A friend turned me on to Key Lime Pie a couple of years ago for waxing. I recently moved back to Atlanta and decided to try it again. I started going in every 4 to 5 weeks for eyebrow waxing and Angela is my esthetician every time- she is AMAZING! Very sweet, calm, and has a cool Bettie Page retro style to her. I decided to splurge on a facial with her. She took her time to explain different options and what would be best for my skin. I never wanted the facial to end. Also, she took her time with extractions and my nose feels so smooth and clean. The salon is split into three parts- one side is a hallway of treatment rooms, the middle is the reception and a store filled with Aveda products (it's like you've died and gone to Aveda heaven) and then the third side is the salon. When you enter they will give you a pair of comfy flip flops to put on. (I think this is so the people getting treatments won't be disturbed by loud footsteps) They also give you a hot towel and cup of Aveda tea. If I could give a ZERO, I would! I tried to book massages and mani/pedi(s) for three people for my friend's 40th birthday almost a week in advance. I called and spoke with a person named Misty on a Wednesday. She said she would try and make sure they had the personnel to cover the services. I called again on Thursday and Misty advised that she had not forgotten, but was still trying to line up personnel. I called AGAIN on Friday and spoke with someone different. I advised her that I'd been calling and just wanted an answer. There was some confusion about the services I requested, which we promptly straightened out and she advised it would be much easier to staff the appointments. Then she said that there was someone in front of her who required service and she would call me right back. Apparently my name and number were near the phone because she confirmed my cell phone number. There was NEVER a return phone call on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I called AGAIN on Monday morning (6 days now I've been trying to book 3 appointments worth $600). I spoke with Elroy and he was unhelpful. I was put on hold twice when asking about rearranging some of the services. I told him I'd been calling since last Wednesday. There was no effort to try and help me figure out a solution. I was the one trying to work it out. I promptly told him goodbye and called Natural Body Spa. This was going to be my first experience at Key Lime and needless to say I won't be calling back. I'm sticking with Natural Body. They are a tad bit more expensive, but the quality and the customer services is ALWAYS excellent no matter which location I visit. I called and got my 3 appointments with NO problem and in the time slot I requested. GO TO NATURAL BODY...you'll never consider Key Lime again! more

i had an appointment with a girl named Dana. after i tried to get in with the wonder dj who i was supposed to see but i just got passed down to Dana and a cut with a guy named Robert. i hated my highlights and cut. Dana didn't really even consult with me and was running about 40 minutes late. Robert kept talking to the girl stationed next to him and seemed uninterested. horrible service. horrible everything. never going back. Pros: nothing Cons: horrible wait. negative place. more

I love the whole experience of Key Lime Pie!! I started coming late last year in 2009. f you want great, smooth hair and a stylist that will listen to what you want, go to Jenny!! From the moment Icame in, she listened to what i wanted, and did exactly that! i have naturally wavy hair, and wanted to do something shorter with layers, and she helped me decide a good length. After we were all done, i loved it!! I'm so glad i took my hair shorter...I have been coming here ever since. Pros: staff, decor, price Cons: may have to wait on busy days more

I was trying to set up a bachelorette spa party. I called Key Lime Pie 6 times - each time they confirmed that they would call me back within the day, hour, etc to set up the details and I never received a proactive call back from them - I was the one that had to do all of the follow up. I only tried to book here because of the location and it was recommended. I have never had such awful customer service - I would never go here and will be sure to reply back to the person that recommended it that she must be smoking something. I would pretty much go anywhere else in Atlanta for a massage. None of the staff seemed happy to be there, or even willing to act like it for the customers. I feel bad saying this, but, the massage therapist did not smell good. As in, I had to hold my breath because of her body odor. That combined with the mediocre massage was, like I said...not good. Never going back. more

I had an appointment with Sara who is supposed to be a master stylist that charges 50 dollars. The entire experience, hair cut, style, etc. was garbage. I truly could've gotten a better cut, style, and even a nicer stylist anywhere else. She seemed totally rushed and inattentive to what she was doing. She didn't explain what products she put in my hair unless I asked. One of the things I usually love about higher end salons, is the the feeling of rapport and friendship you can have with your stylist. In this instance, it completely lacked. In all actuality, I could've forgiven the poor customer service and attention if she would've turned out a great cut and style. Unfortunately, that did not happen. My 13 yr old cousin could've straightened my hair 10x better than she did. She flipped some pieces out and flipped some pieces in and NONE of my hair was shiny or smooth. I ended up having to go home and re-straighten my hair so it looked somewhat presentable. I will never go back here again and I wish I would've seen all these reviews before I made an appointment here. Next time, I'll just stick to my wonderful stylist at Van Michaels (who was unfortunately booked for the one day I needed her) Pros: nothing really Cons: everything else more

