We've been using Lee Company for several years now and I can say without question that they are totally committed to you as a customer. I've read some of the negative reviews and I think some people expect pure perfection from a company and that's just unrealistic. \r \r We use Lee Company for all of our heating and air conditioning needs. We've called them for a few plumbing problems, and we even use them for our home security alarm systems. So, I'd say we've had a lot of overall encounters and experience with them that gives us a great assessment of how they operate in general. \r \r Every single time we've needed Lee Company, they are quick to respond, and their technicians are of the utmost in professionalism. They even put on shoe covers when they enter my house so that they don't mess up my floors and carpeting!!! \r \r Several weeks ago our entire HVAC system went out. It was getting old so we knew it would happen at some point in the next few years. Lee Company was at our house within a few hours trying to diagnose the issues and get our house back to being cool again. The next day, although we had to replace our entire unit, they were there working into the night to make sure it was done right; and, the system the installed is much more efficient and is actually lowering our monthly bill. \r \r The technician, installers, and the salesman they sent out to assess the situation never gave us the impression that they were trying to up-sell us or pressure us at all with the options of trying to pick the right unit for our home. In fact, for what we needed, they suggested a mid-grade system that would meet all of our needs. It has been awesome. \r \r Lastly, if you do a little background research about this company, you'll find that they are always in the paper or local media as one one of the best places to work in Middle Tennessee. They give back to the community on so many different levels; which makes me want to do business with them even more. more

I recently had Lee Company come and repair a couple of lighting issues in our dinning room, install a couple of faucets in our master bathroom and complete our annual heating maintenance on our furnace. They scheduled the plumber, electrician and HVAC technician all at the same time, which was a blessing because it allowed me to return back to work by mid-morning. Everyone showed up on time, the repairs went perfect and I saved some extra money by paying only on service fee since I was having multiple jobs done. Well done, Lee Company! more

Great Service, Great Value. I, along with my family and friends have used Lee Company for years. Recently we had a leak in our bathroom on a Saturday night. We called Lee Company, a technician arrived within the hour and everything was repaired. The technician even helped me clean up the water from the leak. Because I am a plan member, I didn't have to pay any after hours fees. I will always call Lee Company when I have a problem with my home. more

I would never recommend doing business with Lee Co. We had a terrible experience with a service technician that did damage in our home. This damage was verified by the phone company and a local electrician. It cost us in terms of economic and security service loss. We will not go into the details, but Lee refused to honor the very real loss in economic terms. We had been a long term customer of Lee Co. (almost eight years). We had always paid on time and had purchased a new HVAC unit just a few months ago. So we had proven through our performance that we were a reliable and trustworthy customer, not prone to complaints or arguments. When we finally experienced something worthy of complaint, they dumped us to the curb and refused to honor any of the damages that they caused us. Essentially, they called us liars, despite written reports from the electrician. Under no circumstances would I allow one of their personnel into your home. If they disservice you, they will not stand behind their work and will prefer to lose you as a customer than fix what they have broken. more

Getting ready to test the commitment to service 9/10/2011

Update: 2 years ago beginning in March we had Lee undertake some home remodeling for ust...we have continued to have problems with the bathrooms & plumbing aspects in particular. \r \r A week ago I placed a(nother) call to Lee Co. following a diagnostic visit from a competitor (tried to get Lee out here but they didn't respond to message left Friday). As of today, Lee Company has come out & agreed that they need to provide a remedy to this issue, including drywall repair of the ceiling in the kitchen where the most recent problem manifested itself, re-doing all the tile in our master shower to add a liner/pan for the entire thing, and repainting our ceiling downstairs upon successful completion of the bathroom work. This morning was the day that work started - I am sure that I'll come home to a mess but it is a welcome start to a problem that it appears Lee Company is standing up & taking responsibility for. I am pleased thus far with the communication and response once they did respond, and look forward to complete satisfaction & the ability to change the rating from sorta good to 'very good' or even 'run don't walk'! more

Reliable and Professional 7/11/2011

A bit on the pricey side, but worth it to me to have someone show up when they say they will and do the work they've committed to doing. I don't worry about upselling; they explain what is being done and why; and I am comfortable calling them for virtually everything I need in my home. To-date, I've had them repair storm damage and install and service air-conditioning units. I'm about to have them out to bid on some home improvements (hard-wood floor installations, pocket-door installations). more

Terrible Customer Service 11/13/2010

This company damaged our property accidently while making a repair. After promising in writing and verbally to make things right (four times in conversations), the company proceded to ignore our e-mails and phone calls. Even after we filed a complaint with the BBB, the comp. managed to dodge us. Now the comp. has lost our business, refused to keep its word, and damaged our property. We don't want them anywhere near our house. more

Uncaring Customer Service. 11/12/2010

For years we were happy with Lee Comp. Then, over the summer we had work done and the service man damaged our floor. He promised us that the company would take care of the damage. A Lee Comp. rep. came by and said they would fix the damage and another problem for free to make things right. Then the fun started. The ""customer service"" reps. refused to return phone calls or e-mails. The rep. who came by kept telling us that he told the home office to call us, but no one ever did. We reported it to the BBB, but the company did the same thing. A customer service rep. called. When we called back twice, she ignored the messages. The floor is still damaged, nothing has been fixed, and Lee Comp. obviously is unconcerned that they have lost our business forever and have not kept their word. more

