It was a long time that Ohio State Waterproofing did its work at our home, so we called and asked them to come and examine the work that they did. I quickly received a phone call setting up the appointment. The tech arrived on time, examined their work previously done, and assured us that everything was fine. He was professional, considerate, knowledgeable and respectful. I do not hesitate to refer OSW to anyone I know that needs the kind of service that they provide. RV more

When we purchased our (almost century) home the first thing we noticed after a few days was that our so-called finished basement always smelled musty. During rain storms the corners of the carpet became damp and wet. Water was seeping in somehow. Although we never had any "standing water", there was constantly moist damp areas. Ohio State Waterproofing thoroughly checked out our damage and assessed what we would need to get it in shape to be refinished. Ohio State Waterproofing requires that both the husband and wife be there for the estimate...they scare you into their high pressure sales...After they give you a $15K estimate...wait for a couple of weeks and they will come down to about $ 4K. Just get at Least get two estimates before signing anything with these guys. Our neighbor got a quote from ____________ waterproofing for about $ 2,650.00. Ohio State's price was...wait for it...$ 13,250.00!!! Two weeks later, they got a call from Ohio State saying that their office ordered too much material and will reduce the estimate to $ 10,000.00 if they could come out that day to get a signature. Another two weeks (or 10 days) went by and they called again to lower the price to less that $ 8,000.00. By this time the job had already been completed by the first company. Yet...Ohio State actually called two more times to lower their price...never coming close to the competitor's price....Again, always get two estimates...or three if possible. more

When me moved into our house in 1986, we found shortly after that our basement sat on a watertable. After a big rain, the water would seep in around the baseboards. We called for numerous contractors for estimates, and felt that Ohio State Waterproofing were the most reasonable and professional. They took care of our problem and now 26 years later we have never had another issue with water in our basement. So thankful that we chose OSW to fix our water problem. more

I just received a quote from the two gentleman that visited me. They first drove by my house and didn't stop in. 5 minutes later they come in and tell me they are just in the area, and that "my guy" is tied up on another job. They then explain they cant give me a quote till my wife's home. They leave and say they will come back in 20 minutes, within 1 minute they are back to give me "the quick preview." letting me know im lucky they are going to make an exception to the rule. Yea right. Fancy Ipod presentations and high pressure short sale offers. Very little confidence in a thing they told me. Next time send the people that do the work and can have an honest conversation. Not your commission based sales reps. Its embarrassing to you. On to the next quote.... more

We inherited a basement waterproofed by Ohio State Waterproofing when we purchased our home. We have had absolutely no problems with the work that was done and would highly recommend the annual renewal of your warranty. Shortly after we renewed our warranty last year, our sump pump went out and Ohio State immediately replaced the unit, no questions asked. Great service! more

I've had Ohio state waterproofing for 25 years and I've only had one water problem due to improper installation of gutter drains which was not installed by OSW. They came out and immediately dug down to find the problem and redirected the gutters and resealed the outside wall. They have also inspected system upon my request to make sure sump pump is working properly. Good foundation control system and very good service. more

I purchased my home over 18 years ago, primarily for its size, location and the fact that the basement had been recently waterproofed by Ohio State Waterproofing. i have not had any problems with the service or with water coming into the basement. Over the years, I have had the sump pump replaced -- as it was older (free of charge). I am currently looking for another home and I have told my agent to find a home that has been waterproofed, preferably by Ohio State, in fact, I have called the company to see if the can "clean-up/fix" problems that other companies have created, any they said they do it all the time. My basement is clean and it smells fresh. One of my neighbors came in my home through my side door and she could not believe that she could not smell a damp smell from my basement. In fact, she wanted to see the basement and the laundry room. I told her it is due to my good housekeeping and Ohio State Waterproofing. Even if you do not use your basement, you want it dry. A wet basement does damage to your foundation and much more...mold, etc. I feel that Ohioi State Waterproofing is the best. For a minimal fee each year ($25-35), I can maintain my peace of mind for the lifetime of this home, regardless of the owner! more

The original saleperson was arrogant and condescending, but based on his knowledge and thorough explanation and the fact that neighbors had used Ohio State Waterproofing a few years ago and were very satisfied, I signed the contract. I was glad I did. The foreman, Bill, and his crew were prompt each morning, courteous in their manner, and worked diligently throughout the time they were here. Even though the footprint of my house is relatively small, I was amazed that they completed everything in three days. They paid attention to detail, used care in moving appliances and other large cabinets, and kept me informed as the job progressed. The men on the crew appeared to get along well and to be motivated to do good work, which speaks well of trainers and managers. The basement looks great and doesn't smell damp and moldy anymore. We have had a very positive experience with the work accomplished for us by OSW. Our crawl space had major water issues, and the work was extensive to correct the problem. We have not had any further problems since the work was done, and we have always found the company to be efficient and courteous. We also gain comfort from the warranty that is provided for the work performed. more

I had Ohio State Waterproofing make my basement liveable again. Water was pouring in around the door frames and through the blocks on my basement walls. It smelled musty all the time. It no longer smells and there is no water in my basement. When it rained, I dreaded going home. Now I just smile and say thank you Ohio State. I don't worry about it anymore. This is the second home I have had Ohio State fix my basement water problems. I would highly recommend Ohio State. Their crew was courteous and went right to work and in several days had the outside and inside done. I called about a problem with a pipe that had been missed and they were right there to fix it.
