Thrilled Experience 9/19/2011

My car died in the rainy rush hour on I-45 last night. When I did eventually get it to start, the ABS brake light stayed on. Having recently moved here from Oregon, I had no idea where to take my car to be serviced. I searched online and ran across Lucas Auto Care. I was thrilled about the entire experience and wanted to make sure everyone else heard about this place. If you are looking for a trustworthy honest mechanic, this is the place! more

Emintently Reasonable! 9/17/2011

I always recommend Lucas Auto Care without hesitation. As others have said, they are knowledgeable, patient and eminently reasonable. One time in particular I brought my car in for a thorough going-over, to replace a headlight, change the oil, etc. They did all that, plus some, discussed some ongoing oil-leakage issues with me (ah, Subarus) and said they thought it would be fine to take a wait-and-see approach because they didn't see any leakage (when's the last time a mechanic said *that* to you??). . They've been doing this forever, and they are the best - support them without hesitation! more

Say so-long to negative thoughts about your mechanic! 9/14/2011

Say so-long to thoughts like, ""Is my mechanic totally ripping me off (again)?"" Tyger saved me from buying a lemon! A dealer tried to sell me a car that had been in a major accident (without telling me about it). Lucas Auto Care is not the cheapest car place in town, but if you want it done fast and done right, it's the only place to go. Everyone needs an honest and reliable mechanic they can trust. This is the only mechanic in Houston that will touch my car from now on. I'm tempted to keep him a secret, but as a business owner myself, I have to express my gratitude to Tyger for taking care of me and my family. Thank you! more

Trip Ready! 9/14/2011

I took my well-worn car here before a road trip out to California, and boy am I glad I did. I had a few major repairs and some smaller tuneups that would put my car in the safe category for such a long drive. I took it in the day before my trip, and Tyger and his guys were able to complete all of the repairs by the end of the next business day. Because of so many repairs, I decided to not change my wiper blades or fluid top offs. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that he had thrown those in, no charge, when I came to pick up my car. Needless to say, my car made the trip without even a hiccup. Throughout the entire process from start to finish, Lucas Auto Care was professional, super friendly, and sincere. I would highly recommend them to anyone. more

This place is the best! 9/6/2011

This place is the best! I just got my 03 Audi A4 convertible serviced yesterday for an O2 sensor as well as spark plugs and coils and I am so fascinated with the results. I totally recommend them and I am so happy I have finally found an honest, reliable and reasonably priced place I can trust to get the job done. I thought I'd be stuck with having to go to the dealer. I live in Katy, but the drive is well worth it! more

I love the service at Lucas. 9/1/2011

I love the service at Lucas. They were recommended to me by a friend, and I will recommend them to every citysearcher on here. I've had oil changes and repairs done here on my cayanne and the price is very reasonable You are always greeted with a smile and if you have questions they'll answer them without making you feel like an idiot, which is typical of many other car shops. If something major ever goes wrong with my car, I would trust them to fix it well and at a fair price, without trying to scare me into services I don't need. thanks gary more

Have never had this kind of service at an automotive repair shop, and I have unfortunately had to visit my share. These are nice, warm people who understand the value of customer service. They provide honest answers to any car question you have and never advise you to pay for more than what is absolutely necessary. I have been there twice and left within half hour and with two quick fixes that they didn't charge me for. They understand that if you give people honest and good advice and prices they will come back. And I do. more

Tyger has worked on my car for the past couple of years, and he and his employees are always friendly and professional. As a woman, I appreciate the fact that he's respectful and doesn't treat me like an idiot. As someone who isn't an expert in auto repair, I appreciate the fact that he's always willing to explain how things work and show me what needs to be done. I called around to compare prices the first few times I went in, and Lucas seemed to be among the best. more

Wonderful 8/25/2011

Confidence in a shop that will meet your cars needs the first time can be nerve-wrecking and with a ""check engine"" light and squeaky brakes, a trip to the car shop can be more than intimidating. Well, that's where Lucas Auto Care comes in. I drop the car off that morning and by the evening they tell me not only are there zero problems with my car, but I owe them zero dollars!! Wow...... I feel like I owe them something! Bet you this...I would travel from Louisiana to take my car there if I had to .... these guys are the only place for real car service in the south! more

great experience recently 8/24/2011

Just had an awesome experience with a dead battery and oil change here while I was over at the Top Donut's store...getting my donut on. Great service, Awesome Donut's (I'll try and do maintenance in the morning so I can walk across the little curb) and the staff was really friendly. Doing some major work on my moms car so we'll see how it goes! Will keep updates on the great experiences I have here more

Great mechanics 8/23/2011

Like everyone else says, Anton is a great mechanic. I don't know anything about cars and at first I was wary about how much I had to pay for service, but it was totally worth it. He explains everything he's going to do and doesn't pressure you or make you feel guilty about not fixing something right away. more

I called them to see if they could make a slight adjustment to a job they did a few months back.... When I called, the owner Tyger was, as always super nice and friendly with me. They fixed it and I also had them rotate my tired and fix a slow leak. Their prices are great! You seriously have to try these guys! more

The only place I truly trust with my car. Excellent communication and service. Been a loyal customer to this place for few years now. They will get to the bottom of any issue, and if there is any minor issues with your vehicle they will fix it for you with no additional charge. I recommend this spot to everyone! more

They make things right 8/18/2011

I took my Honda in for some maintenance, and while they fixed the issue inside my car? They had grease left on the inside of my interior. The car drives great and everything else on the vehicle is working like clock work but the fact that they had left grease inside the inside of the car it was frustrating, They had called me the next day to check up on the vehicle and make sure ask if everything was ok. I told the owner Tyger about the inside and he told me that they would do a detail and carwash on my vehicle at no charge, after getting it done my car not only drives great but it looks great too, I really appreciate the fact that they took the time out of their day to make sure I was satisfied. more

Friendly 8/17/2011

We've been taking our cars to Lucas for about five years now, for services ranging from a basic oil change to a complete fuel injection system cleaning, and while they are a little more expensive than other shops, I have always felt the work they do is top notch and I've never gotten the impression that they were trying to upsell some unnecessary service or maintenance. On the occasions that an inspection has turned up something, they've always given me options and been realistic about how much longer I might wait before having to fix it. Throw in friendly service at the counter, a clean and comfortable lobby area, and you've got yourself a great service shop. more

COME ON. 8/17/2011

This place is amazing. I dropped my car off on a Friday morning to have them investigate a little shake that seemed to be happening at 40+ mph. They told me over the phone when making my appointment that it was most likely just the tires needing to be balanced, but I decided to do the full car checkup anyhow. A few hours after dropping my car off I got a call telling me that my tires were the problem, and then they listed (in the most amazing and clear detail I've ever gotten from an auto shop) some of the other issues that I COULD take care of then, if I so chose. I wasn't ready to drop a big chunk of money right then, and instead of pressuring me and telling me my car was going to blow up the second I drove it off the lot, they told me ""alright"" I mean COME ON. Has that ever happened at any other auto shop anywhere EVER? more