Mixed Results 7/25/2008

I called Lee Company out for 4 things: to replace an old, defective GFCI outlet in the bathroom, to replace/rewire an old doorchime with a new one, and to replace the outdoor doorbell on both the front and back door with a new one. Cost: $133.00. They did show up on time and the electrician was polite. All seemed to go well and he completed the work. However, later that evening I recognized the lighted button on the back doorbell was not working. I called Lee back the next day, and received nothing but the run-around and a refusal to send someone back out to see why the lighted feature was not working. They said it must have been a defective doorbell, however, it was just purchased new for them to install from Home Depot. Finally spoke to a customer svc mgr who said he would send someone back out to check on it (reluctantly) but they would charge me for it. I told them to forget it, and while I should have noticed it wasn't working when it was installed, so should they and since the front doorbell was installed properly and working, I could not understand what had happened to the back doorbell. I feel they could have made it right and taken an opportunity to provide excellent customer service follow-up, but did not. So, while the majority of things went well, that one bad experience will keep me from using their company again. Pros: TImely, Polite Cons: Poor customer service follow-up more

$99 preventative maintenance 6/26/2008

I saw there ad on weather channel and called because my upstairs unit was not kicking on. Told lady on phone about upstairs unit and she indicated they would let me know issue when they do maint. and $99 included a free winter check. So for $45 clean both units and another check in Winter who could beat it.\r The bill was 198 when they were done. Installer said it's per unit which lady on phone DID NOT say and 24 hours later my compressor that was OK after maintenance blew out. They said they would send a senior tech out to look at it and 2 1/2 hours after the scheduled time tonight they same tech showed up to inspect it in the dark. They were nice enough to give me another free years maintenance like I really want them to touch my equipment in future. Installer will give me full price tomorrow but he estimated $1500 plus labor. Spent 1 hour on Prev. Maint and 5 minutes to determine I need to replace most expensive part.\r \r I would def. not recommend them. \r \r I thi more

Great customer service 2/26/2008

I have used Lee Company to repair two different Heating/Cooling units and for some plumbing needs. They schedule for a two hour window unlike most service companies (usually 4 hour window). The service men showed up on time and sometimes early. Someone called ahead to notify that they were on their way. They fixed the problems and did not try to ""upsell"" any additional repairs. As soon as the temps dropped below 20 my unit wouldn't heat over 64. My original appt was not with LEE co but LEE company came to the rescue when the other company cancelled. Hiller plumbing heating and Air cancelled on me just hours before my scheduled appt. Stating that they were booked. LEE company worked me into their already busy schedule even though it was last minute. Thank you Lee co for sending me WILL. He did a great job. I also signed up for the maintanence pack bc I thought it was a great deal. Pros: Professional, Quality Service, Great Price more

Lee Company Saved My Day and My Home 1/23/2007

Lee Company came to my home with very short notice to repair a malfunctioning gas heating system. They did the job quickly and got it right the first time. The do great work at a fair price and really know what they are doing. I had another local Franklin heating company come to my home five times to fix a problem and they never got it fixed.\r I will use Lee Company forever more. The are GREAT!!!!! GREAT SERVICE AT BREAK NECK SPEED 1/23/2007

I live in a NEW CUSTOM HOME with a NEW HV/AC system installed by Franklin Heating and Cooling, and hired to do the installation by my builder, Glen Giles. Mr. Giles apparently uses this SUB-PAR company for the HV/AC installation in most of the homes he builds. The heating system has NEVER worked properly since it was installed (almost three years ago). I've had to call Franklin Heating and Cooling at the onset of EVERY WINTER for the past three years to fix the heat. They reset something each time, but never fix the problem. At the beginning of winter of 2006 they REFUSED to come to my home to look at the same problem as the previous two winters.\r I had to find another service company authorized to repair my brand of equipment. I contacted Lee Company and they sent a guy over within TWO HOURS on the busiest day of the season (the temp was falling to 15 degrees that evening). The Lee Co. repair man fixed the problem in 30 minutes and replaced parts that costs over $600. Had I not called another repair company within the manufacturer's warrany period I would have been stuck with that costly repair. I purchased , on the spot, Lee Company's twice a year seasonal check-up package for both my downstairs and upstairs HV/AC systems.\r My TN home is a vacation home and I happened to arrive at that house for a visit on the first night of the 2006 winter season when the temps had fallen below freezing. Had I not arrived for a visit to that house when I did I would have had tens of thousands of dollars of damage from pipes bursting in my walls and all because FRANKLIN HEATING AND COOLING COULD NOT DO THEIR JOB PROPERLY. Thank God for Lee Company and the professional and courteous and competent service they provide. Pros: Fast, Responsive, Trustworthy, Polite Service People, Knowledgeable about Equip. Good place for tuneups 11/13/2005

I really like this business and have had to call them several times about my air conditioner unit. Although they were not the ones that installed it they gave me some good ideas about possible problems before I called them back and had them come to my house. They usually have a good deal on preventive tune-ups and I have never had faulty work. Their prices are also reasonable. more

Plumbing, heating, cooling and electrical repair 7/23/2005

Lee Company comes out to our house each summer to service our air conditioning and get it ready for summer and in the winter to service our heating. We have never had to have any repairs and they run very smoothly. They offer specials if you have both heating and air serviced in the same year. We also use them as our plumbers and they are always very efficient at fixing the problems. more
