Several years back we faced the unenviable task of having our basement waterproofed. We needed to face the fact that our still relatively new construction home had damp walls in several spots. As we were looking to extend the finished area of our basement, we decided to make a commitment to ensuring we had a dry basement. We engaged Ohio State for the job and have never looked back. They worked diligently over an uninterrupted period to seal us from both the inside and outside. We have been bone dry ever since. They added two additional sun-pumps and we're careful to work around or cover-up our furniture and possessions. Waterproof roofing is messy business, and Ohio State made sure the job was done right and that our home was put back in order. We ended up adding substantial finished areas to our basement and have been very satisfied. (dr) more

BEFORE WE HAD OSW PUT INTO OUR HOME, IT WAS A NIGHTMARE EACH TIME WE HAD RAIN. THE WATER RUSHED INTO OUR BASEMENT THROUGH THE DOOR, WE HAD MOLD EVERYWHERE AND WHAT WAS A NICE BASEMENT BECAME UNUSABLE. We moved into a home that had already installed the waterproofing in the basement from Ohio State Waterproofing. We have since purchased and have had installed two battery operated back-up pumps from them. They are very courteous, prompt and willing to address any problem we have had in the past. Both on the phone and in person they are very professional and friendly. They do excellent work and follow-up to make sure there are no questions or concerns. Excellent company! more

Ohio State Waterproofing System waterproofed my basement 2 years ago. About a year after it had been waterproofed, water was coming up through the floor of the basement and caused a lot of damage to the drywall and carpet. The service men took two weeks to come out to fix the problem. I had a hole in the floor that water eroded the concrete. They threw hydralic cement over it. Problem is, now we don't know where the problem is. I may end up getting a hole somewhere else. Also, THE WARRANTY IS JUST GOOD FOR LABOR. DO NOT LET THEM TEAR DRYWALL OUT TO FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ANYTHING THAT IS RUINED. You will have to call your insurance company but they will not cover anything that the service men tear up to replace the problem. The point is, they charge a lot of money (in my case 13k) and do have a good system. However, you can get the same system (in my case 7k) for half the price with no warranty. This is better because even if I had to have it fixed, it wouldn't cost 6k. They don't repair anything other than what needs fixed so don't let them sell you on the warranty. It is a scam. Look elsewhere. There are a lot of good choices for half the price. more

My basement has been giving my problems ever since I moved in. Now I can actually use the thing for more than just luandry and storage! I put in a weight set and moved a lot of junk out of there. I think I'm going to put in a surround sound system and a tv too! I really feel like I have three levels to my home now instead of tow levels and storage! more

I want to thank the crew from Ohio State Waterproofing for all the work and effort that they displayed while working on our basement. There was problem at the start of the job concerning the discharge pipe, and the crew leader handled the problem effectively and professionally. From covering existing basement material to the care of the outdoor landscaping, the employees of Ohio State Waterproofing were excellent. The employees' workmanship was of superior standard, very thorough, as well as sensitive to existing property. Ohio State Waterproofing should be glad to have such a work force representing their company. I live in Warren, OH. However, the salesman, with whom I signed the contract did not do a very thorough job with his inspection. He did not inspect my discharge pipe and made the assumption that it was big enough for their sump pump. It wasn't. He even took pictures of the inside of the house. His assumption cost me an extra $1,000 on top of an already expensive job. It would have cost me over $2,000 if the production supervisor hadn't cut me a break. I was kind of stuck, I had already put money on the contract and the crew was here. I felt backed into a corner. Just for the shoddy salesmanship, I would have a very hard time recommending this company to any of my friends. more

The crew from Ohio State Waterproofing just finished up our basement in Conneaut and we were extremely happy with their work. They were polite and professional in all aspects of the installation. They had quite a task with our radiant floor tubing in the concrete but they were careful and did a fantastic job. We are looking forward to a dry basement and having our family room back. These guys just finished up waterproofing our basement in Brewster and we are so happy with the results so far! The crew that worked on it was very friendly and respectful. They are very knowledgeable in what they do and it showed. We even had the stable wall installed and it looks great! They are a very professional team and when they left, the basement and landscaping was as if they weren't ever there. We are looking forward to having a dry basement and walls that aren't cracking. Understood our problem. Were friendly, and made us feel important. Explained all there options for waterproofing, and all payment options. Work crew came to work on time, were friendly as well. Explained what they were doing and how, asked our input on where the sump pump would go. When they were done foremen went over what they did in detail, explained how the sump pump worked. Crew cleaned up everything, didnt seam like they were here. If you are waterproofing these are the guys to do it!! more