The Famous Key Lime Pie from Kutchie's Kutcharitaville Cafe in Asheville, NC. is Home Made by Kutchie Pelaez himself Everyday. We order Whole pies from there all the time. Kutchie make them from his grandmother's 1920's recipe. She lived in Key West in those years. The pie is the Finest Key Lime Pie that we have ever Eaten and we have tried it everywhere but Kutchie's is simply the the BEST Key Lime Pie Money Can Buy! We wish that Kutchie would start a web-site to sell his pies nation wide but he says that he already makes all that he can now. I have been going to KLP for 15+ years. I have never felt any of the negitive comments I have read on here. DJ is a excellent owner and takes good care of her clients, the staff is five star and well trained. I have tried others but always come back to KLP. Go relax in the spa and enjoy this Atlanta gem. Was on time for a 9:45 single process color touch up appointment. Stylist "Dana" finally came over at 10:05. No "sorry I'm running late" nothing. Takes ten minutes to get roots done. Then left sitting there for almost another 1 and 1/2 hours while she dealt with other customers. Usually don't write reviews on these sites but this is the SECOND time this has happened. Worst spa experience ever!!! The incompetent staff made the spa unbearable. The staff will not call you back to schedule appointments. The receptionist is rude and condescending. Anytime you have a question you will sit on hold for at least 10 minutes, then when the pick back up they have forgotten that they put you on hold. I didn't pay attention to the negative reviews and should have. I had appts. for mani/pedi/haircut/ and color--a day for me before Christmas. The mani/pedi was very good--although, my nails ended up ruined because of putting on a smock for the haircut. While I was getting my mani, the stylist came over to check on me--said it wasn't a problem that the mani was running late--she talked to me about what I wanted done to my hair............15 minutes later she returned stating that she was given an "add-on" therefore I couldn't get my color done that day, but I could return the following day. I don't know if I was "bumped" for a regular client or what. I'm new to the area and my salon in Cary, NC highly recommended this salon........I was deeply disappointed that I didn't get my hair color, and my nails were ruined as well--the haircut wasn't good either--not for all of my cowlicks or for my texture. I'm going to a different salon tomorrow! more

I have been going to Key Lime off and on for years. I had moved away back to Buckhead and tried to find a great stylist. This past week- i made an appt-and was not sure who to use and i ended up getting a young girl that just moved here from Florida. Her name is Megan-i must say i am pretty picky with my hair and wanted someone who listens. My hair cut was the best i have had in years- and was at the time paying top $$. The prices are great the and service is just the best, including the front desk and staff that checks on you from time to time. I just love my hair and now have found a great stylist. If you want a great hair cut and someone that listens to you, go to Megan. I have now found a great stylist and will continue to do all my services at Key Lime. Anything negative you here about salon is wrong..great salon, and megan is great. Thanks-janetann :) more

DJ refuses to give information on her past employees, and even tells clients they no longer work in the industry. Lili Wu (esthetician) is at Jolie the Day Spa in Buckhead 404-266-0060. The front desk knows what they're doing, the management knows how to run a business and the technicians are licensed. Chadd Jonesmith (hair stylist) is at A La Mode in Midtown 404-351-5775. He owns the business and has defnitely learned NOT what to do from DJ. The salon is quiet, no drama and his business is thriving. I just moved to ATL about 7 months ago and decided to go to Key Lime after a recommendation from a co-worker. I made an appointment with the owner, but she only picked the color and let someone else do it. I wanted to just get a touch-up on roots since I had my hair colored and highlighted in NJ before I left for ATL. The color did not match the rest of my hair. It came out darker! They did not know what they were doing! I was very upset. However, the funniest part is that everyone complainted me on how nice my hair color was but Key Lime DID NOT color and/or highlighted my hair originally it was my salon in NJ. I would never go back there again! I am so scared to try another salon in ATL that I just wait until I go to NJ to get it color and cut. I didn't know where to go and trusted the place bc of the location and atmosphere. When I called to request someone who had been there the longest I found that the employee there the longest had only been with KLP a few years which concerned me a bit. I went with the owner instead... She is crazy and she gave me a freaking mullet! She was so mean to her employees it made me more tense than a bad day at work! Don't go here I wish I had read reviews before going. Now I have to deal with my hair until I can get it fixed and I wasted a lot of money.
