperson was extremly helpful and courteous, and explained all the issues common to leaking basements and what issues he thought I had. They were able to fit my appointment in within the following week. When the crew showed up, they got right to work, and the entire project was completed in one day. Their crew was very friendly and cleaned up after they were finished. I would reccomend to anyone who needs waterproofing that they use Ohio State Waterproofing! more
